What are you busy playing right now /vr/?
I've been playing Power Drift. Boy it's hard. I can ace every Out Run route but this thing is kicking my ass. Damn fun though. And incredibly impressive from a technical stand point for its time. And it goes without saying that the music is fantastic.
You?
Near the end of FFIV, my first FF, atleast I think it is almost the end, finished the Giant of Babil. All in all it was a pretty fun experience, somewhat easy, but stuff like the 3 behemoths fights in a row were pretty hard

Super Metroid. I played it for the first time about 6 years ago but didn't finish it. At the time I thought it was pretty overrated. Now I'm playing it again, on a SNES this time instead of the VC, and I'm absolutely loving it. I'm at Ridley right now, but he keeps kicking my ass...
I've been playing another Super Scaler classic actually, wish M2 had ported Power Drift as part of this collection too. The Outrun release is hot garbage btw.

That cover remind me so much of Street Racer.
Right now I'm (re)playing Countdown Vampires, which I have never beat. I'm having a "RE clone" trip since that /vr/ thread, and Countdown Vampires is proving to be a really solid game so far, at least gameplay wise.

There is no "for its time". Games don't age. It's either impressive or it's not.

>There is no "for its time"
But it's sometimes hard to judge why the game is called great without cultural context she was existed in.

Wrong.

I was playing that a long time ago, I stopped before ridley because I couldn't find him but refused to consult a guide. Mayhaps I should go back and finish the game.
