Phone Thread #146
Timma's busy and he shouldn't be the sole arbiter of opinion. Don't get your collective panties in a bunch. We can all agree that last thread was pretty weak so cue the inevitable whinging about the OP selection. Happy 2016 let's try and make it good for rice.
Before asking for a wallpaper, reverse image search it. This function is built into 4chan now. Its not hard to do.

Wow, I was going to praise you for making a new thread, and Timma' is in fact not the sole creator of new threads, as he stated before.
But then you fucking put a RWBY rice in the OP. What the fuck is wrong with you?
We all make mistakes, I don't know what the fuck RWBY is. It looked anime and it's the closest the thread had to a decent rice.
I wasn't exactly up to my eyeballs in rice that wasn't shit or reposted.
It's ok anon. Just know that Rwby is literally cancer and we'll be good.
New rice. I know it looks like shit but I wanted to try this layout.
The app drawer icon is from a different style, I don't if it's intentional but I don't like it.
Very nice colors, except for the icons.
The icons don't match with flat style of the rice, everything else looks good.
I like this layout.
This one is basically just the wallpaper.
real simple, hold the homescreen button for apps and different swipes do certain commands
Here's with the bar. I'm going to edit it so the bars floating, and not one solid line through the screen though.
I don't have the original without the bar on my phone, if you want it I can find it though.
Yeah, it's just such a pain actually ricing, so I'm just going with ricing the background now, really.
Did Nova Launcher lose the ability to set "full" wallpapers? I've done it before, but for the life of me I cannot find a way to do it now, it keeps wanting me to take a static portion of a wallpaper and use that portion only.
Do you mean the parallax effect? It's in desktop>wallpaper scrolling. And when you pick an image with Nova you select the part you want on the main screen, the other is seen when scrolling through pages.
Yes, and I have the wallpaper scrolling on, but whenever I go to set the wallpaper it doesn't seem to care. It just stays as the part that I chose for the main screen across all of them.
It still gives me the same problem. Doing that brings up an identical screen from doing it in the image gallery. It only lets me choose a portion like this, along with completely cutting off the space above her head.
Haven't changed my rice in a long time but suddenly got the urge to make it look different.
The functionality is really low because I use my phone for very few things these days, so just tried to go for something pretty instead.
Feedback is appreciated.
#000 is a #NoNoNo
I'm impressed by how low quality your wallpaper is. I think it's probably the lowest quality wallpaper I've ever seen. Also your widgets aren't vertically centered and your homescreen is blank and useless, put shit in it m8.
Turn off icon labels, get better icons, hide page indicators, remove the background from the widget and try to avoid clashing the things in you wallpaper with the things on your homescreen.
I think there's another setting that you need to switch as well to make full wallpapers work and it's easy to forget about. That's a very vague memory so don't expect me to get specific.
neato, just need to change the thing between the time values.
>I'm impressed by how low quality your wallpaper is. I think it's probably the lowest quality wallpaper I've ever seen.
It is meant to be artistic.
>#000 is a #NoNoNo
>neato, just need to change the thing between the time values.
How and why?
>it is meant to be artistic
meant to be AUTISTIC amirite?
But no in all seriousness that's a dumb argument; it looks bad. Smearing shit on a wall may be modern art but that doesn't mean it looks good or works for a phone wallpaper.
#000 looks bad, if you think differently then I disagree with you. Everyone I've ever seen change from #000 to dark grey has agreed that it looks better but that's up to you if you don't like it and have shit taste :^)
However he wants to as long as it works better, just a normal : would work fine.
it's too bulbous and doesn't really fit the thin font he's used. Nothing on his rice really screams round or squidgy, it's lots of thin and elegant lines. You might say the icons are fat and blobby but they aren't, for his rice thinner is better and the blob he has atm doesn't work very well.
I'm thinking you were annoyed with me for just telling him to change it and not offering any explanations or suggestions of my own. People shouldn't always have to critique like that. Sometimes you can just tell something is off but you don't have an idea in your head of how to fix it.
If you didn't mean it like that then who gives a shit it's just 4chan this is all bullshit anyway.
