i dont think so, unless it has minihdmi in it, or a compatible usb-c video out mode
if you are handy you can probably get a working second hand screen (even if the glass is busted, as long as the digitizer and lcd works) from ebay, take out your screen and use the "new" one to get your data back
or just buy a proper screen assembly and replace it for good

How do I extract subs from a video so that I can apply them to another video?

If they're softsubs, you can extract them with either ffmpeg or mkvextract;
>ffmpeg -i "input file.mkv" -map 0:s:0 "output file.ass"
assuming the file is an mkv and the subs are .ass.
mkvextract:
>mkvextract tracks "input file.mkv" 3:"output file.ass"
assuming the file is an mkv and the subs are .ass and the subtitle track is #3 (you get the track number with mkvinfo).
If the file is an mp4 with softsubs, the ffmpeg command also works. And of course, if the subs are .srt or whatever, either command also works.
If you're not using Linux, INSTALL GENTOO, or if you're a faggot, install ffmpeg or whatever is the windows version of mkvtoolnix (mkvtoolwin?) on windows.
