I wouldn't necessarily say the level design was shit, but some of the puzzles passages were hard as fuck, one time I even had to look up the solution. But it's better this way than the dumbed-down shit we see nowadays in video games.

The obi-strip obsession is pure autism. However I do enjoy how I can manipulate buyers into paying more just for a worthless strip of glossy paper.

I've seen many people throw them away but I always tucked them into the manual. Good decision, I guess. Sometimes used imports came with them, sometimes not but I didn't let it affect my purchasing decision and I wouldn't have paid extra to get one.

I didn't know EA published the Saturn port of Sōkyūgurentai in Japan. Feels weird.

Spyro is a collect-a-thon, though. There's plenty to do if you're actually aiming for 100% completion.

Anyone else here thinks SOR2 looks inferior to SOR1?

I mean, back then those gigantic SOR2 sprites looked very impressive, but now I feel they've got a cheap, cartoonish, dated SNK vibe... while SOR1 has a timeless and tidy aspect to me.

Wow, that's a very accurate description of the game. And yeah the GC game was disappointing in a few aspects. The waves don't feel right either.

CRTs handle light balancing better so it wasn't a problem. Also less legislation thanks to the medium being fairly new.

I remember the flashing in this sequence being obnoxious, even on a CRT.

I keep trying to play FF1 on different lcds/emus and i cant stand the flashing white when someone casts a spell. Wish someone would make a mod to remove it.

I wonder if there is like a fiver service/person that will attempt to mod games..hmm..
