If you like a setup, let that person know. If you see a poor setup, offer them advice and criticism. Giving mere numerical ratings does not help much. Not rating others will highly decrease the chance of your setup being rated.
Rate also still WIP going for simplistic gonna add more and try animations
Really new to this, what i have so far, i like it but its nothing special
Paper and font are comfy, I would move the text up a few pixels
Really well designed, maybe change the navbar buttons if you're rooted
Love the icons and how they are both round with the images.
Nice widgets under the light but I think the app links can be fixed, try a new font and smaller apps. You could also add another page with the other paper with the light turned off. You could experiment and make something out of it because at the moment it's aesthetically
New font, fix the alignment
Try arranging the icons into more of a square grid, I like your pape. I'd use a 24 hr clock or get rid of the am/pm indicator
It's been a long time /wg/. Last thread I posted in was #39. I got inspo for this one from #51, it looks simple but the animations/transitions are really smooth so I'm comfortable with it at the moment. r8s and recs please
Nice theme, matches well
Love this, how did you get the locks teen like that
Pretty good nice and clean
Creative, but a bit cluttered
Like this, but too much going on for me
Theme goes well together
You are raising the bar with this one, love it
Amazing as always
Cool shit, although I don't really like how slow these transitions are
Better without borders imo
These both have the same issue in that the labels look more like random snippets of text instead of self-contained buttons, there isn't a real sense of alignment
Basic but effective, good for beginner
Really good, like it a lot
Don't know why you've cluttered everything in the bottom
Changed the drawer and added a calendar (just for some time till I make one in klwp for the first page)
I like it more now, what's the weather app looks nice
Not a fan of the app drawer but the LS is great, I'm using LS widgets too but can't seem to make a clock I like
Minimal af but I like it, would move the box over the hands tho
Good as always
Not my thing but at least everything matches
Pardon the webm quality, but I'm not using any external recorder.
Real well done, though I'd prefer some more speed on those transitions.
Sorry, but I'm getting real bored of you. I mean the setup is nice and all, but I've seen this posted 20+ times now, with barely noticeable changes.
It's a good start, kinda old style but it's still really nice on the eyes.
I'm not sure what I think of the lockscreen, but I fucking love that homescreen design and completely ripped it off.
Sick, although that the fingers overlap the time completely murders me. Please, try to move it all up a slight bit or something.
Damn adorable, but I can see a 1px border up top ;-)
I fucking love how KLWP has skyrocketed the level of designs and sweet animations.
_everything_ is too big. Nice idea otherwise
Why's there so much Taylor Swift here?
The icons blend in with the background, especially skype. Also, I don't dig that pic as a wallpaper. Looks like it's from a children's book.
Posting in hope for rating one last time before I wipe and start a new rice
Nice, the wallpaper is kind of edgy though
Sweet idea, a little empty; do you have a music widget?
Simple, a bit boring, it feels like you made your own version of a notification bar, I guess you could put a few more icons in if you want
Sweet animation and setup, not a fan of the circular album cover though, it doesn't mix well with all the rectangles. With that said the rounded edges at the bottom are weird for me too
Sweet colors, pretty simple
Pretty comfy, I've never liked that half cut date though, but what ever floats your boat senpai
Nice, I would make the info at the top larger and the slide out drawers translucent
This seems to be a pretty popular style right now, Im not sure about your calender colors though
Looks nice, your info boxes at the top could be bigger though, also I don't really like the battery text, it feels crammed in
Smaller text size for the links, the three white buttons are jarring with the black text 4/10
Weird choice of colour but still nice, maybe shorten all the links to three letters so the text size is uniform otherwise 7/10
Clean af, get rid of the box around the clock unless you like it 8/10
Home screen wall is too busy, switch it with the lock wall. 7/10
Super Clean, but almost boring 7.5/10
Nice as, but space it out. Clock just below middle, apps above hands 8/10
Do you even like using your phone 1/10
Two box at the top are out of place, colour in middle right is unnecessary, icons should be 3-3 not 5-1
Not bad, I think the icons are a little small and the white doesn't have enough contrast
I like everything but the fact the border is outside the actual blur
The single piece of solid greenish colour throws me, other than that it's great
Excellent use of the bottom half of your screen, and I like the calendar
Those icons either need to be bulkier or you need to put something behind them
Only negative here is the fact that your music controls are on top of your album art
This is my homescreen, I launch everything using gestures and don't see a reason for keeping a clock or calendar on the screen when the time and date are displayed on the lock screen, and the time is also displayed on the task bar.
