If you like a setup, let that person know. If you see a poor setup, offer them advice and criticism. Giving mere numerical ratings does not help much. Not rating others will highly decrease the chance of your setup being rated.
glad someone finally did it. still beautiful. heavily influenced my own. shameless 10/10!
we were wrecks before we crashed into each other. you listen to csh? have you heard the new album yet? not as good as "how to leave town" but its his first signed album. (yeah, im fucking fanboy scum)
my old rice for shits
Thinking about making something completely new. Should I go for a standard theme or base it on a vidya/show/whatever?
9/10 Lots of unused space and small features, but quite appealing.
8/10 2deep4me but fairly well done
9/10 This should be made stock for the platform.
8/10 Not a fan of the wallpaper nor lack of clock, but it does the trendy setup well.
7/10 It's functional, but simple white icons with no wrapper and lack of a clock kinda kill it for me.
Most/all of it is sourced from the show (Wakfu) and shooped together.
It's just a shitload of elements in KLWP with looped animations and other effects. Background clipping is done with multiple layers: an oval masks the background element and scales up, and the blue oval-shaped portal-thing is slapped over it with the same animations. You can kinda see through the illusion on the transition to the right screen.
I know I'll get shit for the search bar but I use it alot, it's needed for me.
Mine is >>6434760
Super confused on why this is liked, it's unappealing to me but hey to each their own 6.5/10
I like it, I don't know the band but I know it's an album cover so the crude art is explainable 7/10
Love the background it gives me a feeling of devistation, and icon look nice and neat 8/10
Looks nice, also love the music widget, what's the name of it, I've been looking for a good one. 8/10
Love the scrolling animation on the wallpaper, 9.5/10 only because of the clock it's not my style but I respect it
Really empty, not a huge fan 5/10
5/10 No clock, mediocre icon set and a ton of unused space. A stylized clock and square/angled icons would help considerably.
6/10 Functional, though not polished. Icons could use organization and homogenization, the clock is somewhat dull, and the third screen seems to be unused. Keep an eye out for similarly-themed KLWP setups for some ideas, as these should be your next step.
The art is a nice touch, how is efficiency?
Blurry pic isn't my cup of tea, but I think other than that it looks good
Icons are hard to see, maybe use bigger ones? That's mostly preference though
Holy cow that is great, is that KLWP?
Simple but quaint
Kinda empty, though I use the search bar too alot (Pic related)
Here is what I got after my first day of ricing. Fucked around in Nova, used icon packs, and tried to get a handle on KLWP. Are there any good tutorials for KLWP? I have some ideas but have no clue how to do them.
Also lock screen suggestions? I hate the default Note 5 one, but AC Display doesn't work well with KLWP
5/10 add more style
8/10 clean and functional, though the search bar still intrudes a bit. I remember there was one guy with a red cowboy theme who did the search bar thing well. Perhaps try to find alternate search bar themes?
For lockscreens, WidgetLocker is the best in my book. Just make some Zooper widgets for it. It's what I did at least.
Stolen from adrift. Did the icons fit? I really don't want to use glyphs.
9/10 Nothing to complain though
I like what you did on the bottom part. Experiment more.
Too boring for me. But cool idea. I saw once like that, but it is more beautiful and not boring to look at. Hope you find that too.
Didn't know how to remove the top bar lel. Those bottom icons are the ones I use most frequently, best I can do is make them smaller.
I'll possibly add a bars for wi-fi, cell signal and battery but for now it's good enough
also I removed the lockscreen
Well, now you have an opaque navbar, and that looks worse. Try sticking a translucent bordered rectangle (a la others in this thread) under your icons. It'll at least make them look like they belong.
It's got parts from like three themes at once. Match the clock with the icons or vice-versa, and change the other elements to match.
It looks cool, but where are the functional bits? Is it all gestures or something?
You seem to be trying too many different themes at once. Make a custom clock in Zooper or something, and integrate the top bar's functionality to it (also remove the top bar). The icon pack does not fit the wallpaper, so change at least one of the two. The extra text looks tacky as it is. At least put it in a box and gussy it up, but I'd recommend removing most of it. Finally, try to remove some of the icons and the page indicator. Too many icons can look cluttered; a good medium is something like 3-8 on the main screen.
Oops, forgot to keep it transparent while removing the notification bar. I think it looks great now. Thanks mate.
