Post your vector requests and recently done vectors here.

READ THE OP BEFORE POSTING!
>Before requesting, here are some tips:
– Request an image ONCE per thread. Do not bump or second - once is enough.
– Check the lists below to see if your request has already been previously fulfilled.
– All requests are welcome, within reason, but remember:
– The poorer the quality of an image (in resolution and drawing ability), the less likely it will be picked up. The more detail seen and higher the resolution, the better.
– Full-body images preferred. Images cut off on 3 or more sides are very unlikely to be picked up due to their limited usage; keep this in mind when finding an image to request. (Hair or skirt edges that are barely cut off don't usually count)
– Requests for removing the background from an image (called a RENDER) and resizing requests should go to the IMT threads.
– Refrain from using renders for requests. Try to find the original non-rendered image; it is easier for vectorists to work with.
– Note: Overly complicated images are unlikely to be picked up due to their nature. IF your request is taken, please have patience.

There is a 300 post limit (before it begins to autosage) and a 150 image cap. It was over the 300 post limit, which put it in autosage mode, for at least 1 day before a new thread was made. This is why posts would no longer bring it to the front page, and it began to go to the 2nd and 3rd page and will continue to fall until it is deleted. The new thread was made because of that. This is literally how this thread has worked for years.
How new are you?
>a thread is somehow completely unusable after it autisages!
Fuck off until you understand how the board works.
There is no reason to make a new thread until either the image cap is reached or the thread expires.
Go tell that to the 6 other Phone threads currently on /w/ and the always remade Desktop threads (which never reach the image cap, by the way).
Seriously though, control your anger. You're wasting more space making this an issue than it has to be. Literally no one but yourself cares what you have to say.
>Go tell that to the 6 other Phone threads currently on /w/ and the always remade Desktop threads (which never reach the image cap, by the way
>if other people break the rules, we should too.
If you wanna start a separate thread for your contest that might be alright, but there's no reason to have two threads of this type up at the same time
So lets attack the one that has been the most consistent and has only ever made threads when the other has reached its bump limit? Does that seem reasonable to you? There is one other thread. It has been abandoned and people have been redirected to the new one. It will die regardless of how many times we post in it. People can now post in a new one that can be bumped to the first page, and they don't have to go digging farther and farther down as the days go by to find the old one.
The only reason the first rule is there is to prevent people from creating numerous threads of the same thing (ie: the numerous Phone wallpaper threads). I highly doubt creating one new thread because the other has now been autosaged is in violation of that. If a mod wants to let me know, feel free, but this has never been an issue for at least the 3 years I have been on this board, and specifically in this thread. So please, stop acting like you "understand how this board works". You clearly are new and attempting to enforce rules to make yourself feel regarded and needed. You aren't the first to try and do that on the internet.
With that being said, I'm done wasting my time on you. Here is an image I'm working on to keep this thread on track.
Here's a little higher resolution image.
Hey guys. I recently bought the official english Kizumonogatari book. I really love the art on the cover and wanted to make a poster out of it. I scanned the cover in hopes that one of you skilled folk could make a vector of it for me. It sure looks like a tough job, so thanks you in advance to anyone who takes it!
Full size scan: a.pomf.cat/qwelew.png
Sorry if the scan came out bad, I don't know much about scanning. I can re-scan it on request with different settings.
Requesting this please and thank you!
I don't mind most of it. The worst though is either redrawing or roses, because of the sheer amount of lines you need to do for each. It becomes tedious after a while.
But really - most things I do have flowers or frills, so I must be masochistic...
Quick question for the vector dread masters.
How do you guys do really good Archimedean spirals?
Having trouble d
*I would do each ;ine" on iys pwn, then merge them together.
Examples: fro, yjr lower spiral, I'd go from the inside of the "bulb" to the termination point ib the point.
I'd then do the other end of the bulb to the termination point, and make the arc smoother - it looks warped, there..
the lines for the "pole" would all be done as two separate lines all the way through and then snipped at intersections. .
Hope this helps...
Sorry - cat had been craling over my desk and distracted me. I should know better than to post before proofing when that happens...
BTW: Update ..
I know it's really small and not anime, but could somebody please render this for me? I would be super grateful and love you forever.
You stubborn fooker, here you go ;3
Large version(8333×16667): http://sta.sh/0m73ooaal42
Pretty sure this was vectored before, does someone have it?
Not sure if it was ever vectored before, but I've been wanting to do this one for years. Here you go.
Humbly requesting. Both if possible, but just Kuroneko (the one on the right) if both is too much.
Guys i think they have a competition going on right now so you are going to need to be extra patient. you can request again next thread. the hand full of people vectoring will get to you eventually. if they want to.
