Do NOT mind me....Just the best game ever coming through
>>3750819
I disagree, it's a very good game, but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever.
>>3750824
Donkey Kong sucks.
>>3750825
You know something? YOU SUCK
Good literature about SEGA that isn't just limited to the Genesis? Looking for stuff about Saturn and Dreamcast.
>>3750750
It doesn't exist

Damn there really seems to be nothing in English.
This thing is great, kind of sad that normies don't know about it
>kind of sad that normies don't know about it
Maybe because you don't speak Japanese and don't live in Japan?
>>3750378
>disk swapping
>load times
It's garbage.
>>3750378
>kind of sad that normies don't know about it
Why? You want the prices to go up?
Why would you want to draw those people deeper into the hobby?
They don't even play games, they just buy them to post photos on Faecesbook and do lifestyle signaling.
>Totally Retro!
>Like if you were a 90s kid.
>I'm such a Nerd lol!

I want over-socialized normie supremacists to leave.
Did anyone here manage to finish this game?
It's fucking impossible
>>3749968
>It's fucking impossible

>>3749968
The trick is to avoid leveling as much as possible.
>>3749993
why is that? Does the enemy scale with you?
Do plasma TV's have the motion blur and crosstalk that LCD/LED TVs have?
Assume that I was playing a fast SNES game at 60hz, would there be blur/crosstalk?
Have you had any experience with plasma TVs and retro games?
>>3749610
Yes, it's scaling the signal that creates the problems.
>>3749610
I use mine for emulators, since mine has no input lag.
>>3749684
So there's no situation where it would have clear motion?
Everyday I grow closer to learning Japanese just so I can play this game, and some of the other games made by workers from Love-De-Lic. [spoilers]Such as Endonesia, Giftpia, and Captain Rainbow[/spoiler]
Even as I speak, there's some guy sitting on an almost finished translation patch for this game and he won't even release that.
Endonesia is a particularity interesting game that i would like to play the most actually. Since the whole premise is about awakening 50 gods and using feelings and emotions such as Sadness, Hunger, Pain, and Laughter; while also including a bit of a survival system.
>>3749545
Its good?
>>3749545
Hmm
So what's with the lack of PC Engine CD fan translations? There's a huge catalogue of Japanese-only games on there, I'm surprised not all that many groups have tried their hand at it. Especially when you consider the best version of certain games (such as Snatcher) were released on this system.
Their lazy/stupidness keeps them from releasing
>>3749559
Why don't you stop being a lazy, stupid bastard and do them yourself, then?
>>3749562
Because I don't know japanese, buddy
What the fuck was the point of this? Is Konami trying to insult me? The Drac fight is so easy that it's not even necessary. Should just rename the game to Super Casualvania 4 with all the foods the game gives you.
Fuck off, Australia-kun. Super Castlevania IV is the best classicvania by far and the most challenging. Go play your 50hz abomination called "New Generation" and hang yourself with a Genesis controller.
Is this the one where you can whip in any direction and the chain moves with your motions?
Loving that cloudy background.

Did they try to emulate an arcade feel with this game when considering the ui visuals and soundtrack? Was this game made at a time when arcades were dying? Why did they never release an american version? Sin & Punishment is actually pretty fun and the controller works well with the gameplay. I don't have much exposure to arcade games so I can't say if it's worthy of it being in the arcades. But, I am wondering if an arcade version of this what do you think should be changed?
Uh dude, Treasure mostly made arcade style games. Have you never played any of their other stuff like Ikaruga or Gunstar Heroes?
>Was this game made at a time when arcades were dying?
>2000
Yes, unless you consider Cabela's Big Game Hunter or Golden Tee Golf the pinnacle of the arcade experience.
>>3749127
I have played Gunstar Heroes for a bit, and in my mind it's a console game.
What are some good retro grand strategy games? How many even exist?
>>3748961
>90% chance of crushing the rebellion
>it fails 4 times in a row
>ruler dies
>more 4 rebellions pop up
>>3748961
Nobunaga's Ambition has been around for a while.
Genghis Khan II is still the best in my opinion.
I'm currently playing it OP. Will play Gemfire next.
>WRPG: story is sacrificed for the bloated gameplay
>JRPG: gameplay is sacrificed for the bloated story
Is there any series that takes the best from both worlds? Dramatic story with character relations, freedom of exploration with engaging gameplay?

A SaGa game with good story? If there is any
Shin Megami Tensei
Was the Virtual Boy actually a bad console or were consumers just plebs?
>>3748650
It was pretty inconvenient and strained people's eyes. Is op a contrarian or is he just being a faggot? I think both.
>>3748656
The games were pretty good.
>>3748650
look into one for 5 minutes and you'll understand why it sucks
What could have went better?
Collectors and tryhard hipsters not jumping into the bandwagon as hard as they did.
Better development tools.
A less bizarre ad campaign.
Launching on the actual planned release date in U.S. and Europe, instead of the surprise early launch.
Not be made by a shit tier company whose main market is autists.
Not let Japan make all the decision for NA after the American side proved they knew the market better.
A real Sanic game to get those sweet Mr. Autismo dollars.
Don't make it so hard to program for.
Don't do a surprise early launch and not warn retailers and 3rd parties.
Don't cancel the Genesis so early, thereby pissing off loyal customers. Also, don't make terrible Genesis add-ons like the Sega-CD and 32x.
Match the price of the Playstation.
Don't leave most of the good games in Japan.
Which would be the better experience, trying to beat all NES games or all SNES games?
What would be the better experience?
Eating Cyanide or rat poison?
SNES might make you want to kill yourself a tad bit less. Nintendo hard will make your life a living hell.
