What are your thoughts on Shifting Sand Land?
BROWN BRICKS
>>3911772
First half is kind of a pain, but nothing too terrible. The game puts you through a lot worse.
I quite liked the second half inside the pyramid, though.
>>3911772
Not as shitty as the clock or Rainbow Ride.
What kind of Monster Rancher wouldn't want a Pixie on their farm?
I fantasized about Pixie so fucking much back then.
Ranches that raise champions, that who.
>>3882710
A Lilim was my champion, what now?
sup /vr/ just started playing retro games mainly platform ones can you recommend some games preferably small size ones
>>3927352
Uncharted 4
>>3927356
>>3927352
What do you mean by "small size ones"?

Souuds a lot like the flintstones theme
Who the fuck was Justin Bailey? We all know who Chris Houlihan was, but what about Justin Bailey?
This wasn't an intentional password. You know that, right?
>>3926070
I find that highly unlikely.
>>3926074
Well I don't exactly remember how it works but you could put in quite a few things into the password screen and it'll do something.
Armored Core thread?
I downloaded the first one yesterday and basically spent all day off playing it, half of that time was just customizing and testing my AC. I wish I'd discovered this series earlier, it's fun as shit!
Here's my beloved AC. Think I did a pretty good job here. Any suggestions?
You're going to regret that once you reach Master of Arena.Target Verified. COMMENCING HOSTILITIES
I am currently in a mood for some comfy old games, im thinking about getting Breath of fire 4, or Skies of Arcadia. Are these Games as good as they look? Are they fun at all?
And what other PSX games are gems i missed?
Never played BoF4 for more than an hour but it does seem cozy, I'm probably going back to it at some point.
SoA is in a way, although I don't really find sunny skies all that cozy in general. Doesn't mean it's not an amazing game.
SOA is awesome but the high encounter rate kills the comfy somewhat
BOF4 is far comfier
>>3925402
ok thanks, i will look if its in the PS Store
did anyone else here grow up with konami cartridges & shitty tape games?
MSX general.
Most of /vr/ are 'muhricans who only had the NES or SNES growing up and probably weren't aware.
Was the MSX even popular in the UK? I always assume it was mostly a Netherlands thing.
>>3925281
We never had it. We did the c64/speccy thing
>>3925315
>We never had it.
What? We totally had it. Obviously it wasn't as popular as the alternatives, but it was never difficult to find that grey Toshiba MSX 1
What the fuck was it? Is it different in the Japanese version?
>>3924869
Probably panties.
>>3924869
Mushroom dildo
>>3924869
Stool
What do you think about Dark Half? It looks great but i never see this game discussed here.
>>3924762
Might be one of the most underrated games, pretty unique and good too
>>3924762
What kind of game is it ?
>>3925117
JRPG where you play both the hero and the villain
Daily reminder if you nostalgizm all over the place over N64, you may never again criticize any game over bad framerate.
>>3924752
I always wished the guards wouldn't disappear. The pile of bodies would have reached the ceiling in no time.
>>3924781
>I always wished the guards wouldn't disappear. The N64 would have crashed from running out of memory in no time.
>FPS
>console
not worth the talk
Is the PC version the best way to play pic related?
it has the quality textures of the dreamcast version but without the dreamcast version's shitty map screen
I'd say yes
>>3924451
Honestly other the maybe ps1 I don't think it matters much. This game has literally a million ports, you would think its a FF game. I believe the 3ds version is the newest version, I have to imagine that is probably the best.
>>3924451
3DS version is the DC version but with a shit framerate.
Did this part in Super Mario 64 stress anyone else the fuck out?
Not that part. The poison cave really got to me as a kid though.
And the boo house actually scared the bejeesus out of me. I refused to go there after getting the first star of the place.
I was kind of a pussy when I was a kid.
>>3923908
No but the Tick Tock Clock level pisses me off, the camera is at is worst on that level
>>3923908
Yeah, when I was a kid those jumps scared me
what sega saturn emulator you recommended?
Mednafen
>>3923880
There's only two I'm aware of - Yabuse and SSF.
https://yabause.org/
http://www.geocities.jp/mj3kj8o5/ssf/index.html (warning: nipponese geocities)
SSF is the only sane choice. But it does run virtually every game released.
When did you realise Doom 2 was a bad sequel and should have just been an expansion pack for Doom 1?
For me it was when I played Doom 64
Also ITT: Generally bad or underwhelming sequels to good games
Honestly I don't get how Doom 2 gets to be called a sequel, while Brood Wars is just an expansion pack
Lets compare them
>New monsters/units
Yup
>New maps
Yup
>New storyline
Yup
By Doomfag logic, Brood Wars should be Starcraft 2
>>3923026
Never
Play Doom II through on Co-op and DM, then do the same for Doom. The sequel is an unbridled upgrade.
>>3923030
It has absolutely nothing to do with how the fans define it. It's the fucking name.