I think am almost done with ryouko - I think I just need to add more shading to her face and her left (our right) hand. IF anyone sees anything I missed, let me know and I'll ad that to the "to do" list
i'll give this request a shot again, according to the file date this pic is 5 years old. Scene is from my favorite episodes in the whole series. Kinda makes me wonder how long the "official" vector request threads have been around, since I'm positive I took this screen shot for one. Though I sorta remember a few random request threads before they became a constant.
And here's the last one.
All 3 girls and versions with black outlines in dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0rgk6fj3tob4z09/AACRAHhDe9Xm3QzCh7NFFtE7a?dl=0
Oops, wrong one, mb here it is
And here's a pape for it, if anyone wants ut
you know it in your heart to be your destiny.
when I mean marked off, I mean with a check but anyway. I just looked for anyway that would help with anti alias
I guess I fixed it, but it might still look shaggy and I dont think I can do anything else to it, welp:
dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/flm25usa7j1lxje/AAAGG1hbXdw6XUzdTW8Fpyjza?dl=0
Well, here it is, type optimized and anti aliased. If it still looks like crap, mb.
Okay, I don't know if you're familiar with vectors, but the vector files you linked contain nothing but linked images that don't work. Are you upscaling PNGs to 300 PPI? This is probably why the aliasing is poor, regardless of the setting you choose. Once exported as a PNG, it has become a raster, which is no longer infinitely scalable. You probably want to wait for Serukui to make a proper background with his original vector files in order to create it properly.
I think I am done. If I missed something, let me know.
Now, on to Marika...
ok. I lied. I forgot to unhide the face shading. THIS should be the final.
Requesting this again, only the girls and the couch is enough. Thanks.
Also I found this through Google so it should be a bit easier.
Requesting a better version of this, or any other Nemesis.
Hey, I'm rather new to vectoring could i get any advise on this please.
Requesting a render of this fine Oriental fellow, thanks /w/
Didn't have a lot of time to work on this today, and I'll be gone all day tomorrow, so don't expect anything until Saturday/Sunday.
Higher res but there might be a mistake or two
Update. I only managed to do a small part of the shading since I've also been working on my contest entry.
Requesting vector of pink girl with the white border
Any errors? If not, I'll upload better version
Any suggestions on what should I do with the skin/hair line on the right side of her face? Upper part should be hair lineart and the lower skin lineart, but I'm not sure how I should do it if I use different colors for them.
You could always graft the two together with a short gradient. The way I would do it is to duplicate the shape that goes up her face a few times, then cut in some new nodes where you want the gradient to go, deleting the excess above and below.
A quick and dirty example of how I'd do it. I think this will look a bit more realistic than a gradient, as the hair line eventually goes behind the skin, just as it would irl.
Better. Now if you feel a little bit more "game" for a challenge: change thew thicknesses of the lines for the jacket (thicker) hair (thinnest) and gloves (same as jacket)
Doing this would give a lot more depth to the image...
I'd be making the lines like this:
Chin line form the maccaroon to the first half of the "v"
The top half of the "v" would be in the thickness of the hair lines, and continues on from there.
Otherwise: Make ALL of those lines the skin thickness, (since the skin is the priority in how the seam works) and change the thickness with the bangs and rest of the hair with the thinner lines for the hair.
Final method: redo the hair lines by ADDING a line that works like a "fold" that the face line THEN goes under.
I haven't done it in this thread but I did in the last one. Sorry I'll keep that in mind. Also I was inspired to download GIMP photoshop because of the last guy who did such a terrible job of cleaning my pic. On the plus side anyone got anything really cute they just must have cleaned, I only am motivated to do very cute things?
>Also I was inspired to download GIMP photoshop because of the last guy who did such a terrible job of cleaning my pic. On the plus side anyone got anything really cute they just must have cleaned, I only am motivated to do very cute things?
For cleaning and/or rendering, I'd suggest going and helping them in the IMT threads...
Yeah, but usually you improve your art just by doing it.
Shad has drawn for I don't know how many years, and for instance in that drawing, she only has 2 segments on her fingers. And his ugly ass pillow shading is the same as always.
I don't get it.
Some people like it enough to pay and to be honest it looks like a style that's relatively quick to whip out and putting out some Wank material for random dudes on teh interwebz is probably not the art that he is putting the most effort into. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Can someone vector this logo for me?
I'd be really thankful
Requesting the girl w/ the shadow
Could I get this done, please?
i'd appreciate vector of this one, ignore the lens flare.
Can I request you to do the same thing to this?
Can some based anon turn this into a vector?
I've resized it as best as I could.
If you can get the original non-silhouetted versions at decent resolutions, then I can do it. The only way I could do it for the first set was by finding those characters at decent resolutions separately, and then combining them later. That way I will be able to get the finer details like the hands and microphones down.
