What happened to Diablo I & II threads? I haven't seen one in a while, so let's have a classic Diablo thread.

I think diablo 2 usually has ladder resets in may and november. If you want to play D2 with other people (not just bots) you might want to wait until then.

>What happened to Diablo I & II threads?

They usually derail into Diablo 1 vs Diablo 2 or arguing whether or not 2 is retro so most people gave up on them.
>>
OP here, potentially retarded question because I'm pretty new to D2 and haven't played D1 in over ten years: is there any advantage to playing in a private solo Bnet session over just playing offline?

do you think consoles entering 3D gaming during the mid 90s was too early? notice how most saturn games play fine today but most ps1/n64 have aged terribly.

Can we get a thread going where we discuss excellent ROM hacks such as this one? I actually like this more than the original SMW. The levels are huge the over world map is as non linear as the original if not more so and it even has levels based on Sonic The Hedgehog as well as an alternate dimension you can unlock and a storyline where Bowser tries to take over the world with a giant fucking starship!

So which DKC game is the best? Pic related, I think 2 is objectively the best with it's excellent level design and music. I loved the pirate/ghost themes a lot more than the generic jungle theme of the first game, but the entire trilogy as a whole is brilliant.

I only played Wipeout on my hacked Vita, and it's so obvious they're different sci-fi racing games.

Wipeout seems too easy though
>>
F-Zero is the superior series, but Wipeout is breddy gut too

I just found about a "new" 3DO emulator made by some russian, that has 100% compatibility with the entire 3DO library, but I just don't know what exclusives to play as most of the games I know in this system are multiplat anyway. So /vr/, what are the games I MUST play in this system ?

All the must-play games did in fact get ported. My favorite is definitely Slayer. Doctor Hauser is a decent AitD clone. Lucienne's Quest is a JRPG that's pretty formulaic but has a very 3DO aesthetic you might enjoy. There are quite a few exclusive primitive FPSs most people like Killing Time but I like Monster Manor best unless you count Slayer as an FPS.

Super SF2 Turbo. Loading times make it a joke today but back then it was as close to arcade-perfect as it got.

Also really good ports of movie games like Dragon's Layer, Myst, etc.

This is the hardest game I have ever played. In fact I can't beat it although it features unlimited continues.

The game is also shitty as fuck with some of the most awful level design in video game history. The real Super Mario Bros 2 is so much better it isn't even funny anymore.

No, you just don't know how to use it. Blocking is important because on harder difficulties enemies will do okizeme on your ass and knock your ass down again before you can move away. So it's better to take block damage rather than non-blocked damage.
