Are there any retro video games that are set in Ancient Greece?
Other than... Kid Icarus I can't really think of anything.
Maybe there are some old PC games, but I'm thinking more console wise I guess.
BAM. You're welcome.

Altered Beast.
Rygar, And though it's not retro you would probably really appreciate the PS2 Rygar as well which is Greco-Roman as fuck.
This is the Amiga 500, one of the best computer ever made, with many great games, why /vr/ don't talk about him?
>>3763308
because /vr/ is mostly amerifats who only know nes/snes and consoletards
The reality is that Amiga is mostly memorable for its audio/video editing capabilities, not so much for its games.
Maybe 4chan needs a retro/g/ board.
>>3763308
Because Amiga's really only nostalgic for Euros. Amiga always struggled to break into the mainstream in the USA. Growing up, I had a Vic 20 first, then an IBM PC. I'd never even heard of Amiga until much later in life, and by that time, it was irrelevant.
favorite classic bomberman game?
Bomberman Quest

The 64 games.
Only Bombermen I've played are the one that came hidden on the TurboDuo pack-in disc, and the Saturn one.

I've been playing Shadow Man recently.
So far it's not bad, but the first gun is weak as shit, so I've been progressing kinda slow.
Other than that, I'd recommend it!
Resident Evil 2

>Shadow Man
Stick with it. This game has the greatest joke ever, right before the final boss.
>read up guide on how to beat this guy
>when he is about to do his super omega ultimate fuck you attack and starts flying of the platform, you are supposed to just hit him with any weapon with long range
>that's supposed to stop him from doing his super omega ultimate fuck you attack
>fight him
>he starts his attack
>switch to newly assembled crossbow
>immediately attacks me with his super omega ultimate fuck you attack
>no shield
>ded
Alright, I don't get it.
>>3778875
You can try that method but you need to catch him up first.
When the camera switches to the above sight Gil will fly very fast in the mid of the seal, if you are fast enough to open up your attack sphere you might be able to catch him, needless to say you still need enough stats to actually make your attacks connect.
It's an unpractical way to kill him though, it's best to just let him blow his load on you and simply counter with Absorb Damage, you literally can't die that way, no matter how much he tries to spam that.
Actually you might even heal any damage he did to you for free, which is good since the more he damages you with spells the more your Raging Ache hurts him during the normal battle phase.
Anyway, don't read guides, they're for plebs.
>>3778908
So this was a bad idea, back to simply tanking him I guess. This attack is the only thing that worries me, everything else is pretty manageable and I saved almost every healing item for this fight. Was kinda shocked to see the damage I do with my trusted hammer, after the bosses in the cathredal were complete cake walks.
If there is nothing to talk about this guy, then general Vagrant Story thread maybe? Let's set the mood:

Gil has a lot of stats on his side, on a fresh file it's almost impossible to deal any significant damage on the second form even by buffing yourself, Raging Ache is your best friend here.
>If there is nothing to talk about this guy
I liked Guildenstern as a character, I think he's easily Matsuno's best villain, he's also pretty sexy for a dude with a skirt, no homo.
Would it have been a disaster? Yes.
Would it have sunk Nintendo? Maybe.
Do I care? No.
>ywn get a beefed-up N64 with expanded versions of the best games...
>>3778552
I wanted this so bad when it was announced.
Nah fuck the disc drive. It never needed that shit. The games on 64 were fantastic and still great today. There was truly no need for this.
If you wanted discs you bought PS1. I liked the variety that N64 and PS1 had to offer.
Koizumi revealed in Iwata Asks that this would have been a disaster. CD's were too slow. Out of Link's 200 - 300 animations, a CD could only process about 60 of them or something like that. So he was relieved when Ocarina of Time was canceled for it and redesigned as a cartridge-only exclusive.
That's actually why I like Nintendo games. They're like the early Paramount or Disney of vidya. In my opinion Sony games and third-parties like Capcom who went to them during the 3D era have this janky look to their animations. It's like they never grew out of that phase.
But back to topic. My stance on 64DD is simple. Show me a better game than OoT, and I will begin to entertain the notion that the N64 would have benefited in some way from the attachment.
Because of as right now, N64 is still the most powerful machine on earth as far as I'm concerned, simply because it's the best way to play Ocarina of Time.Literally, scarecrow song encore can't even be emulated.
I want to hook my Dreamcast to a modern LCD display via VGA. I'm considering getting one of the Behar Bros VGA boxes; Kuro, Hanzo, Toro. (I am open to other suggestions too)
Currently tossing up between Kuro (barebones VGA output) and the Toro (VGA+SCART output+ scanline generator). Can anyone with any of these boxes tell me how the scanlines look on a modern LCD display?
>LCD
Dropped.
>>3777924
Be careful with that company, they're from some Arab country and their aftersales support is bogus.
>>3777924
Don't fall for the Behar Bros VGA box meme. I bought the Hanzo and one of RCA inputs for audio came defective so it only outputs mono instead of stereo sound.
Was every old RPG manual as helpful as this bad boy? This thing is practically a walkthrough without spoiling where everything is. Post great manuals!

RPGs were considered too difficult for the American audience so they had to include a play guide.
Manuals are rare and underappreciated.

What's the best and more accurate emulators? (2017 edition)
What's the absolute best emulators from today standards? I already know punes (nes) and higan (snes) and they are incredibly, but what about other systems like genesis, vba, sms and etc? Do your guys still use vba and kega? Or everyone use retroarch these days? A comprehensive list would be helpful.
