Thrill Kill is actually really fun with three friends fucked up on box wine and Zimas.

There were SO many canceled games for NES though. Secret Ties, Bio-Force Ape, Bashi Bazook are all playable and pretty great. So many cancelled games by Vic Tokai. I'd love if a playable Sir Eric The Bold surfaced but I doubt very much development at all happened with the Matchbox 12.

I'd love for Resident Evil 1.5 to come out good but at this point I have little hope.

Any, except the football one, you should especially try Spike, Hyper Chase, Dark Tower (if you can) and Web Wars. Overlays do give some games a nicer feeling but it really depends

Get a multicart with everything. Some overlays are good. Scramble isn't one of them. Armor Attack on the other hand is great. You can play without the overlay and have the Vectrex draw the map or turn that off and use the overlay to have it look just like the arcade version.

Unless it's real hardware or emulated, you have to keep an eye out for compatibility especially on NES.

Emulation is such a good option, I'd go with that.....just not a retron5.

Wonder Project maybe if you consider that an RPG. Quest64 is rather primitive but its sequel Aidyn Chronicles is passable. Excluding Paper Mario, the game you'll probably end up playing is pic related.

meant to say while the image has square pixels appropriate for modern LCDs, it makes the characters short and stout. The "pixels" should be more thin and not perfectly square, as the analog display just squeezes the wider resolution to a 4:3 format for added detail on the display space.