Using flat black is often times a horrible move. It creates a very harsh and stark contrast and comes off way to bold. Replacing black with #252525 or even #181818 if you need darker is generally a better looking color combo.
Feel free to use any color you want though, its your phone. But when you post here and someone tells you how to improve it don't throw a fit.
>mfw people are arguing about my shit rice and someone is actually defending it.
I'll change the colors and the icons and keep the same layout. If it doesn't work I'll scrap the rice and try a new one.
Smh senpai. Maybe that color palette is just really ugly.
>meant to be AUTISTIC amirite?
Shut the fuck up, Foom.
Oh shit, I guess I thought you were talking about something else than I thought you were, sorry.
>I'm thinking you were annoyed with me for just telling him to change it and not offering any explanations or suggestions of my own. People shouldn't always have to critique like that. Sometimes you can just tell something is off but you don't have an idea in your head of how to fix it.
Not really, I just wanted to shitpost, go do some school work, you know, school starts on Wednesday.
Just got into riding when I got my new phone. Not bad for my first attempt but prob going to change the background and I now need to make a lock screen.
I wrote this out once and then 4chan sucked more dicks than me.
R E M O V E L A B E L S

If the wall was a higher quality and the flowers fit in more I'd like it, but they don't so it's shit.

Rwby had good fights and music, sub-par on everything else.
Give advice how to salvage this. In particular I am looking for a good icon pack
I hate to be that one guy, but after seeing a few of the phone threads on /w/ and seeing all these god-tier setups, I wanted to join in, but...
Am I doing this right? After reading these guides, I made a few changes, but still not sure. Also, would someone mind explaining what the hell "ricing" is to me? I've been flashing ROMs and rooting for a while now, but I have no clue what "ricing" is.
On a side note, I know the icon color clashes a lot with the overall color of the wallpaper, but glass icons are god.
New rice coming through.
Left squares - Radio signal
Circle - battery.
Icons: Dark glyphs
Nova Launcher Pro + Zooper Pro + Media Utilities
If you read moon you could put your favorite citation of Saber I guess? You should also disable your middle icon (I forgot the name) and use something like a double-tap to bring up the list of apps. I think it would be neat because the white seems a bit 'heavy' compared to the icons or even the wallpaper.
I really like the asymmetry.
Thanks. Considering the quote, and since I don't have Nova Launcher Prime, gestures are disabled, so I replaced the home button to a clear version for now. Might look for an APK for paid version later.
Damn I forgot it was for the paid version only. It still looks good this way, although the wallpaper behind the icons make them look a bit strange in my opinion, which is why many people like to have some sort of uniform wallpaper or at least a dedicated little background for the apps like >>1873733 or >>1873652.
Minimalists usually try to do something on the lines of this.
It's been a while since I've posted in one of these threads, probably a year or so. So I guess it's time to give a little update.
It's certainly not the best I've done, but I think it'll work. I'm just not 100% sure what to do about icons, so SimpleRounds is just a stand-in until I decide.
Tried to recreate this with some modifications for my first rice. What do you guys think of the icons pack?
>look better with uniform icons
Yeah, I know. I just can't seem to find an icon pack that matches the wallpaper, and I'm a bit too lazy to bother making my own right now.
If you have any suggestions, I'll take them.
>Yeah, I know. I just can't seem to find an icon pack that matches the wallpaper
Yeah I think that, considering the very colorful wallpaper, finding just the right pack would be quite a difficult task. Your best bet is creating one yourself tailored for your needs, but yeah, I can understand the laziness.
Thanks for the clock, I didn't see. The catchphrase is just there for the asymmetry, I thought it looked good with the wallpaper. As for the icon pack I like them, what do you think is wrong them? The shadow thingy? Thanks for the reply.
Heya, creator of the original here. The clock is off centered, so be sure to fix that up. Since it is a little weird having the same phrase twice, maybe try a different line of hers? Like something with unlimited rule book, or something. The icons I actually like, not amazingly so, but I do like them.
