im too dumb and don't get it. has anyone made a good level with this?
Many games would benefit from a level editor.

made they made some obscure shovelware
This guy can go fuck himself
need mask power
bring the flying stomp foot on him non-stop
only start punching him if you in close enough to do the auto neck strangle
Which /vr/ Mario Kart is the best, and why?
>inb4 some autist says CTR, Diddy Kong Racing, or some other kart racer
That's not what I asked. I'm only asking about these two.
Super because coins made a lot of sense in a Mario kart racer
Better music, looks nicer. Koopa.
>>4220106
I liked Super more. I don't even know exactly why, but 64 felt... like many 64 games did: empty. The tracks were big, but felt empty. The whole game felt big but empty for me, while Super felt more compact but cramped and fun.
>>4220106
Super. Courses were more interesting and the controls were better. Handling was so slippery in MK64.
>/vr/ primarily cuts off at gen 5
>meaning we can't discuss excellent licensed soundtracks as they mostly didn't come into play until gen 6
I guess we can touch on the first two THPS games but that's really about it.
>muh original game compositions will always be better than some shitty labeled song
>licensed soundtracks
If you mean songs that aren't originally from the games, you can discuss these on /mu/

Or /v/

Well you see OP, Tony Hawk 1, 2, and 3 are 5th gen so you can talk about them here. I assume you also acknowledge that Road Rash 32-bit is /vr/.

Quality quote. My eng lit friends were suitably impressed. Quoting Alaundo in BG2 was a bit weak in comparison.
Post /vr/ Charts. I have a few, but always looking for more.
Will based pannenkoek2012 ever defeat the pole?

Im asking seriously Henry, is it possible to cross that shit even when the lava boost failed?

A part of me wishes that hadn't gone memetic, since I absolutely love his breakdowns of various subsystems in the game itself. Then again, I suppose I wouldn't have found out unless that video had blown up, so I guess it's a double-edged sword.
Lets talk about content that never made it into the final release version of games. What would you have liked to see make it into your favorite game? Video and pic related for me.

this site should help a bit
There's a persistent rumor that a gay bar was planned for Dragon Quest III, and that Nintendo forced it to be removed before the game could be published for the Famicom. But I've yet to find any reliable sources to verify this claim. It was brought up again when Enix published the GBC enhanced port of the game. Nintendo supposedly gave them the all-clear to include any content they wanted this time, and the ESRB subsequently rated the game up to T.
cut content? unseen64 have fun
What are some of your favorite games that are flawed as fuck but you love them anyway?
I'll start: Lampshade is one of my favorite NES games but I'm the first to admit it's menu system is cumbersome at best and that it's fighting scenes are very basic and you are guaranteed to lose some health on most fights no matter how good you are.
It was my first open world rpg, first game where the story wasn't hand fed to me. Weeks of exploring and fitting bits and pieces together, a few good music tracks.
On the other hand, the truly fucking random encounter system, some of the music was ear-bleeding, and you basically had to take time off from questing to play the economy to avoid starving ever few hours of gameplay.
Still love it.
Let's see here:
Godawful translation that managed to swap "Yes" and "no" around and left you with very vague idea of what you are supposed to be doing.
Game literally is a never ending fetch quest.
Random encounters with ridiculous encounter rates.
Game often forces you use characters you don't want to use so you are often either forced to use worthless under-leveled character or do some level grinding to get that character up to speed.
Good fucking luck figuring out how to find the earth shaman or how to get the best ending without using guides or walkthroughs.
This game basically features everything I hate about JRPGs and yet it is one of my all-time favorites. How the fuck does that work?
Quest 64
Battle Zeque Den
Mystical Fighter
Which one of the ONLY TWO Dungeon Keeper games that exist is better?
Mobile
I'll say Gold but that's because that's the only one I own since it went free a few years ago.
Had a lot of fun with it.
MY MINIONS WILL LEAVE YOUR DUNGEON A CRUMBLING RUIN
I haven't played the second one yet but the first one had a great atmosphere and sound design.
Which of these games should I try playing today /vr/? Any suggestions?

Threads of fate. Coolest combat system of the bunch.
>>4218840
I was leaning towards it. I played a demo
Of it as a kid and enjoyed it.
>>4218825
Skies of Arcadia, my dude.
Only game I've ever played to give me a sense of adventure and exploration. People say the same for Grandia, but it couldn't compare to everything in Skies.
Finally beat X6. Pic related sucked. I kept using my health restores and then falling to my death. I caved and made a savestate right before the fight just so I could keep my e-tanks. What a tedious battle, fuck. I used Zero, maybe that was a mistake?
I tried fighting Sigma with blade armor, but his second form was too hard once he started shooting the things that took up half the screen height. So I tried the level again with shadow armor and he became a joke since a single charged attack took away giant chunks of health.
Anyway, X thread?
>>4218767
It can't be worse than X4's fight with Sigma using Zero. Get gud.
>>4218956
I thought that fight was far easier with Zero than with X.

Memory could be betraying me it's been a while.
I hate how fucking filthy 99% of NES games are. Every single one I need to take a fuck load of brasso to the pins and get them shining like they should be.
How do you take care of your cartridges? Normally if the worst they get is a bit dusty alcohol should do the trick, but if you're blowing in them, you are ruining them.
>>4220037
>brasso
Woah, nigga, that's something to use as a LAST resort, not the first thing you go to. Usually just rubbing alcohol and some cloth will do the job. On heavy duty jobs taking a latex-free eraser to the contacts should do it. I've only had onc instance where I needed to more, and that's where there was actual corrosion on the contacts, which I gently scraped away with a razor blade.
You don't need the contacts to shine like they were fresh out of the box in 1989 - just clean enough to, you know, work.
>>4220043
brasso is clean enough to work and keep it working. It's not going to damage anything unless you're a fool with it and rub through the contacts. It's a necessity for NES games because people got their 30 year old spit creating a micro bacterial culture on their cartridges.
>>4220043
Brasso is perfectly fine. I've used it to restore every cartridge in my collection and have had no problems. Even carts that were unplayable after alcohol/windex were recovered
Fighting me some cockroaches - who remembers this gem?
I don't like the isometric remakes. I think they lack the atmoshpere of the original. The top-down view and the nice pixel art are what makes this game so fun.
I would love to see a true remaster with the same art style and some UI tweaks.
Somebody made a remake of Swords of Exile
