Is there a point in collected retro games if they're just gonna rot anyways?
>>4183091
There is no point in living, you're going to rot anyways and one day the universe will end.
lol^
>>4183108
>and one day the universe will end.
umm no sweetie that's wrong
Retro gaming?
>>4182009
A CRT monitor?
Gaming huh?
>>4182025
Monitor, huh?
>>4182009
>>4182025
I don't give a fuck about your retro gaming or CRT monitor-
whoops, wrong Snake.
What is the appeal of belt scrollers? They are actually quite boring and simple.
>>4181518
no idea, but they paved the way for god hand, the greatest jab & jog of all time, so they're cool in that regard
I dunno, I thought Animaniacs was fun. Finding all scripts offers replayability, also since the game is non-linear it makes several playtrhoughs more enjoyable.
>>4181518
The best beat-'em-ups are actually pretty dynamic. Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara, Sengoku 3, Golden Axe Legend... Then there's the really intense ones like Alien vs Predator that overwhelm you with enemies.
I'll never understand why Streets of Rage 2 and, like, Final Fight are considered the peak of beat-'em-ups. Probably because the actual best ones almost never left the arcades (some of them didn't even leave Japan).

Dude, let it go, the game isn't going to come out.

Shhh, let him dream, like the rest of us.

Remember when that anon said his rich friend had the Mother 64 proto and that he was going to break into his friend's heavily guarded mansion to steal it from a safe while his friend was inebriated?
That was a stupid thread
>too big
>no select button
>only four frontal buttons
>ONLY ONE ANALOGUE STICK WHEN DUAL SHOCK WAS ALREADY A STANDARD
>cable is downside
>VMU literally useless because battery
WHAT-WHERE-THEY-THINKING
>dual stick was already a standard.
No it wasn't. Nearly the entire library of PS1 games didn't even use the second stick.
Besides DC had keyboard and mouse support for FPS.
>>4181184
>too big
>implying it needed one
>it was enough
>might fell akward on this controller
>atleast it isn't too short
>mine still work

San Francisco RUSH
>he dream for having the worst portable
>not a superior PC Engine
>not a Gamegear
>not a Lynx
If you were a kid back then you'd understand that game boy was the only portable console that was talked about around school. So of course he would dream about what he could talk to his friends about.
Nintendo marketing was huge.
>PC Engine
decent games, absolute dogshit battery life
>Game Gear
see above
>Lynx
see above, but minus "decent games"
Game Boy was really the only good handheld because it had a battery life longer than 2 hours and had the most games by far

Running a couple of these bad boys (gscartsw). Best I've ever used.

Whats the best cheap scart selector?
hnnnnnnngnggg
Streets of Rage 2 > Final Fight 3 > Bare Knuckle 3 > Final Fight (Arcade) > Streets of Rage 3 > Final Fight 2 > Streets of Rage > Final Fight (SNES)

Hi anon, please book an appointment with your local psychiatrist soon!
How autistic do you have to be to think this isn't a good game?
I think it's pretty good but i prefer almost all other castlevanias except for the 3d ones and game boy ones.
>>4180501
>stupid mode 7 gimmicks
>easy bosses
>easy gameplay
>ugly aesthetics
>mostly boring soundtrack
>quantity over quality stages
I give it a 3/10.
>>4180501
it's the easiest castlevania game ever made making it therefore the favorite of normalfags and casuals everywhere. it's not bad, just embarrassingly easy. pic related is supreme castlevania goodness

Hey everyone, sure i'm a little late to jump on the bandwagon, but i'm getting a wii next week and my crt is ready.
Clearly the most important task will be NES/SNES emulation and N64. Other than that i will emulate some mega CD and Saturn.
Playing NES/SNES games with the classic controller seems for me pretty spot on.
For the other systems, there are a couple of 3 in 1 adapters thats would fit perfectly. With the N64 controller and the Saturn contoller (for megaCD and Saturn) in combination with the classic controller there would be everything i want. But they theme to be shitty and doesnt work well. Is raphnet then my only option?
Wich controllers are you using for the other systems?
And what is your current setup?
Are you using the wii mainly for NES/SNES emulation, or do you have systems running like VCS2600, PC Engine and GameBoy?
The Wii can play anything Fourth generation and earlier pretty well and is super easy to set up and connect to a CRT if that's what you're after.
It's probably the best for convenience but N64 is pretty poor on there. You can't emulate it well but if you stick to the Virtual Console games they're a limited selection but spot on.
>>4179189
Use nintendont and play gamecube games if youre an accuracy fag like me
>>4179189
I have the Wii looping through my PVM via component and on into my 60" plasma. I often use it as an easy way to fire up a particular classic game to show it to my wife or son without needing to spend time hooking the console up and for that I usually use the classic controller or just the Wiimote sideways. The wireless controller delay is noticeable to me though and on top of the HD delay it's pretty unplayable though I did figure out how to get the plasma into "game mode" and haven't tried it since then. If I were playing a game seriously I would probably use real hardware but I do have GC to Atari/NES/MD/SNES/N64/PS adapters.
The biggest way that I personally use my Wii+CRT setup is to play exclusives on retro computers I don't own with my mechanical keyboard via a PS/2 to USB adapter. Works fine.
Never seen anyone ever buying these in a multiplayer game
I know they wreck the shit outta zerglings so what gives?
firebat rush is extremely unpleasant when you are on the receiving end
>>4178792
I only used them in bunkers so if anything got past the marines they git fried but I also sucked at multiple-player so what do I know :^)
Firebats are the only Terran unit not hurt by dark swarms
Some dumb fuck intern leaked some art it seems. New Mega Man game confirmed?
>>4178647
looks like MN9
>>4178659
Not seeing it. Looks more like Duo's arm.
>>4178647
Looks like that EXE shit that killed Megaman.
why is it so hard to play saturn games now? The consoles and games are hard to find and expensive as hell. Yet the emulation scene is still awful.
>>4177283
no support and probably no documentation just as eggsbox
>>4177283
Unless you want something like bsnes tier accurate, emulation has been perfectly fine for years.
>>4177283
This is like saying "Why is it so hard to find parts for Edsel Packards?"
why is there such an emphasis on passing down the "touch" of retro gaming to younger generations? almost every normalfag/e-celeb I see talks about how much it warms their heart to see young children playing their games. it's just like the new star wars movies
>>4177169
The kids would rather play smartphone games, believe me

I haven't played a whole ton of pinball video games but I want to. I remember liking NES Pinball a lot because it had that great Nintendo charm.
What are your favorite retro pinball games?
>>4176309
Space Cadet because I'd compete against my dad, and GBC Pokemon Pinball, because holy shit that game is fun. My friend had Revenge of the Gators, which is aight too.
Also, never played this one, but what thread would be complete w/ohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UimIrTjuvfE
I remember Intellivision Pinball being really enjoyable.
>>4176335
The story in the image is really funny.
I actually went to my local retro game store last month and picked Kirby's Pinball Land. It didn't work. Tried to make it work 50 times. Had to return it. They apologized that it didn't work. Apparently the pins were rusted or something. They have a guarantee that all their games work but I guess that didn't apply that day. Sigh...