Webm to see it in motion: https://u.pomf.is/wbwzmz.webm
Cute as fuck, clock being so spaced out is kinda odd and the super thin font really stands out. Might also wanna add a numeric temperature next to the weather icon.
>I wrote this out once and then 4chan sucked more dicks than me.
Has happened to many damn times to me as well. Hit backspace and the whole thing is gone. Kudos for typing it out again.
As for your rice, I'd personally change font. The difference between the two walls is also kinda jarring, maybe go for two of a similar style from him? I.e. fully colored, or sketchy, etc. since a fully rendered pic looks really noticeable next to a sketch.
Read the guide
Google is your friend. I'd keep a consistent icon layout: all text, or all icons. Also more organization in general.
Cute, very wintry. Only complaint is that the icons are pure black, which has really high contrast compared to the clock and music boxes.
Whipped this up last night. Thoughts?
Hide the notification bar before you post.
I'd like to figure out what kind of setup I want before organizing it. I'm all out of ideas. I have three screens right now, the third is dedicated to a music player.
Sometimes you just have to play with instead of try and plan it out. Try to look at the spaces on your screen. The top is completely empty and the bottom is cluttered. So, learning this, what should you do?
I really like that wallpaper so I tried something a little special. I will change the music player but I have bugs with Media Utilities (doesn't work properly with Zooper) so until I fix it'll have to do.
Looks good. Only thing is, of course, I made the wallpaper for a kind of pale design, and the dark black obviously clashes with that. I've never been a big widget guy, so if you can't get your media utilities to work, then I don't really know what to do. Also, I would suggest making the banner you made at the bottom be floating as opposed to stretching from one side of the screen to the next. Other than that, good.
Here you go bud
Sup people. Some may recognise this oldie from the past few threads ago, I'm still using it but would like to revamp a few parts. I wanna change the app section, tapping each section shows the apps list
This looks horrible, I want a synergy between the background (with best neko) and the apps. If possible I wanna try not to use icon packs because of the varieties not supported. Anyone have suggestions? BTW, the red command seal launches F/Go, a game the homescreen is based on. All inputs are welcome.
The top is where the info goes (time and date in the center, artist song duration to the right)
I like the clock thing with the battery at the top, that was quite nice.
Regarding suggestions I'm not so sure, maybe you could try to utilize the ring in some fancy way? I don't know how you would do to that, but otherwise I don't really know where else to put the apps.
Would you mind posting the background btw, that might make it easier to figure something out
Maybe you should move the weather thing a bit more upwards, It looks a bit cramped there at the bottom.
And I'm sorry if I'm just being stupid, but I can't figure out what you mean with "the artist and song duration to the right"
I'm going to take the weather out on the side screens anyway
Thanks. Guess I'll ruminate over this a bit more, here's the original background.
Read the guide
Not sure I understand, but I'd just make them the same grey as the text, it's fine that it's on a box or whatever.
Wasn't the anon who replied to you but
>I'd like to figure out what kind of setup I want before organizing it
I personally do rough sketches to figure out what goes where and whatnot, then try to do a mockup in photoshop and then start assembly on my phone. The anon who did reply to you gave good advice, if you're trying to fix/work on a current rice it can be very helpful to just play with it, sort it out as you go. Too much empty space? What could you put in it, what do you need? Music player? Weather? Clock? It's different for people (i.e. I didn't add a clock because I didn't need one, but some people might want one so they might add one). Just think a little. A surprising number of people in these threads seem to want a paint-by-numbers for ricing and it's just generally not that great a way to go at it. At its heart, a lot of this stuff plays on basic design principles. You don't really need to go take a design class or whatever (I certainly didn't) but actively putting effort and thought into your rice goes a long way.
I used the parameters they outline to make my own function, and added an extra line so that if the event was "all day" it said "all day". Just a bit of tweaking, not difficult at all. Certainly not too far from Zooper.
It isn't an icon pack! It's a text font, Material Icons. (link here: https://design.google.com/icons/) I just added a row of text and put in the most fitting icons for the apps there.
Here is the second version, MU is only partially working but whatever, I wanted to keep it simple anyway.
And here is a slightly modified version using the color of the shadow of the skirt.
