So I decided to break out my old consoles, namely the SNES, N64, and Gamecube, and play them a bit. I knew they were going to be fuzzy on my HDTV, and I don't have a CRT lying around, nor do I have the space to put one. My question is, is there any way to reduce this blurriness/fuzziness to sharpen the picture a bit? I have done a bit of searching and have found pretty much only 2 options:
1. Composite/component to HDMI converter
2. S-video to HDMI converter
A local store sells Composite converters pretty cheap. Is this a good option? Will it make the picture quality any better at all? I have scaled down my aspect ratio to 4:3, and this makes it look a bit better, but will either of these converters help further? Thanks for any help/advice in advance.

I just checked. No scart inputs on my tv. I'm currently playing my gamecube (I realize that isnt considered retro by this board, but it's relevant to what I'm asking) and thought about getting the component cables for it, but holy fuck they're like $200

I remember playing Descent 2 on PC back in the late 90's/early 2000's (whenever it came out) and almost puking from the 360 degree manipulation.

I've played and beaten both, and honestly I prefer ALTTP. The story is original, unlike OOT which essentially remade it in 3D, and still controls beautifully to this day. Not that OOT is a bad game, but I found it pretty boring honestly. Is it a nostalgia thing or what?

Doma: Beads, Elixir, Ether, Fenix Down, X-Potion
(Beads increase evade, which was useless in the SNES version. Not sure how useful they are in the fixed versions. You can buy them eventually.)
Imperial Base: 8000 GP, 13000 GP, 20000 GP, Back Guard, Cherub Down, Cure Ring, Elixir x2, Ether, Flame Sabre, RunningShoes, Wall Ring, X-Potion
The only really nice reward is the Charm Bangle, which you get if you do near perfect at the banquet. It reduces the encounter rate. But you can get it later in the game, and you can also find an item that totally eliminates encounters, so it's not a huge deal.

The other item you get for doing well is the Tintinabar (Tintinnabulum in the new versions), which restores HP every step. You can still get one at this point of the game by doing a side quest where you help deliver letters for a wounded soldier in Mobliz.

Couldn't find any threads related to this so I thought I'd make one. Been feeling like replaying Zelda 1 but when I turn on the NES, it resets constantly, I can only see about 1 second of the title screen each time.
All my other games work so I'm guessing this isn't the console's 72 pins connector, anyone got an idea of what could be the problem? Cleaning the contacts did not work, took a picture of the board if anyone can help.

Let's talk about retro PC hardware. I've unearthed a shoebox full of old VGA cards and it's making me want to dig up one of my old PCs and set it up with some DOS/win95 games.
Some of them were wrapped in newspaper and labeled. Those should be the good ones, but what should I be looking for? Are Voodoo 3 cards the best, or are they too new?
What's the ultimate retro gaming PC? It feels like a ridiculous question because all this hardware is objectively obsolete. Is it based on a 486, or a Pentium I/II/III?

Not retro, but early GBA games like Wario Land 4 and Mario & Luigi have a really unique aesthetic I can't quite pinpoint
