That's all I got.
Has anybody here watched the Final Fantasy OVA ("Legend of the Crystals" in English) since playing FFV? When I saw it as kid, I hadn't had the experience of playing V, which it was loosely based on, so I don't know if that lack of knowledge affected my impression of it.
I didn't like it much, and I knew few people who did, but in the intervening years V has come to be one of my favorite FFs, so I feel like I might owe the anime a second chance.
Falcon gakuen was good, even showed reference of a enemy exclusive of master sytem version and a joke with Ameercan cover of YIII. I expected references of Pop full mail.
Also the promotional video of Pop full mail
The singer of Sega Rally singed in VF anime:
The Tower of Druaga anime is fairly underrated given how incredibly hilarious it is for a 2000's anime. Well worth the watch.
This hsow basead on that ps2 Nightmare of Druaga?
Also theres Tekken movie (non live action)
The movies are better, with a tighter pacing, cool costumes and funny characters, but the anime is quite decent too.

I loved the Megami Tensei ova because it was a weird trip.
Actually really like the scene where the class gangs up on the heroine. Really good color direction there.
The part where
the possessed girl bites bully girlfriend in the pussy to deathis still hilarious to me because it's so silly. Also every time this song plays https://youtu.be/-boUQ5BfNT4?list=PL3712BF6E492306D4&t=56
You could just google "iria game" and get an instant answer. The most well-known game is Hyper Iria on the SFC, but there is also a beat'em up on the PSX.
He's asking specifically for vidya adaptations based on old games. And no, most of them are most definitely not awesome. At least in the generally accepted meaning of the term as "really good".

There are good comedies from every decade you degenerate, what the fuck does this even mean
not suer if it counts 100% as retro, and its not an anime but...
theres the Nekketsu kouha Kunio-kun TV series.
it was made in 2011-2012 to promote the second kunio 3ds game, SP rantou kyousoukyoku, rather than the entire series.
A lot of 80s pop culture references, specially in chapter 2, also, how is it possible that a live action TV series about a 80s arcade game, is more cartoony that the game OR the remake that inspired it?.
if you want to watch it, just search "Viki Renegade Episode XX" there are 17 episodes, all subbed.