I forgot to enable touch points, oh well.
Current one. Started using klwp. Any tips?
So guys I need your help. I just started on a rice, and to add some flair, I wanted to give some solid colors some "weathered" textures. Where do you get these that don't look stupid? I somewhat understand how to apply textures and patterns, but it never looks right when I do. Any help would be appreciated.
Search around for "weathered textures" or "grunge textures". Deviant art will have some but anywhere you look there will be a lot of junk one to sift through first. As for applying then find a tutorial and follow it. If something doesn't look right post the rice you have with the messed up weathered effect so we can see what it looks like and can offer better advice. If you also include a link to the texture you are using as well as your wallpaper (preferably the psd file) someone else might be able to help you apply it better.
A customized lockscreen IS in the guides. Although over the years the app it suggests seems to have been abandoned by the developers. The alternative lockscreen apps offer less customization but are still actively developed.
The icons in what I assume is a folder look really small and cramped (just part of the folders behavior) replacing them or masking them rather with a generic icon (can keep the text look) will get rid of the cramped feeling. Also is that top bar a widget or are you using some other launcher than apex/nova? It reminds me of I think it was buzz launcher.
Very pink. I'd suggest no text shadow, better icons, more spaced out header bar, maybe a different font. Also a better pic, personally don't think that's a very well-drawn one (sorry) but if you like it keep it, that's just my opinion. Nice concept though, like the color theme.
Besides what Timma said, that header bar matches nothing at all. Also
Keep it to one line, and the second e is an a ("messaging").
So I got UCCW and it's missing loads of objects.
I've seen youtube videos and everyone seems to have a lot, but I don't even have one for time or date or battery level or any of the things I want.
Is there something I'm missing?
Better for sure. Imho. Now if you'd like, suggest a picture for me to use fitting the theme.
Just better art, honestly. I'm on /w/ so of course I love animu as much as the next guy but there's well drawn animu out there, just search for it. Boorus are your friend.
I did a couple of mockups, this is one of them. Here's a psd with all of them: https://u.pomf.is/gclldp.psd
I love it but I can't open psd on my phone. Maybe fit it so it's got enough space to look like that. Since the pink bars are part of klwp. Not actually part of the picture. Pic here is original
Ayy I did some Pixlr and KLWP magic
The idea is good but it feels way too cramped in my opinion. Also, I think like you could've chosen a better wallpaper, I don't feel like it goes well with the rice, but that's more of a personal opinion.
Here's my theme I've been using for a while. Nice and simple. Pretty much ready to switch now though. I get bored fast.
Hey, its been a while.
Here is the Webm to see the animations.
Seems like you've figured it out? Sweet. I'd keep the text away from the edges a bit, maybe get a different font too if you can?
Sorry, I'm not that nice a guy. Open it on a desktop.
I remember this! Only complaint is the poor use of screen real estate, otherwise a very cool idea.
Great, only thing I'd add is text or something to help fill the bar on the right-most screen. Just "rain" looks really empty compared to the previous two screens.
Thanks, it changes depending on the weather so normally it looks more full as rain is the shortest one.
you little nigger this is mine i'm still making my rice making it look nice but here is my paper.
Heh sorry about that, I was following the vector thread and thought they would make for a good rice. Were you the one who originally requested them?
Those background look nice by the way.
I think i'll leave my background as is for now, I would have to change up my animations in KLWP to suit the different backgrounds. Thanks for the offer though! Good luck with your rice, looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
Anyone knows the Widget where it shows only the Title and Artist that the song is playing? Kinda like this.
Better, but honestly I think the battery looks really out of place. Also didn't notice before but I'd get icons without shadows.
+1, shuttle is great.
I am gonna assume that poster made it himself in Zooper/KLWP/UCCW/what have you. Honestly not that hard to do, given it's just two lines of text. I'd suggest just whipping up your own.
Don't know much about phones and stuff but was wondering if someone could make this 1440 x 2560 pixels. I have a LG G3 if that matters.
Thank You if someone can help!<3
What are you using? Zooper? KLWP? UCCW? If you don't know what those are, read the guide.
