This is the full image of the Racoon City Police Department. No clue where it's actually from. You never get to step back and see it all in RE2.
probably the full model from outbreak file 2
still neat though
they reused the outbreak level in umbrella chronicles(as well as fucking everything else from outbreak really)

I have yet to play any of these spin-off entries. Actually haven't played any I'd the main series since 4 and 5 sucked so much ass. Are these others worth playing? I think they also have a rail shooter - definitely not interested in that one.
So, a little over a year and a half ago I bought a PAL Panasonic FZ-10 3DO, that came with a Goldstar Controller and one game: Cyberdillo. After beating that game, I kind of forgot about it, until I found it collecting dust a couple of days ago.
I'd really love to get into the 3DO scene, due to it being the console that kick started some of my favourite franchises.
So, what are some good exclusives for it, and what are reasonable prices for them? Because one look at ebay, makes it seem that the reseller scum has found out about the 3DO. Unless the 3DO market has always been this expensive.
I'm already thinking of getting:
Doom
Wolfenstein 3D
Gex
Need for Speed
Captain Quazar
And maybe Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, just for the fuck of it.
Return Fire, Myst, Street Fighter II, and remember, you can burn games and run them, now, so you can play Lucene's Quest.
>>3825272
How is the 3DO doom? For a console Doom that is
>>3825301
Oh, really? Well that makes it a lot beter.
I'll try and find those games you suggested. Thank you!
Enemies/bosses that scared you when you were a kidor to this day.

What's your take on repro carts?
Cancer.
>>3824937
Pointless, especially for shit that was given an official release.
Either emulate/buy a flash cart/or stop being a cheap shit and put the money down. There is no reason to give some asshole your money for a repo.
>>3824950
This. Get a flash cart if you want to play on original hardware. Unless the game does not run on a flash cart and the original cartridge costs more than a flash a cart I can't recommend a repro.
>open Might and Magic VI
>"quick start" mode gives me a cleric
>can heal everyone if they get hurt
>outside New Sorpigal's gates
>walk in and start talking to peasants
>townfolk warn me of the vicious goblins outside the town
>go find the goblins
>they follow me back to town
>the peasants and goblins ignore each other
>try to shoot a goblin
>miss
>it hits a peasant in the eye
>all the peasants simultaneously utter an autistic screech and run at me
>the goblins and civilians are now both after me, putting their differences aside
>cleric dies in one hit from a peasant's rusty dagger because he has 0.1 HP and can only wear shirts as armor
>can't heal anyone now
>surrounded by angry mob of peasants and goblins
>die
>respawn right outside the gates again with no money
>close game and uninstall
Jk, 10/10 game. Story, visuals, and music are all one of the best ever made.
>>3824897
>tfw you will never play the uncirculated modern port because Ubisoft would sue the fan team before they even finished RARing up the game files
Might and Magic IX was trash, too bad they sold out around MM7

What is this?
I got this Saturn a while back, PAL version, model no.: MK-80200A-50, which I believe is a Model 2.However, it appears to natively play Japanese games and is set to NTSC-1-V1 .01a when I look at system settings. It doesn't recognise PAL games unless I have the action replay in, and even then the bottom of the screen is cut off. I understand that it's modded but there doesn't appear to be a switch anywhere. I know that switchless region free mods exist but I've looked them up they way they're modded (hold reset to change the region) doesn't seem to work on mine.
How would I be able to tell what has exactly been done to this thing? I've never modded a console before and have no prior experience with the Saturn so I'm taking a stab in the dark. I can't seem to get in contact with the guy who I got it from, but it wasn't advertised as modded (it did come with the AR though).

Thought I had screwdrivers lying around but can't find them, will have another look. In the meantime all I have is this shitty photo of the back cover, doesn't seem to show anything unless I'm mistaken though.
>>3824772
It shows that its not an early model 2, which means nothing really.
Last year I played through the King's Quest series and thought the games sucked, but now I wonder if I didn't give them a chance.
Cool story breh
>>3824601
why did you keep playing them?

