What's the best sports game for people who don't care

Punch-Out is my pick. I don't care for boxing at all but it's very fun.

Generally those that involve power level and special attacks, as well as changing or straight out removing the rules. Captain Tsubasa series (or Tecmo Soccer) is a good example.

Ice Hockey NES is great fun with two players. Its a pretty simple but the controls are real fluid and you can customize your team with three different weight classes.

How does that one hold up against Blades of Steel?

I've always loved Blades of Steel for its casual/"stick hockey" sort of feel. The shootout and fighting mechanics make for hilarious multiplayer as well.

I will be honest I never played Blades of Steel, I probably should though since its a cheap quality title. From watching a a quick video of BoS I would say Ice Hockey has a faster pace (when set to max speed) and is more "slippery" in a controlled way.

Yes, it was meant to be released in the US as Crash n' the Boys: Ice Hockey challenge but was canceled.

There's patches available, but I played it years ago but it's not really necessary... and I can't read any moon.