If you do know what you're using, google guides for it. There are also examples and syntax I think natively provided when you edit text, depending on what you're using. For example, in KLWP if you edit a line of text and scroll down to find Functions > mi(type) and press it, it'll display a list of all the functions you can use to display music info (for example, $mi(artist)$ gives you the current artist).
I don't use Zooper anymore but this might be a helpful link: https://www.reddit.com/r/androidthemes/comments/2ry2s2/help_zooper_and_media_utilities/
(inb4 >leddit, they clearly are more knowledgeable on the subject than you so just check it out)
Lastly, I've never used UCCW so I don't know what to do there, just google "UCCW music player" and see what comes up. There will probably be guides/tutorials somewhere.
5/10, looks nice but there's not much to rate, just a wall and a clock. I'd also vertically align the whole block of image + clock, it's too close to the bottom as of now in my opinion. Also would change the clock font. (I assume you're using gestures?)
I really like this. I know it's the new thing to have a really complex custom clock, but putting more effort into your background and just defaulting to the standard android notification bar is really convenient, from experience. 10/10, anon.
New year, new screens, I suppose. BTW, updating to Marshmallow was a mistake.
Made a few changes. Now looking for a black minimalist icon pack. May change the clock too.
I can't figure out what colors to use for this new project I'm starting. Could I get some suggestions?
Cute as fuck.
Way too much, tone it down a bit. Colorful icons on colorful bg = very difficult to see.
Better, would search for a new font. Good luck with finding an icon pack.
Pick colors from the image? There are color palette generators that work from images, too, if that helps. White also typically works with many things.
I ended up trying to go for a foggy look. Thoughts?
I'm probably gonna play around with the clocks opacity and shadow
Here we go guys worst rice of the year.
First try. tell me i'm a faggot and that it looks like shit but give some tips.
The icons are covering the wallpaper, the choice of color for the date/time script are bad and barely readable except maybe for the first one, same for the vertical text on the right, you have multiple screens but you don't take advantage of them, the difference in color between the different screen doesn't really look uniform (my opinion), you left the page indicator which doesn't look good and makes your wallpaper feel a bit 'heavy'. That's about it. I would delete the dock and put the apps in the right side of each wallpaper to make it lighter.
Apart from that, the wallpapers in themselves look good in my opinion, and I like the icon pack.
The wallpaper is beautiful, the rice is practical and the colors are really nice. I don't really like the icon pack though, I think it contrasts too strongly with various text scripts. That's just my personal opinion though.
The wallpaper is nice and the effect you're trying to get is great. I don't like the color of the text though. While I understand you want to make it look foggy, it just looks grey and opaque to me. I think the Chrome/Music typo is a bit big too, but that's merely personal.
Crap I forgot the screenshot. I made it in like 10 minutes but hey, it doesn't look that bad in my opinion, apart maybe from the clock (I think I could do better than this rectangle).
You might try the one I used in my Rei Rice just up there, it's called Flight (Lite). I think it would match the typo more while still being white. Perhaps you'd have to scale the apps down a little though. Other than that I'm not sure. I think that would suit it best, but I'd have to see it on your wallpaper to know exactly.
It's just an idea, but if you want to make it foggy, how about having more asymmetry? For instance you could stop aligning the text and put little spaces at the start of each line. That would make it more 'floating'. Not too much of course because that would just look plain bad.
Sorry, I didn't explain correctly what I meant by that. I like the rectangle form, but I think that the size and dimensions of it could be better. I thought of aligning the right side with the music player for instance.
Yeah that looks better, it felt sort of awkward before with the space that was there.
The fog on mine is progressing too. It's gonna take awhile to figure out the right settings though.
Like the other poster said, it's just grey right now, not very foggy. Maybe try having a slightly opaque white layer over the wall, and then erase it where you want icons/clock/etc? For example: https://u.pomf.is/wvavej.psd
Just download the psd and extract the pngs you want. Come on.
Agreed with the other anon, also move the bottom left text (weather) up a bit, and the bottom right (date) up a bit as well maybe? So that the left/right and bottom margins are equal.
