Few minutes ago I was waiting for an app to open, and it just froze. This happens a lot, so I repeatedly pressed the home button, but did not get a response.
I assumed the home button was fucked again, but before I tried to turn it off, the screen went black. I tried to restart, but didn't get any response.
Now I'm waiting for its battery to run out. I'm running ios 7; not sure which version. Any solutions? I cannot reset it since I cannot remember the last time I backed it up.

I did go out with my phone in my pocket and it's pretty cold. Could that have done anything?
It's doing nothing when plugged. No response from the PC or the phone.
