Older Koyori > Younger. younger is too much of a tomboy not enough curves.

In Sengoku Blade 2 the loli pilot had a fat ass, I can't remember her name.

What model should I be looking for if I want to pick up a ZX Spectrum?

I started out gaming on a grey +2 so that was my prefference due to nostalga and because the keyboard on the older models looks awfull. But I'm not seeing many of the grey ones, are they rare or something? Plenty of the black ones around though, I don't really care about the colour but I've heard Amstrad changed a lot of the parts and they can have some compatibility issues on some games. Is it a big issue or just a handfull of games most people will never encounter?

If the the black +2 is something to avoid, are the keyboards on the older models as bad as they look? And does having less ram limit my choice of games?

The post-grey +2 black models (+3 included) also had a compatibility problem with the enhanced sound on 128k games often being seriously corrupted. If I recall correctly, in some cases the 128k version wouldn't work at all.

Go for for grey +2, or the original 128k if you're feeling rich. Stylistically I even prefer it to the original 48k, it's a gorgeous machine IMO. I even like the keyboard, although membrane replacements are often necessary at this point.

What's a good, consistent resource for retro game reviews?
As in, reviews from around the time of retro games' release.

I know some more popular sites have been around long enough to find some old stuff, and there are some forums where I could at least go back to early-2000's. A lot of times though, when I'm trying to learn about a retro game I missed growing up, I want to find an accurate account of the general opinion back then. Something more centralized and organized would be helpful.

You could look up old magazines. There are a couple fo different sites that host pdfs of retro gaming mags.

I would like to play with old games on my crt, is there an "all-in-one" cheap console compatible with sd cards? I'm mainly interested in the 16bit era, I already have my ps1 and an n64

Wii with homebrew sounds exactly what you're looking for, OP. Emulators for all 16-bit consoles worth playing, SD card support, and is piss easy to homebrew. Do some Googling for some tutorials to figure out how to get started.

Either

>connect your phone with cable to tv and use BT controller

You are either new to this board or you're shitposting.

So, MUDs.
Kinda missed getting into them in their heyday, but had a look recently at those still alive and there is still a somewhat active community around, even actively developed clients etc.
I'm pretty invested into roguelikes, so I figured I give this a shot.

In my research I came across something interesting:
Some of the old server (with quite a history) are up but completely empty.
>sort by 30 day min

Now I'm thinking about trying to repopulate one of them.
Some obvious problems going with this would be no mod/immortal support and the possibility of the server just going down without being able to do anything against it.
But that's unlikely, these things are up for years.

Right now I'm just probing if there is any interest in this endeavor.
We could try to get /tg/ in on this too.
Any thoughts about this?

If this got going I'd probably mess around for a while. I have a few very vague memories of trying and enjoying a few MUDs in the infancy of the Internet, and this could be fun.
>>
I mess around on one once in awhile, it's been around for 20 years or so. Usually 3-12 players on. http://www.ansalon.net/
>>
If you can find one without open PvP I'd be up for playing, my brief experience with MUD's involved getting PK'd within 15 minutes of me spawning quite a few times.

I'll keep an eye out for similar threads in the future, should this one go down.

Does /vr/ label the tops of cartridges that don't have them, like Nintendo 64 ones? If so, do you use a simple labeler, find custom ones online, or just print out a sheet of paper and tape it on?

sharpie marker. If not, I just take a pen knife and carve the name of the game (or an abbreviation for it) into the top.
>>
>>3820176
I just write the name on with a sharpie. Usually I get my sister to do it because her writing is neater than mine.
>>
I just leave them unmarked and have to search through 40 cartridges until I find the one I want.

What is the best Final Fantasy game and why is it Mystic Quest?

It certainly gets too much hate, I liked it more than most Final Fantasy's because atleast it doesn't pretend to be such deep story

Bravely Default is more canon to Final Fantasy than that abomination.

This board is for the discussion of classic, or "retro" games. Retro gaming means consoles, computer games, arcade games (including pinball) and any other forms of video games on platforms launched in 2005 and earlier.
>>
Definitely noticed. Hopefully it gets fixed?
>>
>>3817823
2005 includes the Xbox 360.

It should be 2002 and earlier.
