I agree OP.
I remember playing this game after I came in from shoveling snow. I was in the fire temple, and it made me feel warmer for some weird reason.
>>3790547
I actually find the Forest Temple music very unnerving, it gives me this mental image of mischievous invisible fairies laying around the dungeon and laughing at me, maybe it has to do with the fact that as a kid it took me a while to figure that dungeon out so I ended up wandering for hours with that music playing in the background.
Hello troopers, been looking for this game for a bit, can't find a properly seeded torrent, anybody got any leads that can help me out?
hey, I have that game
I'm not gonna lie to you, but there are some games so boring that I doubt anyone would put them up for people to torrent
>>3785169
well thanks, really wanted to try it out though, can't dl it though
>>3785169
well actually, I'll tell you the truth, what i really wanted to try is the alaskan expansion pack, but that thing wont run without the base game
Does anybody know where I can get a replacement screen for a GBC?
Preferably somewhere without Ebay pricing
the only replacement screens produced today are for GBA
>>3783005
ebay
>>3783005
Unfortunately, you're probably not going to find a replacement GBC screen, at least not one with the proper pixel count or aspect ratio.
In that case, you have three options:
1. buy a used GBC with a screen that isn't fucked to either use, or swap the screen out. They cost like $10, and you'd likely spend more on a screen anyway.
2. Get a GB Boy Color. It's a GBC clone console with a proper backlit screen, but the aspect ratio is messed up. It's minor but noticeable.
3. Ditch the GBC and either pick up an AGS-101 (backlit Gameboy Advance SP), or pick up the AGB-001 (original model Gameboy Advance) and install an AGS-101 backlit screen for ultimate comfy (pic related).
What have you picked up lately, /vr/?

Does /vr/ enjoy soccer?
What's your favorite game?
>>3793290
Seibu Cup Soccer
>>3793290
Europe here, so yes.
The best /vr/ soccer game is International Superstar Soccer, but the Nintendo versions (which are discontinued today) rather than the Sony versions (which are the basis for PES today).
Pic related is a masterpiece.
>>3793290
I used to play this a lot in an arcade nearby.

Who was your main?
Toad in races, Bowser in battle mode.

Ah'mo Wario. Ah'mo gonna weeeeen!
Picked Toad one day when playing with friends solely because his kart was blue. Got a big winning streak, and from then on, it's been Toad all day every day.
https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/02/netflix-announces-castlevania-tv-show-for-2017.html
"Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar."
Discuss.
Will Netflix ever give Japanese people money to make Animus?
>>3790145
I know it would a lot harder but I was hoping this was going to be live action. Either way it's probably going to suck.
I want to see Gabriel's descent.
I want to see Simon ripping apart monsters in old dark middle eastern villages.
The hard part will be creating the right atmosphere. But, it can be done. The question is whether they will go dark or try to make something for kids/general audiences- which i think would be a mistake.

Is this the only trilogy in existence with the final installment being the best and most refined?
>>3790138
The final installment had too many shitty minigames plus underwater levels so nope.
What the fuck man? Actraiser 2 is completely balls to the wall unfairly hard.
The very first fucking boss takes half your health each hit and is in the air so impossible to hit unless you jump but if you jump and attack, it's impossible to dodge him moving if he happens to move. Then you have to jump and glide to dodge another move which does a 1/3 of your hp which puts you in danger of running into him and talking half your hp. All the while, you do 1/2 a point of damage and you can't even use any of your good spells against him.
I don't mind hard games but this game is bullshit. The hitboxes for getting hit aren't even consistent.
What a garbage sequel to Actraiser.
>>3789351
Change difficulty.I know I did, still didn't finish the game though
>>3789351
The thing that REALLY sucked about this incredibly hard game is that it has absolutely no simulation levels like the first. I was so sure it had them I actually put in the time it took to get to level 4 or 5, before finally convincing myself it was never gonna happen.
I mean, I know these games are supposed to be hard. Hell, I beat #1, and it was a fucking endeavor. But jesus, Actraiser 2 is fucking stupid hard, and eliminated the only good parts of the series.

I think you probably should have played Populous instead
What's the best Double Dragon game?
That one.
/thread
The one on GBA.
The Neo Geo fighter.

Well faggots, what is your excuse?
just emulate lol
I have no fucking obligation to "help" the "retro community". There's no reason to play shit on inferior hardware except MUH NOSTALGIA.
>>3781258
Why anyone would willingly use a Gameboy today is beyond me. Emulate the games on a better portable.
will old big box pc games be the next retro hipster craze?
>>3773895
Too complicated
Ppl wanna just pop the game in
>>3773895
No because normies only acknowledge brands like "Nintendo" and memes like "Earthbound", they don't fucking care about the games

Can someone please help me understand the differences between all of these rom versions? I'm unsure of what most of these labels mean. Which one would I pick if I just wanted to play an ordinary version of this game, and how can I tell which versions of games to pick in the future? Thanks in advance.
[U] [!] is the only one you want

Thanks. Could you maybe explain what most of these other ones are (aside for the obvious ones)?

What does /vr/ think about Wizards and Warriors III: Kuros Visions of Power?
>>3792697
Weird.
I liked it better than Ironsword. Never played W&W1.
Played it. Hated it.
>>3792750
Funny because the first is the only good one. Though I also think Ironsword is about ten times better than 3. Still a step down from the first.
