Is the added multi core performance of the new mobile processors worth it for compiling? Single core improvements seem negligible.
Going into 1st year comp-sci, school uses primarily Java, and some C/C++, no clue what compiler I'll be using.

Yes, absolutely.

So long as your storage layer can keep up (and it can so long as you're not compiling Chrome off a hard disk), cores correlate directly to performance.

Going from 4+0 to 4+4 isn't as huge a difference as from 4+0 to 6+6, but it will still be noticeable. If you're doing a lot of building, you should really get the new i7.

I want to find a game I tried to play a long time ago - maybe in 2003, maybe in 2001, maybe earlier. I think it didn't work. I remember that it wa about robots, I think they were in a forest, and it probably was a point-and-click adventure. I also think that you were supposed to find new details. I seem to remember too little to google it, so I can only hope that one of you bros recognises it.

I just cant get it to work at all... Not even enabling DMZ does anything...

Just to be clear, you are talking about a real static IP in contrast to the dynamic one, meaning you have an IP and that one stays the same even after dis- and reconnecting/ plugging out and in again the router, right? Not just an IP that shall stay the same for a longer time because if you are always connected if you are not disconnected once per 24 hours or so even though technically that would be a dynamic one it would still stay that one as long as the connection stays active.

For a true static IP you definitely have to talk to your provider.