Sorry for spamming the thread with my screens, friends. Final screen I'm posting.
Would appreciate some r8's
>where are the functional bits
touching the hours display opens the calendar
the minutes display opens the drawer
the home button (fixed outside of the screen) opens the phone
sliding down brings down the notification bar
rest is complicated gestures so I usually open the drawer and go from there
7/10 a little cluttered, the clock seems smooshed ( the technical term) I like it just a little rough. Background?
Pic related, its my current build
I think I still need to align the clock at the top some more, but I'm happy with this layout otherwise.
Seeing your big ass clock made me understand why you think mine is 'smooshed' lol.
Anyways, here you go.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions for improvement? It's basicly my first try.
The image and overall B/W theme have been used a lot, so this might not be too original, but I like it.
Just made, it's my first try and I still need to get the ropes. Any advice?
Does anyone know of any good icon pack a that might go well with this?
lol why i see many posts without giving feedback asking for it, come on people don't turn these threads to shit
i'm using the same one, really love to have my most used apps / >clock / music widget in one page for comfort, just changed the drawer to vertical list
seems like it's missing something, clock maybe
nice progress bar and the rectangle at the bottom
looks like some hard job here but still i dont like it, but it's ok i mean its your right
icons are cute but come on this is lazy af
second and third pages are like empty idk seem useless
cool pape, still have to dig more
i like it (im a sucker for those icons and like everything that has them 2bh) but would make the box thinner
nothing matches 2bh
Hi, I made this white homescreen. It's not finished desu but I had no idea what can I do with this blank space and I got bored. Now I want to do something with this wallpaper. Any suggestions?
Damn bro why'd you skip me? That's just rude.
BTW is your music player/clock supposed to overlap the day's name, or does that only happen when changing tracks? Otherwise 9/10 love the simplicity.
Made some final adjustments to mine. Feedback?
This one was heavily influenced by someone else's B/W theme, though I did expand on it a little
I don't like the amount of blank space, it could be better used. There was an alternate version of that posted in the last thread that I liked better
I love the animations on this, but the theme looks a bit scattered (icons, clock, wallpaper don't work well together)
I don't like the search bar but apart from that it's pretty good
White doesn't work well here
Can i suggest making it look like 2 separate blocks instead of a single L shaped one
I like this
This looks extremely nice, but I'd get annoyed at having to turn my phone sideways for music
So I got bored and decided to change it. Is it better or worse?
First time doing these kind of things, any improvements you would recommend?
Another one without the top thing
8/10 - Nice homescreen, I don't know in your phone, but in mine, the pape looks like a low resolution; and instead using a "Classic" clock, I would use a "Digital" one.
7.5/10 - It's not bad, the problem is not your pape, but that box with icons... It's too... I don't know... "colorful"? I hope you understand what i'm trying to say.
8.5/10 - Beautiful. I actually don't have much to say about your homescreen.
8,5/10 - In my opinion, I would resize those icons to a smaller size, and then I would centralize 'em.
What do you think about this icon size?
A little bit better, and hey, remember: This is your home, if you feel comfortable using a bigger icon size, use it. You don't have to change it just because I told you I would do that.
I need some help.
How do I mplace my wallpaper in the middle with Apex or Nova Launcher? Both move the center of my wallpaper to the leftmost screen and not the actual home screen. How do I fix this?
First time poster, any feedback? Windows 98 themed
Also anyone know of a lockscreen where I could get rid of this dark overlay and still have text password?
Thanks anon. I tried this font earlier but I'm not sure if it looks better than the other one
An update. Guess the older one is more pleasing in the eyes. I will just try this Windows 95 set up. I'll try to improve this >>6434911
Get more inspiration.
Smooth as always. My phone got low ram. Can't do that klwp. Dem.
Nice grid. But sad icons and widgets. Try smoother icons.
Nice pape. But nothing works.
8/10. Use Windows 95 icons by ipapun. It is on .ico but convert it to png online
This is wicked. Can't help you. Sorry.
Cool really. But not a fan of that blood.
My icons are on the next page, I'm using bb10.
I like the icons, they add color and it looks nice. It's close to being over the top though. Maybe find a material wallpaper or something. Otherwise, I still like it.
I dig the theme, but the meme box feels out of place.
A bit too cluttered, there's a lot going on. I preferred the original.
Get the original icons and you're golden.
