I've heard you can play this game as either an RPG or a point-and-click adventure. How does that work? Are enemies initially NPC's that will only attack if you attack first? Do you go into "fight mode" if you choose the wrong dialogue option? If you choose to fight some enemies, are you "locked" into RPG mode for the rest of the game? What specs should you go with if you mostly want to play it as an adventure game?

>How does that work?
You can negotiate your way out of almost every encounter.

>What specs should you go with if you mostly want to play it as an adventure game?
Charisma. But the most important stat is Wisdom so you'll recall your memories.

>You can negotiate your way out of almost every encounter.
But if you mess up, does it let you try again? Or does it initiate a fight?

>But the most important stat is Wisdom so you'll recall your memories.
What does that mean? The character remember more of his backstory?

There are areas with hostile creatures and you will have to subject yourself to really shitty combat occasionally.

So I was fiddling with Slade the other day, and I decided that when the player starts the level, I want them to start with 1% health. How do I do this?

I picked this up not to long ago
I know alot of people love this game.
I am currently stuck and losing interest in becoming unstuck.

What makes this game a classic?
Why should I keep playing?

I don't like it because it has a shit story and boring gameplay, I really can't think of anything that distinguishes it
>>
>>3841991
Its "comfy" and "charming" as retards would say: a crutch to defend a totally mediocre game

It has pretty good art, and music. The gameplay sucks horribly though. The hitboxes for melee are so fucked up that you are basically forced to just spam magic to win.

It's not a great game, but its like 10 -12 hours if you know where to go.

What made it a classic is the millions of kids who played FFVII and hungered for more. So they quickly discovered Chrono Trigger, FFVI and Secret of Mana. Needless to say, the 3 quickly got elevated to the status of best games of all time along with FFVII, because they weren't much worse. And then nintentoddlers realized these games are also on SNES, which automatically made them the holy grail of gaming. IGN, Game's Pot and the rest were quick to rearrange their top-100 lists to accomodate their new auditory to stroke their dicks for ad revenue. Ironically, now there's a meme that FFVI is better than VII.

It is a decent easy dumping device for prototypes, and it is neat to easily use actual controllers on your computer.

But as for why you'd want to dump your retail carts, I have no idea.
>>
>>3841780
what is that?
>>
>>3841790
It's for moralfags who want to use their own cartridges for emulation.

Could someone possibly diagnose my X'Eye? The system cannot play Sega CD games. I know it's not the laser, because it can play music CD's just fine (Genesis games run flawlessly as well). Also, on the startup screen, the X isn't visible, there's only a mess of evenly-spaced purple lines that move in the X's pattern.

It's a tool for dentists which used the atari jaguar shell since the company that made it bought an injection mold from Atari. That same mold was then bought by the faggots (like OP) that did the Coleco Chameleon.

Bad bait BTW, OP

Any tips, tricks, or things I should look out for in the game?

No, it's pretty straight forward and well paced

Just enjoy the ride, and don't listen to the memelords who pretend it's a bad game.

When you meet the old man (you will know which one), from that moment You can change your party any second you want with the Y button.

I did not know this for a good half of the game and always went back to the old man to switch them.

The identity of "Inezh," portraying actress of Jill Valentine in the first Resident Evil game, remains an unsolved mystery among veteran Resident Evil fans. Officially, she was a high school exchange student with no prior acting experience. Mikami regretted having her on board once production started shooting at the Tama River. "Inezh" frequently complained about the mosquitos and insisted on wrapping up ahead of schedule. No one knows where she is now, but I'd be mighty interested to hear her reflect on her experience and, moreover, her side of the story.

Contrary to some rumors, Irish actress Una Kavanagh did not portray Jill, and when asked, she curtly replies, "No" to all inquiries.

Anon: So I played the first DOOM
Me: Really? Steam version or source port?
Anon: I tried Steam ver but it was shit. I'm playing on Zandronum, it gives these really cool lighting effects to lamps and it also gives you ability to look up and down. And you can jump and crouch too! It's very good!

Why is Quest 64 the best RPG on fifth generation consoles?
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>3839779

Because at the end of the day, there isn't much difference between what passes for a good RPG and a bad one. Just production values.

This game is literally a fucking meme

I feel bad for all those poor oblivious souls who fall for it when they see it in N64 game lists