So basically just the girl posing like that and non-silhouetted right?
Okay will try to find it later tonight.
This is the screencap from the anime so I thought that was enough to go on.
Yeah, something like what this website provides: http://schoolido.lu/idols/. I was able to visit each individual Idol page and get the non silhouette version at higher resolutions, allowing me to get the smaller details more accurately. If I were to try it from the resolution, I could get most of the basic shapes, but any smaller details like the fingers or some of the hair starts to meld together, and becomes difficult to get accurately. Normally I can reverse image search, but silhouettes are hit and miss in terms of Google finding the normal versions.
Yeah I think I have some of them posing like that for each idol lying around but I think one or two of it are from cards and they're like 640x800
But will do a search later when I get back home tonight
I know these images don't have much purpose, but I always wanted to do one like this. DA link has a higher resolution with a zipped file containing colored and black line versions.
So I made this. Do you notice any errors or possible improvements?
Also made this version which can't be posted here: https://a.pomf.cat/wzpwmy.png
There are a number of things to take into consideration.
For the sweat/water marks keep them clear in the inside (remove the gradient). For the marks on the skin, make sure the shadow is inside the water marks, as well as outside. You forgot to clip out some hair coloring above her right eye. For the eyes, use the circle tool, and don't cut the bottom or sides of the circle. Have the white of the eye simply go around it. For the side eyelashes, have the tips curve in a direction, instead of being flat. For the mouth, connect the coloring at the tips of the lineart. If you're doing this in Illustrator, you can use Smart Guides (Ctrl+U) to help snap nodes to others. None of your shadows on the towel should have lineart around them. Have the lineart only for the outline of the towel. For the nipples, keep them rounded like they are in the original, instead of square. For the highlights on top of them, blur them so they match with the blurred pink/red areola. Keep the line for the belly button and stomach fold separate, like they are in the original. Keep the tips thin as well.
Many of your lines are too lumpy. Start each fill with the least amount of nodes. Only place nodes at the endpoints and any major curves. Make sure all nodes and handles are kept parallel. Play with handles to see how much they can fulfill a given area. Place nodes in between, if needed. You also lack curvature at the tips and endpoints of many of the lines, especially some of the hair. Use the handles at the tips more, and always be curving them in a certain direction. You also want the tips to be the thinnest, with it gradually increasing towards the middle, and either maintaining thickness to a two node endpoint, or reducing to a single node endpoint.
The lower lines, including the lines for the butt/legs and the pussy seem to differ from the original, and lack some detail. This is the original I was using: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/4898133.
Thanks for the help.
>For the eyes, use the circle tool, and don't cut the bottom or sides of the circle. Have the white of the eye simply go around it.
How do you mean that? Should she have sanpaku?
>For the nipples, keep them rounded like they are in the original, instead of square.
I didn't really like the other nipple shapes I tried to make which where more like the original. The nipples shouldn't be too large or prominent in that picture. I don't know if and how I could improve that.
>The lower lines, including the lines for the butt/legs and the pussy seem to differ from the original
I used https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/4901307 as reference. And I intentionally changed the hips and the butt a bit. Both originals have missed to get her butt and upper leg right in my opinion. I tried to fix that, I don't really have drawing skills though.
>How do you mean that? Should she have sanpaku?
Yes. You can see in the original that white is under the eyes for both of them. Some anime art has it to where there is a bottom eyefold, and some do not. This one does not. If you cut the lineart, it looks more like an error than some sort of style.
>I didn't really like the other nipple shapes I tried to make which where more like the original. The nipples shouldn't be too large or prominent in that picture. I don't know if and how I could improve that.
Just keep them rounded. You don't want the nipples to be blocky. You want them to be smooth and circular, so less nodes and more handles. I don't find the nipples large in the image, but that's just me.
>I used https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/4901307 as reference. And I intentionally changed the hips and the butt a bit. Both originals have missed to get her butt and upper leg right in my opinion. I tried to fix that, I don't really have drawing skills though.
It wasn't really the hip that was the issue. The image that I was using had a butt fang that was lacking in yours, so I figured we had slightly different originals. The pussy lines you have still lack some detail from your original, so try to curve the tips and the endpoints so it doesn't look flat. For future reference, post a link to the original you were using, especially for screencaps, since images taken frames apart can look slightly different.
So I started this today, just to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten about it. I think everyone else is finished and waiting on me. I'll try to get it done as quickly as school will allow me.
For now, I'm coloring it as I'd like it to be colored. After I'm done I'll recolor to be more consistent with everyone else. And I'll do colored lines if that's what we're doing.