I don't like the placement of the clock, and I don't like the page indicator.
I like your placement.
Hide the notification bar, page indicator, dock, and find or make a more discrete weather widget.
Very clean. I like it.
got a new header image. thanks for the rates. alo. should i block the background by putting album art to go with the music widget? this is my left page.
>>6436925 nive classic setup. i like the play button on the music widget. too much stuff though. 7/10
>>6436776 really like the icons, but not with that paper fix for a better score 4/10
>>6436758 this gives me a boner 10/10
>>6436683 youve improved alot! 9/10
>>6436604 nice b&w theme 6/10
>>6436491 reminds me of resevoir dogs, or the rammstein vid based off it. 8/10
>>6436322 cool! i really enjoy the icons 8/10
>>6436288 the kind of simplicity i like to see. nice paper too. 9/10
>>6435680 my old setup used to look something like this. nothing to really improve except functionality 8/10
>>6435494 beautiful shade of blue. nice music widget too. 8/10
>>6435311 nice n clean. good for a first try. 7/10
>>6435062 10/10. icons go so well with paper and calendar amd font
>>6434911 >expierement more. but m8 yours looks the same. 8/10
I still have the same problem.
I'm trying to work with Apex, but it won't show the middle of my wallpaper on the homescreen, instead it shows the middly of my wallpaper in the utmost left screen. Can someone help me how to fix this?
Hey everyone, noob here. I'm in a bit of what could be called a pickle. I'm trying to set up a 'terminal-style' full screen zooper widget, and I'm stuck on one thing:
I have one line on the 'terminal screen' that's dedicated to the battery and it's condition. It is displaying percentage (obvious), voltage and temperature. Now after the final bit I want colored text displaying either "good" if the battery is between say 100 and 50%, "Low" for percentages between 49 and 11% and "Critical" for below that.
It's easy enough to create only one of these, using the following advanced conditional: $X<Y?Z$ (Write Z only if X is smaller than Y). The problem comes in when you start "stacking up" this conditional. Say I've got one set up for displaying different text below 10% and below 50%, it'll work fine while the battery is below 10%, however as soon as that happen the two results will display on top of each other.
I've tried along with the conditional and adding "and" and "or" variables, though that seems to break it.
Do you guys know how to work around this?
Pic related, it's my current homescreen, soon to be completely replaced by the terminal.
It's been a while
Good pape taste, Not a fan of all the data at the top of the screen. 5/10
Simple, nice clock. 7/10
Rect doesn't match the rest of your screen. 4/10
Low res pape, not a fan of those icons, remove the drawer icon. 5/10
Nice. Just have one question.
do you have something against dooooooOOOOOOOOOOGGGS? 8/10
Very nice, reminds me of my setup, your second screen blows my setup out of the water though. 9/10
If you want to keep the icons, you should probably change the pape then, they clash a little. 5/10
That's pretty rad looking. Digging your rectangles. Does the Start button open your drawer? 8/10
A lot of people love to try to recreate the Hotline Miami aesthetic, but many fall short. Yours didn't. 8/10
Well done, maybe change the icons? Nice music taste as well. 7/10
agree with the other anon, pape is nice but pixelated. not a fan of the offset iG / phone icons. cool clock though
too much going on for my taste. would be better if split amongst a couple screens imo. don't like the pink or the mismatched theme (pixelated, minimalist, artsy? pick one) I like the pape and the icons.
neat, I was wearing that pape just recently. Why'd you crop out the bird :/
minimalism at its finest. I dig the transparency.
>First try, still earning how to into date/clocks.
This is mine, it's a bit much maybe, but it's better than stock.. right?
I'm new to all of this, so if you'd like to rate and give some feedback.
So I'm trying to display a short artist bio on the music screen with KLWP, and I'm failing spectacularly.
I'm okay with RSS, but I've never used xml, and everything I've looked up ain't helping.
I don't care if it's from Wikipedia (most likely easiest), last.fm, discogs, or whatever, I just want a clean bio/summary of mi(artist).
Anyone know how to do this?
My first KLWP, copied it off of >>6436925
Hope anon doesn't mind. I think I am in need of new icons though.
>>6438086 Too bland anon.
>>6438447 Also too bland..
>>6438521 Again with the bland?
>>6438553 Looks nice anon, though the icon placement is throwing me off.