Well I'm tired and gonna stop here for today.
I think it looks worse now layout wise, but i think i got the colors down.
Oh no i found it but thanks for the help.
maybe the wallpaper is too much. im not really using the other screens and the girls are too big to put in a now playing bar.
Be careful that your text scripts stay readable which is not really the case on your middle wallpaper. Also, do you really need that many applications? Do you want to keep the wallpaper? I'd suggest trying to familiarize yourself with the whatever widget app you're using (Zooper, KLWP, UCCW, etc) and with a simple background first. When you know how to do exactly what you want to do, you can try to create personalized widgets tailored to the needs of your wallpaper, like my clock in >>1875981 for instance.
thanks for all the help man.
No problems, I'm happy to help. This wallpaper is nice by the way. Do you have the pro version of Nova? If so I suggest using gestures, especially for the thingy that opens all apps. It doesn't really look good when you put it alongside other applications like that.
R8 h8 or masturb8 would be appreciated, something i threw together in klwp, like the final product but theres always room for improvement
Clean, i like the colors
Would change icon pack, if not something to match then maybe red and yellow or green to go with the show
Nice colors, and very nice usability, theres a lot there but it all servers a purpose
Nice wallpaper, clean, but i would show the status bar
Creative and rlly pleasing to look at
The flying videl is a gif that loops.
Here is the music player
Bottom tiles are super distracting, is that mid-animation or something? The circle also seems wildly out of place. I feel like personally you could utilize the center rectangle better as well, as the icons take up 25%~30% of the bar's total width, which seems like a waste in a sense (and makes it seem empty). It's a neat idea but it just needs refinement. Also, that status bar is awfully cluttered. I get that it's very convenient but just aesthetically it could stand to improve as well (or be hidden). So, for a rate: 6, maybe 7/10
3/10, massive empty space and random elements that make no sense (why that icon pack? What's with the random gif? etc.)
Very nice. Reminiscent of a klwp setup I saw somewhere else before actually, but still reallyneat. Especially nice work with the trackbar/music controls panel.
any tips for 1st rice? Still experimenting with different wallpapers and banners
Thanks! Kind of copied you a bit but I changed up a few things up in mine.
Do any ofyou guys know how to make scrolling text in KLWP, or any other widget maker?
I have lots of songs in my phone with titles too big to display in the screen, and it looks silly when some of it got cut.
I wasn't able to figure out scrolling text myself, but a good alternative I found was the $tc(ell, text, numChars)$ function that lets you cut off text at a specified number of characters and adds an ellipses at the end.
First attempt at ricing. How does it look?
I'm new to this but im pretty sure this is a joke
Any tips for me?
Good luck! I'm using Product Sans.
Nice on the part with the screen, everything else is kinda weak though.
>icons covering wallpaper
Slick as fuck animations, great job. I'd suggest slightly smaller icons, the ones now look kinda huge. Maybe get rid of the "Home" text as well.
I hope it is. The music control icons are kinda odd, and the icons are sort of hard to make out (also randomly placed, why are there only two...?). Music font (presumably that's what it is) is also out of place with the super thin clock font -- the music control icons are also way too thick, compared to the icons. Nice wall, though.
I really like the background and color scheme! Personally, I would bold the clock to make it stick out a bit more and move the icons down to make them look like they're on the wall, rather than just floating around.
just saw the volume up was ugly fixed it
Hey all, yesterday i tried to get a ROM on my phone, but i havent rooted it yet.
So i tried that, but i dont understand shit of how it works. I've tried reading some guides but i still dont understand shit.
I have a samsung galaxy s5 sm-g900f, it also says android version 5.0, but im not sure if thats the software version.
Also i don't know what ROM version i need to download, and can't really find a quick guide. I'm quite bussy with some shit so that's why i'm asking for help.
I'd just like to have a cool homescreen.
I really liked your rice, so i spent my entire day in photoshop and KLWC making a bootleg version of it.
Im not as good as you with colors, so i spent a long time trying to balance oul the overall colors, and it still looks off.
