Also you can use old video cards with tv-out with a CRT for better quality
and for that need to install windows xp with and old driver for
nvidia or ATi due microsoft DRM against video piracy bullshit.

or get an old laptop with intel-svideo.

at least in my experience, the guncon2 doesn't work if its connected to the s-video port.
but it does if it's connected in the RCA even if your video source is connected to the S-video.

finally. many linux distros support old tv-out for old video cards
but I'm not sure if there are drivers for the guncon2

Not that it matters too much, anyway - The more options out there, the better. This isn't a race!

It's the closest Doom-engine games come to being fun for me. Heretic is comfy but not particularly enthralling.

And Doom? At best I fucking tolerated the first one. I couldn't even finish the second one because it was so. Goddamned. Boring.

Loved it when it came out, but never got past the first hub when I was a kid.

Played it again a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Some puzzles were a bit hard and had to refer to walkthrough, but it was worth it. no sense aimlessly wandering around with no idea what to do. If I find myself doing that for more than 20min, I check the walkthrough.

Probably my favorite doom-engine game.

I recall being pretty chuffed with myself when I discovered you could skip climbing that tower at the start if you play the mage.

It's a complete mess because it was rushed. They wanted a sequel out as quickly as possible to cash in on FF7's success. And Square didn't understand the appeal of FF7. They thought it was because it was:

>cinematic story telling
>realistic
>detailed cut-scenes

So they doubled down on those. Oh sure, FF8 has a LOT of the above. But it has none of the charm of FF4-7.

This is better than the one you posted. Zero upscaling of the captured video with no additional lag whatsoever. Really though, what you should be doing is use a distribution amplifier to run the a/v signal to both the tv and the capture device and play off the tv while recording. Doing it that way means you can use even the shittiest capture device without having your gameplay become hampered down by poor capture.
