Is it possible to beat any zelda game without a strategy guide? With one I'm fine but I just tried link to the past again without one and I'm stuck wandering aimlessly because I don't know where I'm supposed to go.

Ocarina of Time was designed to be easy and boring, no strategy guide necessary.
>>
>>3903997

I heavily relied on a strategy guide for ocarina of time. You would have no idea where to go to each section of the game without it. How am I supposed to know I'm meant to go up a mountain and not down in the water or over in the desert etc?

Check your map, and actually read what the game is telling you.

With the one exception being Kazoku keikaku.

That's a good remake that keeps the same aesthetics but corrects some of the goofy looking CGs.

Why is it that the sega master system had no good or noteworthy games? Anyone can list a long list of well known and noteworthy NES games, but they probably wouldn't even know the SMS even existed.

Atari owners come out, I know you're here.

Showing off a few pulls I got from a nearby resale store. It's the Sears clone of the 2600, but it'll do. Just needs some dusting off and it should be ready to go.

Now this leads me to my next question.

Here's the collection of games I got with it in the bundle they had. I'm looking to add Yars' Revenge, Adventure, Donkey Kong, Combat, and Mario Bros. to my collection of 2600 games. Are there any other must have titles I need for the system?

I used to play this game on my dad's laptop when I was a kid, but I can't for the life of me remember the name and I want to try it again.

English isn't my first language so remembering the names of games is a bit hard because I couldn't understand them, anyway.
It was 3d open world(?), you were driving this blocky hover car (not hovercraft I remember playing another hovercraft game) and there were other hover cars around and police, not sure if you were the police. You drove on floating roads and the roads ended and you just dropped down into other bits of road below, and then there were cities with these random ramps and tall buildings, and about that's all I can remember.
I'm pretty sure it was open world or at least open world-ish, like Driver since there was no count down or green lights to say "race has started" or anything like that when you spawned.

That's about it I know it isn't much to start on but it's one of those games I played when my dad brought his work laptop and me and him played the games his friends installed on there. I remember playing bonk heads
with my dad on there.

>to get those two guys blocking your path to Lucca gone you need to talk to a random girl standing next to a fountain AFTER meeting Marle and giving her the pendant

HOW THE FUCK WAS I SUPPOSED TO EVER FIGURE THAT OUT WITHOUT A GUIDE? DID YOU ALL JUST LITERALLY TALK TO EVERY NPC ON EVERY SECTION OF THE FAIR, BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER DOING ANYTHING?

No, fuck you. I posted that I couldn't figure it out the other week and everyone was all like "lol it's easy just be yourself." But just now I finally gave up and looked up the answer online and now I'm demanding an explanation for why ANYONE thought that was obvious. How would I possibly know to do that random pair of tasks, in that specific order? The fountain is section is just one random spot in the fair, that doesn't make any sense. YOU'RE the troll for pretending it was obvious.
>>
>>3909836
Your natural instinct in RPGs should be talk to absolutely everyone. If it is then you would complete the task naturally. If you aren't, why the fuck are you playing RPGs?

Any good homebrews for this thing BESIDES all of the over saturated selections of Beats of Rage? Having recently been reunited with a DC, I've gone on a spree of burning games and knew the homebrew community was at least still in existence, but I can only stand so many iterations of Beats of Rage and all the places I look shoddy at best in terms of true variety.

So let's get some suggestions. Please refrain from BOR unless a particular title truly stands out.

What was your first game and what was it on?

I can remember 3 games but of them I don't remember my first.

Zelda Ocarina of time
Age of empires
Crash bandicoot

One of these was likely my first.

Lately wanted to get myself some complete romsets but noticed that most of them have either everything packed from bad dumps to every hack.
Most of them are badly organised or messy.

Are there any good romsets, that contain all the playable games without bad dumps and hacks, that have neat folder structure and are well organised?

Asking because couldnt find despite searching.

>Lately wanted to get myself some complete romsets but noticed that most of them have either everything packed from bad dumps to every hack.

You really do want a set that includes bad dumps, overdumps, etc. Some of them aren't actually bad dumps, and are in fact the only version of the ROM that might work, or work properly. For instance, the only "good" US dump of Tetris 2 is actually a bad dump with glitched graphics, and it's one of the bad dumps that's actually the good dump.

You also want to keep alternative dumps around in case there are specific ROM hacks or translations you wish to use, as they might require a ROM with a specific CRC. (Which is to say, some hacks have to be applied to so-called bad dumps in order to work)
