Set an exclusion if you want to remove it for one specific window or just disable the bbleanskin.

Try googling the error, from the first line"wmic command not found".

Question one "What is wmic?"
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/wmic.mspx?mfr=true

Question two "Why can it not find the wmic command?"
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000549.htm#1

Question three "Attempt to index a nil value?"

I'd wager line 179 of cmdfetch.lua points to the use of explorer. The script cannot index or find the value because wmic is not pathed to properly in your system enviroment table, or does not exist. Once the script is able to use wmic, it will be able to index the value (probably in relation to your visual style).

Also make sure you have the latest version off of github for good measure.

I can offer you an older version without the meters on my github (xDemonessx/dotfiles)

Things are all over the place, put them in one place. You can also put those in that big taskbar. If you can't reduce those at least get rid of the rounded corners.

I did it for Windows 8 before, should be fine on 8.1.

Ricing on 8/8.1 is not that different from Windows 7; the visual styles are different, sure, but there's a style builder for it. bbLean is the same. If bbLean is installed as a shell, the Metro UI won't start, making you unable to change a few settings that rely on it, such as connecting to a different wifi access point or changing into plane mode or whatever.

Make a Firefox CSS theme like mine. Apply it to Firefox/(your selected fork).
Make an AIMP3 skin like mine. Apply it.
Install bbLean and make a theme like mine. Apply it.
Install MacType, select the built-in LCD profile. Apply it.
Install HexChat, change colors in the gtkrc file on xDemonessx's git. Apply it.

I think that's pretty much it. Up to you whether or not you'll use AIMP3 or my visual style, which is not shown in my screenshots because I style everything but Pale Moon with bbLeanSkin.

My bad, only now have I understood what you said.

The "brief guide" remains the same. Ricing on Windows is pretty much Visual Style Editing /+ bbLean /+ Firefox CSS /+ font rendering /+ Rainmeter [etc]. Mine's just Visual Style Editing + bbLean + Firefox CSS + AIMP3 + HexChat + Explorer tweaking...

Okay, I realize now it seems like a lot, but it's pretty simple once you get to it, patiently, of course.

I'm patched, currently using Case theme. I know how to change the library icons, I'd just like to get rid of the ugly black bar where the search function was, and the title bar if possible. Something to go with the foobar theme I have below. FAQ's and google haven't done much to help me.

How does one install a Steam skin? I'm trying to install Deshou's right now. I replace all the files in the Steam directory, but when I start up Steam, it updates and presumably restores the new files to the original ones. So I guess what I'm asking is how do I prevent it from doing that?
>>
>>1742345
You shouldn't have to replace any files. The new skin folders go into Steam\skins. From there you should be able to go in Steam -> Settings -> Interface and select the skin from a dropdown menu. Google has plenty of guide as well.

Sorry, I don't know the artist or origin of it.

>>1742348
Oh I'm retarded. I don't know why I assumed I had to replace everything. Thanks.

There's nothing to customise on OSX... right?

Anyone using bblean knows why sometimes the right-click menu on tasks doesn't work/seems disabled?

For instance, right-clicking Firefox shows this menu, but right-clicking AIMP does nothing. There are some other tasks that do this but I haven't found out why yet. It's pretty infuriating when you just want to close a task without having to reach for the keyboard.

What visual style are you using? I'm having issues finding a nice transparent-ish visual style for 8.1

Anyone know how to get rid of the borders around my Firefox and the black rectangle in the upper right? I tried removing the buttons in the corner, but this doesn't look any better.

Ignore everything else, I've barely started doing anything.

Is there a way to get large taskbar icons on Windows, but keep remove the date from the taskbar clock? I really just want the time instead of the whole date.