Get rid of the year, and maybe even the seconds. 7/10
Not too bad, seems a bit minimal to me though. 6/10
I personally don't use a lockscreen, and try not to have Taskbar open at all. If you have to use app drawer though, that's a bit of a problem imo. 7/10
Looks nice and simple. Icons should be 3-3 not 5-1. 7/10
This looks like trash.
Shouldn't use black music icons. 6/10
Scraping this to make a new Homescreen. Having a hard time coming up with shit.
Having a high res screen (1440px across) forces me to use quite large images. Sadly, KLWP doesn't seem to handle them all too well though, and gives for uneven animations.
I like your idea though, mainly that dark green box. But you combine huge fonts with tiny ones, maybe try to lower the contrast between them a little?
The album art disappears when music isn't playing.
Yeah, its for the battery. I don't really have an issue reading the text but I'll think about it. I just don't want to add in too big of a bar and block out a portion of the background.
Social media/music/reading etc
First time posting, got a lot of work to do and looking for tips
Remove google search bar, hide notification bar, remove page indicator, get an icon pack that complements your wallpaper (E.g, min) and make the clock a bit brighter/less transparent
Only two things off, the dock stands out because of the solid colour, and the text at the top is a little unreadable because of all the action at the top of the screen. Other than that, it's looking pretty good
Changed my pape 4 times in one day and never came to an homescreen I really liked, but I will settle with that for now. If you guys could help me improve it it'd be awesome.
not in love with the wallpaper but r8 me anyway
Here's mine, stuck with stock 5.0.2 android since there's little to no support for custom ROMs on a Galaxy A5...
Anyone know any good music widgets? I want something more minimalist than the one I have.
forgot to rate, my bad.
love the animations and the whole style really 10/10
8/10 I think the icons could match the text a bit better, and that [- +] thing doesn't match the rest of the style
6/10 nice color choices, seems a little too washed out though
4/10 Nicely done, but it's just not my style really
1/10 Notification bar is visible, folders, dock.. I don't really like anything about it but the wallpaper to be honest
2/10 Get an icon pack, fix that repulsive clock and calendar just floating around the middle, get rid of the dock.
4/10 More consistent than your first attempt but it's way too fucking busy for me
7/10 really nice wallpaper and I love the text to launch apps. I don't really know what those circle icons above the apps do though.
5/10 Pretty decent, the clock is just a complete failure though.
7/10 quite nice, I can't really see any issues here.
All of these ratings are just based on how much I like the design so take what I say with a pinch of salt.
Can someone please tell me step by step how to make possible to have different items in each page in Nova launcher? I know it's an animation but I can't figure it out how to make it to work
I made this little figure and took the photo this afternoon. Original one is a bit bigger but had to crop to post here. Do you think something nice could be done out of it or maybe try other angles? Just got a new phone today and currently using it as lock screen but the screen is pretty much empty.
It'd look cool if you extended your wallpaper and added a screen on each side for apps and shit and make the paper scroll. Your left screen would be white with black shit on it, center stays the same and the right one is black with white things on it(apps, weather, news...)
i don't understand how, without a notification bar or with a minimalistic pape and ui, you all keep track of battery status, wifi status and all the other shit that's missing from your homescreen
like are you OK with all the extra menu maneuvering just so your homescreen looks good?
this is my currect homescreen, I'm NOT HAPPY with it and want to remove the notification bar but i also want to have all the info on my screen... i can't get the right aesthetic/usefullnes balance
Get a Windows phone and all your screen clutter and notifications problems will disappear.