>>6438671 That's pretty cool. Though I don't see the need in that.
first time trying this really
wallpaper was off a space thread on this board, and tiny white icon pack
anyone have any idea how to change the colours of the notification bar, i dont want to change all the other colours in the system just the notifications bar
Okay so you have your two pages, one with icons/clock/whatever the fuck you want on it. Then you have your second page, with your music and probably the clock/battery if you so choose. First you make it so animations are on the icons/things on your first page. as long as you choose the center screen the thing of your choosing will be on, I.E screen 1 or 2, then you set the animation to fade or scroll or do whatever the fuck you want. You do that for the rest of everything you want, it's a long process but it looks nice afterwards. If you need help more I will be here.
So do u mean a second page which I just make with android? Because when i scroll sidewards the WP will change a bit if u know what I mean. And how do I make the animations on the icons?
How the fuck do I hide the soft keys or change the icons?
It's from the Phoenix for Zooper widgets pack
Root and xposed modul
technically 2clocks but oh well.
I'm this anon >>6438026
Semi shitpost, its my progress so far, switched to nova, got KLWP, KWDG, and Zooper.
rip in space blackstar
>tfw cant see the lights in the computer window flicker in and out because of compression quality
Anyone know a good icon pack that would go with this?
The box design is really old and has been done by a lot of people, so don't worry, no one's mad. Actually, I'm just glad you liked my rice.
Pro tip: If you want the second widget to only be visible in the inner box, you have to use KLWP.
I just changed it a bit again
It's not much, but it's home to me
Rate my tryhard plz.
Almost a stock android. Like this.
My first serious try. Any tips or recomendations?
Here's the klwp, it's my entire homescreen: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3cc5fj4fdbdt0vb/homescreen5.klwp.zip
Also here's the zooper file for the clock, I recreated it in klwp so it looks exactly the same: http://www.mediafire.com/download/78gl5lsdr1libuj/pinksplashclock.zw
if you want the icons let me know, i have them in a separate zip file with a bunch of other shit in it
Just got a new phone and this is what I have so far
10/10 for cremation lily
first self-made klwp, took inspo from the gallery but made everything by myself.
I've tried to add rss to the widget screen but Simple RSS Widget is giving me troubles and every time I apply the settings the widget disappears. any idea how to fix it?
Nice and minimal.
Black is worse.
If you're O.K. with that - it's good.
Set your blur to fit borders.
Dark and depressive.
Your icons seem to be lost on the background.
Get rid of that Google bar. Long press on home is better than that.
You inspired me, thanks, 10/10.
>cm theme engine
neat but not a necessity
>more nova options
the default ones will do
>boot logo animations
are you serious?
the dude just want his phone to look nice not have a complete overhaul man.
new phone, third one in a fucking month, will rice when i get back from my trip
First real try (and copied someone elses design anyway)
Not sure what to do about the icons, or if I should consider a new pack
Icons sucks. Get whicons.
Change dock, change clock, change everything.
Also new screen
You were right about the icons (also centered everything better)
I'll change the clock if you can tell me what exactly is wrong with it
Posted last thread, got some recommendations, changed some shit. I'm gonna make a new rice very soon; this one is getting boring.
Black and white seems to be getting pretty popular ; I like it
that clock font is weird af senpai, also I don't like the elements sliding in from outside the box; It looks messy
More neato black and white; it could use a clock though
Those are some cool as hell animations extra point for BoC
Reminder to rate to be rated
s2 guy here
Yeah I flashed cyanogenmod 12.1 (lollipop) because the s2 stopped getting updates at jellybean. Still works remarkably well. Only gripe is the screen really, 480p youtube is hard to go back to.
I really should get my s5 fixed, but this is working well enough that I'm putting it off.
Best i can do without rootin' and shit
I'm the newbie again. I'm already using Nova but I have a few questions:
- How do I add widgets to my lockscreen? Can't see anything for android 5.1.1
- Can I modify the status bar without root? I would like to add a clock with a widget but is dumb to use it if I already have a clock on the bar
Lollipop doesn't allow widgets on the lock screen, though I've heard of live wallpapers working around that in the future.
Best you can do without root is hiding the status bar, through Nova.
Get C Locker. It lets you customize your lockscreen. The downside is that only the pro version will let you apply wigets from other apps. The free version just gives you a few shitty clocks. Get it if you're willing to spend 3 bucks or so.
oh, that sucks :(
this is how my screen looks now
