Isn't it "It's in the game"
Happy 25th, Wolf3D.
>>3971792
You're probably just a false flag, but wof3d is a classic game.
Happy b-day to my first PC game.
>tfw your favorite games are getting old
>tfw you are getting old

I just picked up a lot of stuff off of Craigslist which included an Oddyssey 2 along with The Voice add-on, however there was no power supply included.
But there was an Intellivision II as well, having it's power supply. But if I remember correctly it's no where near what the stock supply was.
So, I plugged it in using it just long enough to check if the console works. It does.
But is this safe to play with? The back of the supply reads;
INPUT: 120V 60HZ 19W
OUTPT: 16.2VAC 955MA
This is an Odyssey 2 power supply. I'm not sure which measurement means what exactly, but I know when looking at power requirements there are certain values that are basically "requires at least this much" and others that mean "can't handle more than this". If anyone who's savvy about this kinda stuff knows...
>>3971658
It seems like they should be compatible from what I can tell from that picture, but I'm obviously not sure.
I had one previously that used an Atari 2600 style plug, but this one is more NES like. I don't know if that'd mean they could be different as well.
thanks for the input man
Yeah that power supply would burn it up. It's okay to use one rated for higher amperage but not one that puts out higher voltage - although 12v should probably be okay.
Something seems fishy about the current listings of this game, "Blockids". It looks like there are not a lot of copies of this game, it is not highly sought after, and yet it looks like a decently good game on the lines of Arkanoid.
In regards to eBay prices, the market of this game just seems unusual as though it might spike in price later if it gets enough attention. My question is why are there so many sealed? ...And yet so few listings on eBay.
Only 7,000 - ish views on the highest view count video. I think this qualifies as a hidden gem and I predict that the price of this will eventually be upwards of $28 - 35 in the near future.
>>3971540
I predict you're not very good at guessing/predicting price trends. kek
There is no telling when it comes to retro games. Take Hurricanes on the SNES for example. I bought a copy at a game store a couple years ago for $10. At the time, it wasn't worth much more than that. Now if you look on ebay, an NTSC copy goes for over $100. This market blows my fucking mind.
>>3971540
now is the BEST time to buy ps2 and ps3 games. PS1 games will be buyable again in maybe 5-10 years.
I really loved these; can /vr/ recommend any more with the same or similar gameplay?
Animaniacs both SNES and Genesis games.
I don't remember very well but Aaahh!!! Real Monsters on Sega Genesis and SNES was this kind of game.
>>3971541
that game sucked ass.
I'm looking for some games that are mainly set up in the prehistoric times.
Now, I know that there was such time period in Chrono Trigger - but that was not the main timeline of the game.
Also remember Prehistoric and Ugh!
I remember there also being some kind of Warcraft 2-esque game about war of cavemen agaisnt dinosaurs that I can not find.
Anyway, I'm interested in more games about cavemen and the stone age.
The Joe & Mac games (J&M1, 2 and Congo's Caper).
the Bonk series
Whats your thoughts on retro challenges /vr/? Streamers go through an entire consoles releases or do the same for a genre.
Do you have any favourites or do you despise the entire concept?
What would you like to see run?
>>3971109
what you mean they play like every platformer ever made or literally every game released for the SNES or something
unless they just dip their toe in the water for each game or set a simple time limit instead of beating the games I don't see how this is gonna work
I'd love to see examples of what people think are good ones tho
>>3971109
I play games for fun.
That being said, I'm actively playing all the games I own for completions sake. Sometimes if it's a replay of a game I've already beaten, I'll try something different like a challenge, or hard mode, but for the most part I like to play as the developers intended.
Back when I was in Highschool I had all the time in the world to do Dante Must Die no items and Knife only Resident Evil 4. I just don't have that kind of time now.
>>3971129
They play them to completion.
Is this a good game?
>>3970936
It was an okay short story
>>3970936
genuinely better as a book but
yeah it's okay

Not as good as Kabuki: Quantum Fighter.
Very ambitious game. Ninja Gaiden-style cutscenes and multiple gameplay styles.

What's with the greentext anon?
Are you being facetious?
What does /vr/ think of Ape Escape?
>>3969060
I only ever played a pizza hut demo of it, but I remember thinking it was really cool. Definitely made good use of the dualshock back when no one really knew what to do with the second analog stick or the r3/l3 buttons. Did Hideo Kojima work on it or was he just a fan?
>>3969062
He was just a fan, i think.
Some people though Konami owned the IP.
>>3969060
good game in retrospect
when it came out the concept of little thumbsticks was new and alien to me and I hated it. I wasn't very comfortable with regular joysticks either. the game felt all floaty and gross
d-pads were basically perfect for everything and I saw the game as indicative of a thing I liked being ruined for months by a stupid fad
I'd love to play it again
Does this controller work with Pong?
>>3968987
>here's your controller bro
Shaped for HER pleasure
I just bought this controller and purchased Blockids sealed for 16.99. That's kind of a steal. I hope this controlled works with it. I feel like this controller was made to play pong style games. Really hoping this works.
Is that a thing you bought from some jap off ebay? I head they do that a lot
It is very cute! Japs are cute! CUTE!

GlideN64 was hyped up as the "savior" of N64 emulation. You just had to make a little donation. All it was, was a project to pay some programmer to work on it. And idiots fell for the hype. Well, 3 years later, and we have nothing to show for it.
N64 emulation is so fucked up, Banjo Tooie is still impossible to run without glitches no matter what you do. NONE of the N64 emulators work properly whatsoever.
AngryLion will save us!

I'm rooting for CEN64 or the Mupen64plus vulkan branch.
>$6,000
What the fuck? For that amount of money you'd better be uncovering full n64 documentation or spending time learning how the custom microcode works or something. Who the fuck would have fell for this?
>>3968143
>I'm rooting for CEN64 or the Mupen64plus vulkan branch.
It's probably going to be the latter. Vulkan is the future.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the reason that N64 emulation was still so fucked in 2017 was that we still don't have all the documentation about how the systems GPU works?