Not to mention you'll get access to Win 10's advanced UI which everybody here started copying. (simple icons, one colour, flat everything)
first rice .
what do you guys think ?
no root btw
Nah dude imma stick to the marshmallows dont like the packs available on the play store
Think I posted it in the wrong thread so I'll just repost it here.
Any help would be appreciated.
I just swipe down from the top when I need to know the battery and check my watch for the time
I did have a nice minimalist battery widget on my homescreenm but it I wanted my homescreen to consist of just icons and a pape because muh minimalism
not the poster you replied to but I happen to have that pape so here it is
nothing special but i love it
icons are whites
WTF it's literally all shit. Didn't you understand a thing? I don't really mind the one with God and with the foggy mountains but yours are the worst.
It's the same thing for each one: remove the dock, the page indicator, the menu bar, all widgets and icons (you can keep them only if you're a pro xP like me).
And then you have to use KLWP. Basically you remove everything from screen with Nova Prime and then you style it all up with KLWP.
Italy! Leonardo Da Vinci, Dante Alighieri, Reenzy!
I prefer the first one but you should change the colours and the wallpaper. And maybe make it cooler as aDrift does
Anyone know how to keep the icon pack but change nova's app drawer launcher?
If you want less clutter in general and don't constantly need e-mail and notes, you could move the two to another screen, or make a Popup Widget (in Play Store) to toggle them on a tap.
I use Popup Widget for Pushbullet and Keep widgets.
First attempt at real customizaton, how is it?
Trying to get some critics. I don't know how I did it (wrong or right).
Good as always but I like how smooth is all.
Really cool 9/10. I just feel "something" out of place, but I don't know what is it.
Very good but boring.
Cool for first steps.
Lovely, but try to rate, mate.
I remember you from other threads. I like how did you grow it. 10/10.
You're going in the good way but I feel like is not very good, I don't know why. 8/10
Great, but I don't like the low part. 8/10
Try to tweak the icons by yourself, and for me it is a 10/10.
Very great. I guess won't be sloppy on your mobile. 9.5/10. Maybe other background. Also rate mate.
Icons don't fit for me.
Interesting way. Not bad. Rate mate.
This are my rates. Maybe are not beautiful, but they are mine. Why people nowadays almost don't rate?
These are just ideas but I don't know in which to keep working
I feel like the recording, resizing, converting to WebM, and making it all fit in under 3mb kinda ruins everything
join #homescreen on rizeon
+this one automatically wins over B because no plant background
-Keep the font consistent
+you managed to avoid 2clocks/10
-no room, you have more than 1 page to use
-every single widget
+widget font works
-icons take away from the image, try moving them somewhere else
.reminds me of the standard homescreen 7-8 months ago
you can read the text just fine
i will figure out how to record like this
Need help with my clock. I am using the bar until a good clock is suggested.
and it seems you're using tiny white icons, which has an icon for the app drawer. as said, long press it and "edit".
minimalistic text looks like it'll have something simple for you.
Hope this webm works, first time making one.
>Didn't pay attention
>Posted in the noob thread by accident
Sorry it's late, don't have the bar anymore, was in klwp
Changed my mind about this design, so changed to this.
Going Windows. Homescreen of my Lumia 930
Nice, but the battery level seems rather out of place
That text is hard to read, the paper takes up too much real estate
I really like this one, but the icons look off. Not sure if its the colour or the shape though
Icons too hard to see, wallpaper too busy for readability. Try placing something behind them or adding some black to the bottom of the wallpaper and moving it up
As clock widgets go, Zooper, UCCW and KWGT are all good choices. If you want to take another step up, there's KLWP.
Not a bad first attempt, but you need to spread your elements out somehow
I really like the shadowing and separation on this one. I'm not even sure if I can make the two clocks criticism here. Try turning the notification bar off entirely, and maybe expand into another screen for music?
I really like the theme in A, but it bugs me that the text overlaps the picture. Could you move it somewhere else?
