I'm currently playing Policenauts using a controller and the aiming is such ass that it's making me really consider getting a Playstation Mouse but I don't know if it would be worth it for just one game. Are there any other good games that make use of it?
I'm also thinking of getting a SNES mouse sometime. Mice and keyboards for consoles in general are kind of interesting to me.

Does /vr/ like Megaman Xtreme 1 and 2? I am playing them now. I skipped Extreme Mode in the first game because apparently it is all the same bosses, but I read in the second game there's a new boss and also you can unlock a boss rush mode. So I beat a level as Zero and noticed only he got a new ability, not X. So how will that work, in terms of being able to get all the upgrades? Or will there always be a weapon available that can break down barriers?

What do you consider the most aesthetic piece of hardware?
My vote goes to the GBC. It's sturdy but comfortable, the design is simple but features all the essentials and it's all housed in a sexy, colourful case.

I always found the Pocket to be just a bit sleeker than the Colour. Percaps because it's a little more angular and a bit flatter.
My pick out of the Game Boy line would be the SP, but that's >not retro.

How does the history of videogames change if Super Mario Bros 3 kept the isometric view it was intended to have? It was the biggest console videogame in the world up until that point. Would it have made SMW isometric? What would happen to all the 2D platformer Mario clones?

So my speaker isn't working on my gameboy and I've found out it has to do with the headphone jack. Bottom line, I need a replacement jack but I can't find one. Does anyone know where I can buy one? Is it just easier to buy a "for parts" gameboy?

You need a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack that's through hole and has a switch to cut off the speakers when headphones are plugged in. You might be able to get your speakers to stay on all the time just by bridging some contacts on the back of the jack.

but only ever bothered playing the arcade mode for 2, are the rest worth getting into?
i love games with a good sense of speed that are fun to handle like in wipeout and ridge racer and always thought the gt games would be too slow for me

Feels like a mix of resident evil & GTA V but with more emphasis on puzzle solving in between characters. It's a very interesting concept and ambitious for it's time period. I liked it, and I would check it out.