I'm not sure what exactly you meant with the markings on the elbows.
Also I left the outlines of the hair the way they were, because I think they look fine. Is there a reason why they need to be changed?
Anyway, if there is more to change, please say so.
The hair lacks curvature at the V tips. You need to curve the tips of the nodes more so that you give emphasis at those areas. Those tips should always be curving in a certain direction and not be flat like they were in those specified areas, especially on the bottom left portion. This is incredibly important when it comes to making good hair, so I would not ignore that concept.
The elbows are too flat as well. Elbows are hard objects, but you still need to give the nodes some breathing room. Extend the handles more so that you allow that part to round more, instead of being square how you had it before.
has this been forgotten? some anon said he would do it about 4 threads ago
THIS IS A RENDER.
This is NOT a vector.
You can only make vectors using a vector program like illustrator or inkscape.
P.S. The "try" sucked. Go to the IMT thread to learn how to better render.
poor anon didn't get what he wanted today, boohoo
sorry that this isn't anime related but I've no idea where else I can go to with this request.
could someone make a vector of the one on the right?
the lines don't have to be as thick as on the image.
if someone could do it I would be really greatfull!!!
What I use. I don't go for all the toys - just enough to do the basics...
Here is mine, kinda like derpy's but with a large space for layers.
I was torn when I initially set it up on having two columns of tools, but opted for the one, so I can remote into my machines with a limited windowed aspect ratio and still work efficiently by having more area for the actual art. I also like to group my color schemas together so I can either use the tabs for where I need to go, when I need to go to them.
Last year I requested this and two anons said they might work on it. Did that ever come to pass or did I turn out to be unlucky after all? Looking through the archive I didn't see anything.
Random appearance, swear I've so little free time atm >.> This is mine, hopefully going back to doing some vectors soon..
Original image just in case this is easier to work with. Thanks in advance!
Pretty standard workspace. Also some progress.
To append to what JPGC said: even if the renderer knows what they are doing and keeps more content than others, there is still some loss, due to feathering and opacity changes. It doesn't affect the end result too much if they are good, but that's the problem: Most renders are not done properly, or clip something THEY think isn't needed. Giving the original source allows the vector artists to make that determination for themselves, which prevents the "photocopy resolution loss" effect.
renders can mess with the lines on the characters.
renders cut the characters/object out of the background doing this can curve lines on the /object making parts look misshapen or just all around wrong.
Update. Minor fixes and more curved hair tips.
Nude version: https://a.pomf.cat/xnzluj.png
How did I miss that. Thanks for letting me know.
>come to vector thread for the first time
>somebody requests an anime girl vector
>decide to give it a try
>work on it on my free time at work so only 30m-1h a day
>it's been a week and a half of seeing this anime girl's face every day
>start to develop feelings
such is the life of a virgin.
Seriously, it's not that hard, go on Tinder and say, hey I'm an overweight nerd that is still a virgin at 30 and someone one will probably respond if you are up front about it.
Or just ask a girl you like out. Seriously the worst that happens is they say no and then there is no more hand wringing. Then go on Tinder.
Chances are: if the fetish exists on 4chan, it exists in real life, too.
I meant the midgets for YOU if you were concerned about being short. Again: reference the fetish comment above.
Bit of a stretch, but can I get this vectored? Just Darjeeling would be grand, but both her and Pekoe would be even better...I realize that it would require a lot of work, so I know I don't stand much of a chance, but yeah...
anyone willing to vector this?
Redo the lineart and end all fills not going into other objects as a single node with indpendent handles. Keep your thickness consistent by making sure all nodes and handles are parallel at all times. Pick thicknesses for areas such as hair, clothes, skin etc. and match those thicknesses for each area.
>Keep your thickness consistent
huh but irregular thickness is part of the manga/anime style. I actually traced the lines themselves this time instead of just relying on the bezier stroke just to have irregular lines.
>Redo the lineart and end all fills not going into other objects as a single node with indpendent handles.
Sorry my english/domain knowledge is failing me, I've no idea what you mean by that.
When you make a vector, irregular lineart is far more visible at higher resolutions. You need to keep it smooth and consistent or else it will look messy. You still want varying thicknesses, which is why I mentioned picking thicknesses for separate parts of an image.
Make everything circled in red to what is circled in blue.
>huh but irregular thickness is part of the manga/anime style.
Along with what JPGC mentioned, the biggest problem with tracing exactly, is that the lines you get form pens, etc. on cels is blockish, which looks really, REALLY bad as a vector. using points like he showed you >>1881112
will crisp up the image, as well as making the lineart a lot more even.
Until you can get to the level of daul or JPGC, I recoommend avoiding uneven lines without learning the practicalities of WHEN and HOW they can be used....