The guides aren't going to have any thing in detail on rooting or how to flash a custom rom. It will vary between devices and the guides are made as generic as they can be.
Normally you need to root before you can flash a rom. Use your phone model (sm-g900f) to find proper guides for your specific phone. Your OS version is android 5.0, your software version is going to listed elsewhere in the about phone section of your settings. The rom version you need will be specifically listed and linked too in a thread on XDA. Its not something that you can just "do quickly" unless you know exactly what you are doing.
>I'd just like to have a cool homescreen.
Rooting and even custom roms aren't necessary for that. They can help but you can easily recreate the look of many of these phones posted on the stock and unrooted rom your phone came with.
Are those page indicators? I think you'd do better to remove them. Also, better icons. Cute wall though.
Cute, would pick different fonts as those two don't go together well and the top clock font looks pretty bad for numbers (in my opinion). Also would add an icon on the other side for balance.
Better, still not a fan of those icons but that's personal discretion. I'd make them smaller so they're not so close to the edges of the box. >>1876775
iOS can be riced well. But >>1876774 is just lazy. >>1876821
Would also rec Shuttle. (Wasn't this asked already?)
Not him but not a bad clone, would just stay away from thin fonts given that the font is generally thicker. Also the oyasumi font and the other fonts don't go well together in my opinion. That weather icon doesn't work as well, make it one color (white, probably). Also, just my opinion but the icons in the bottommost bar kinda are too homogenous, so the sudden phone-shaped icon kinda stands out. Try to make them similar sizes so they don't look too off, but also make them variable enough (i.e. not a circle then another circle).
Reverse image search. I just tried it, and it works. Don't be lazy and ask to be spoonfed. It's just a click away, anon.
Absolutely everything. How the fuck do you click the icons at the top of the screen. The white icons dont fit at all. Font doesnt match at all and the battery indicator or whatever looks stupid. Harsh I know... Sorry anon...
Original please? No luck with reverse image search
Any help would be appreciated. Second rice though still working.
I don't like the color you used for the upper search bar, it feels out of place. Same for the icons, while the black isn't a bad idea, I feel like there are too many icons and it get a bit all over the place. But the main problem here is the music player. Why are you cutting off the wallpaper like that? It feels like someone just pasted the album cover out of nowhere. The text script color has a strange color too. A bit more uniformity would do you good, because right now it's really messy. Have you thought of creating another second wallpaperbpage with only your music player and stuff? That would really look better in my opinion.
I like echo lockscreen
I think this is the finalized version of this one for me. Anyone have any ideas of what could be added/changed?
I don't really find it aesthetic to be honest, it's more heavy than anything aside from the 'my phone is different than yours' aspect. I also think that the two spaces between the image and the rest should be of equal height to give a better harmony since you used a black background in both rectangles. The icon pack is really great though.
We're on marshmallow now. If your device/OEM is not shit then the upgrade is great. My Nexus has had surprisingly large performance tuning with the update. Also, the new security updates are great and I'm pretty sure they have not been offered to versions below 6.0
First time poster. Any ideas on how to make the music information look nicer?
>why the long face
Anyhow, a different font with a clearer distinction between artist and title might look better. If you've included album title, get rid of it, that shit's cramped as it is.
Lolipop is always trying to get Google to "verify my apps" whenever I install them. Banner notifications are shit. Noyze doesnt work. Widget locker doesnt work. YouTube background playback doesnt work on lots of devices and xposed is a hassle and very likely to brick your phone.
Im assuming all of these apply to marshmallow though my device only goes up to 5.1
>xposed is a hassle and very likely to brick your phone
Been using it for years now. I suppose that it's probably a lot shittier in terms of support for anything but Nexus devices though. Never had a problem with flashing or installing the framework
>Lolipop is always trying to get Google to "verify my apps"
your phone is a tracking device anyway so it's nothing new. Never had any problems running sideloads on lollipop or mm
>widget locker doesn't work
I wouldn't use that poorly written abandonware when actively developed Xposed modules exist
First time. Should I remove the clock?
First time doing this. Any advice/suggestions? (The picture of pitou is a gif)