As for B, nice, but you're missing an icon and the lower half of the screen seems like it could be put to use
Text is unreadable, try and frame the wallpaper with readable solid components that you can place text on rather than avoid putting things on it at all. Also, the font sort of sucks
Zooper, kwgt, uccw, klwp
Read the OP
Try changing the clock to a lighter colour, and consider removing labels in your app drawer if only to match the homescreen. Other than that, pretty good!
Man, I just straight up like this one. Only off thing is the grey circle around the day, should be white
The 100% black bars seem a bit dark, try making them slightly grey and adding a black border
If you don't have widgets, you can't have two clocks!
Remove page indicator and notification bar
Text at the bottom left of the second screen clashes and the icon pack needs to be complete, other than that, great rice
Love the monochrome style 9/10
Fuckin' love it 9/10
Looks a little boring 7/10
This is pretty nice
Definetely better than B 8/10
Haven't seen one pixel-animeted yet so 7/10
Love the color and the simplicity 9/10
You all should go here >>6436026
I think the recording screwed me over, its quite easy to read. Also Futura is a timeless font!
OC pape. Icon contrast is not the greatest, I have minoir but I'm too lazy to fix it so here's this.
I'm running out of ideas and I lack knowledge on how the animations were done on KLWP. R8 pls and also tips.
Could anyone help me. I really need a new phone that is easy to rice, has a good camera, good screen but in a relatively decent budget. Everything I have searched don't seem tat great. Any help would be much appreciated.
New phone, just whipped this up
I need some tips, preferably with klwp and hex codes for some color to go behind the dock and the widget bars. But idk halp
hey guys this is my first stab at KLWP, any suggestions?
Feel like something's missing. Suggestions?
r8 my simplistic homescreen.
does anyone have that green misty wallpaper with the car?
Holy shit upload the zip, please. I'll upload one of mine in return, got 33
I'm really unoriginal, but it works for me.
Also icons are a placeholder cause new phone, I'm not gonna keep the Nova options icon on my homescreen.
Learn KLWP, something like that is actually relatively simple to achieve once you know what you're doing
See pic related to get started
Just started learning how this works today, I'm having a ton of fun.
First attempt at this. Any suggestions?
first attempt at something that looks good
I've been trying to find a decent wallpaper for my phone, but the resolution's at a size that makes it...difficult.
That setup is awesome. Would spend hours tweaking that for myself.
My first real attempt messing with KLWP
New phone and newfag. Work in progress. I like the Verizon messaging app but I don't think its possible to change the color of the widget. As someone who barely knows how Android works, I'm not going to root until confident. Any recommendations besides using a different app? On a 2nd gen Moto X btw.
If someone knows how to change my icon colors without getting a new pack and how to make my clock stagnant with the wallpaper, I will be greatful if your share your knowledge.
First and foremost turn your status bar off, as for the icon, most people don't like to mix and match icon packs but: find a pack with a wanted icon for that app, download, then hold, edit, and replace the icon
Is there a filter on the background? If so take it off. Also making the clock words bigger will make the screen 8/10
Solid, if you put a blur or a faded white rectangle inside the frame behind the clock then
>Rate and Receive
>Stagnant with the wallpaper
Icons look shitty, and you don't need those app labels.
Too many icons. Clock inside box is too big.
Remove the notification bar and use a different icon for the one that's different.
Icons clash with the flames and the clock is a bit meh for the wallpaper.
not a fan of circle icons but cool layout and pape
I like the concept but the images clash with the background. I would try a background with neutral or complimentary colors to fit with the pictures
kinda boring for my taste
fonts dont match pape imo and the icons look weird on the left screen
aye can't rate atm but here's mine
First attempt. Used UCCW. Please be gentle.
Forgot to rate
I like it, especially the words for widgets
Good, I'm not a fan of the clock but that's just me
Very chill and pop, very bright, good! Would try to cut the names from the apps off
I love the way everything is coordinated, I'd get rid of the dock/apps icon though
