No. For strictly personal use, there's no problem. But as soon as you share your work with others it could be an issue. Not worth suing over, but still.

If it's just a personal game and you're not going to publish it anywhere then it doesn't matter, nobody's going to hunt you down over using freely provided images in a pet project. But if you plan on hosting or uploading it somewhere then you should at the very least check with the artists to see if they're okay with it. Even if they uploaded their images for free use, you should do them the courtesy of asking and credit them in your game.

1. Open up PS and slap your image in
2. Press ctrl + U to get Hue/saturation tab
3. Change the hue and saturation of the reds, yellows, cyans, magentas, greens and blues with the tab.
4. (Optional) Make sure to play around with it until you learn which configurations do what. You know, just to know what to do if you want to do this again

To get it flipped, click Edit>Transform

To get the white effect with a fast and easy way, make a new layer first
Take the lasso tool and select which parts you want white (holding shift allows you to select without cancelling the last selection)
Fill the selection with white
Go to Filters>Blurs>Gaussian Blur and add the desired amount of fading to it

I don't think this is true. We know the cosine part doesn't change if x changes to -x, so you can actually simplify this to

d*x*sin(d*x) = d*|x|*sin(d*|x|) - 1

where d = pi*n. Well it turns out that without the -1, these equations are actually equal, because at points where sin would be negative on either side, it gets canceled out. Not sure how to explain it best, but if you plug in something like dx = -.5pi and dx = 1.5pi you'll see that it's right. But the -1 fucks everything up and makes the equation permanently imbalanced.

I graphed it just to make sure, with n=3 - like I expected, if you change that 1 to a 0 they are exactly equal. Unless I am misunderstanding that equals sign, the equality is invalid.

You can say that "eat less, exercise more" is vague and obvious, but that doesn't mean it isn't a valid answer. It's just not what OP wants, either because they're unable to use the answer, or they're simply unwilling to believe it. And to their credit, a correct answer isn't necessarily a helpful answer, so they may be frustrated at a simple answer they can't work with. To them, a real answer would be a step-by-step weight loss strategy with meal-planning, exercise routines, etc. directly told to them.

It's normal to see wireless activity even when you have no clients, because every wireless AP has a unique address, and phones scan for nearby APs to help their GPS fix.