Quality thread OP.
Chris and Jill has sex after getting home from the mansion incident, right?
Of course, it's the only logical thing to do.
Most likely. After all that happened, I bet they fucked for hours.
No, they are ficticious people.
There haven't been one for a while.
So, let me start. This PC game was about young brother and sister dungeoncrawling, some magic was involved too, I think. The view was top-down; the dungeon had chests with items, traps and monsters. To fight the monster you had to solve a word riddle of varying difficulty, tied to the monster type; I remember an ogre being one of the simplest, haven't played far enough. The "battle" interface looked somewhat like the pic related. When the time ran out, you got hit by the monster and lost some life.
The dungeon had multiple levels, each with their distinct loading screen with vaguely anime or cartoony art. Level two had the protagonists hiding at griffin's nest with a large griffin lurking nearby.
The game folder contained the file with riddles and their answers, so one could theoretically check or memorize them.
Searching for "word riddle dungeon" returns a number of game apps and other unrelated stuff and I'm not even sure what's its category on game sites: RPG, puzzle or educational.

These kinds of games tend to be edutainment games so I would focus on that.
>doom/wolfenstein clone fps on ps1
>all japanese text
>first few levels (or maybe the whole game, i don't know) took place in a modern building
>enemies were all human and i believe they were terrorists
>one enemy type was a big guy with minigun. used to get rekt by him a lot.
>cutscenes where static images with text box like visual novel
>at the end of level 1 (or maybe 2) there was one of these cutscene where cops get stuck in an elevator (one of them was you, i think)
>for some reason i used to think it was a spin-off of counter-strike or something. probably the title something similar or the box art reminded me of it.

Guys! Please help!
I can't get it out of my head for some reason and my google-fu sucks so I can't find anything on it.
So, back in the mid to late '90s I had a shareware games collection CD.
On that CD there was a roleplaying game / game with roleplay elements set in the stone age. I don't recall the name of that game.
-traveling was done on a landscape in first person. Like a raycaster only without any walls, had some tree and rock sprites.
-random encounters with wild animals and other humans
-you could trade, convice to join you or fight.
-fighting was basicaly a sidescrolling beat 'em up.
-you could craft stuff. Knapping spear or arrow tips was done by actually beating rocks in the needed shape. You had a rock and an outline of what to craft, the longer you held the mouse button, the stronger you were hitting the rock.
If I recall correctly it was listed under games for Windows 3.1
PLEASE, if any of you remember something even remotely similar, please point me in the right direction. I want to give that game another look and it drives me up the wall.
Pic obviously unrelated.
The Lost Tribe?
>>3824669
Thanks, but it isn't that. Unless there is a different game than the 1992 DOS release.
It was a Windows application. (As in "this program requires Microsoft Windows")
You probably remember something wrong or combine several games together mistakenly.
>check catalogue
>only 6 castlevania threads
What the fuck? Let's fix that.
Castlevania thread: post the games you hate, call out others on their shit taste, etc.
>>3824008
It might not be your favorite but it's impossible to "hate" Bloodlines.
1/10
I hate the DOS version of Castlevania, SQ is hard to like too as it isn't challenging or memorable as the other titles
>>3824021
It's impossible to "hate" any of the japanese-made classicvanias, yet here we are.
What are you playing right now, /vr/?
Final Fantasy VII. I am actually going to try to beat it but it is losing its grip on me. The start is strong but I went back to the home town after Cosmo Canyon and it isn't as interesting anymore. I remember dropping it a long time ago because I wasn't going to bother with some sort of door maze in the crater.
I am sure it will grip me more once I get back to Midgard.
>>3823695
It's never a good idea to force yourself to play a game. Regardless of it's popularity, if it's not fun, then it's not fun.
PLEASE HELP ME KIND SIR
What is the best game in this series?
>>3823460
I expect to be in the minority here on /vr/, but my favorite is Lament of Innocence.
>>3823460
/vr/ contrarians will swear by 1 or 3. Most people say that Classicvania is a tie between Rondo of Blood and IV, and Metroidvania is between Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow.
But the real path to proving you have the biggest epeen is proclaiming Bloodlines to be the best Castlevania
