Thoughts?
Good game that gets undeservedly bashed due to e-celeb parroting shitters. Pig Surfing is a great boss level with good controls.
A disappointing end of the EarthWorm Jim series.

I randomly played it when finding games to play and I remember it gave me a headache.
Check your G-diffuser systems.
Don't tell me what to do, faggot
well that escalated quickly
Something's wrong with the G-diffuser system.
>We lost the RAWs forever thanks to Nyaa going down, until it comes back up.
But on the plus side, new episode!
http://www.sa-gccx.com/episode/crazy-climber
That's not even new.
>>3964852
It's new by subbed GCCX standards
Hey-ohhh

They're all on MEGA and indexed at that blog spot. The .TS files (transport streams), the original broadcast sources, are backed up on physical media.
>that dracula fight
That's seriously it? Not even a real second form?
Why were all the bosses in this so sub-par?
>Super Castlevania Bros
Seriously?

I'm sorry to tell you this, but you fell for the meme, anon. This is by far the worst CV game. Even CVII is better and man... that game is rough..

???
So far I have Banjo-Kazooie, Mario 64, Yoshi's Story and Kirby 64.
What do I buy next? Most games on this console seem to suck.
Sin & Punishment and F-Zero X are the only must-owns.
>>3958748
Smash bros
Yoshis story
Paper mario
Zelda
Diddy kong racing
Dk63
4
Goldeneye
>>3958748
Episode 1 Podracer is great, obviously.
Try Lego Racers for a good Mario Kart clone where you can build your own karts and save them.
Shadows of the Empire (Star Wars) for that Hoth battle
Battletanx for that everything
Mario party 2 or 3 if you have a bro or two to play with, endless fun.
Pokemon Snap if you want a unique on-rails photography game, Stadium if you have a transfer pak and a copy of R/B/Y on gameboy.
Pokemon Puzzle League is just Tetris Attack with pokemon skinned over it, so it's fun.
In Kirby's Dream Land 3, if you defeat Zero in Boss Butch with full health, hold down X, L, and R as he dies to be treated with this screen.
Cool beans.
In Metal slug 3 all of the characters have underwater idle animations. Webm-related is Fio's. No one ever sees these.
>>3957608
Also in Metal Slug 3 you can see Utan whip out his dick instead of a banana on VERY rare occasions. I have provided a webm of this as well.
There's some Star Fox 64 secrets I wanna share too but I don't just wanna TALK about it. Imma' record it later.
Post the most colorful and visually pleasing retros you know of.

Be honest now, what /vr/ character have you fapped to the most over the years?
>>3950331
It's actually kind of impressing they could get nipple and vulva detail on a ps1
Thinking about it.
Probably Fio. I'm gonna go with Fio.
Mai Shiranui no question
Still the best game ever made. What went so fucking right?

Sorry to ask this, but I'm incredibly high right now and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Greentext to get you to where I'm at.
>friend introduced me to retro VGM soundtracks
>liked most of what I heard
>decide to look up the games and how to play them
>don't really like emulation, never been a fan
>look up PC-88
>US version is called Turbografix
>get prices on it, not too horrid, could definitely do this for some good gaming
>first game I wanna play is Sorcerian, had the coolest soundtrack out of the things friend showed me
>Sorcerian is for PC-88
>cool cool. Maybe I'll like the game better if I know what the fuck is going on, but I'll settle for moon-runes I can't translate for now.
>looking at other games and see Popful Mail, see PC-88 version then PC-98 version
>questions all around
PC-98 version sounds nice, looks good too
Want to get PC-98 stuffage, but didn't see US version, don't know if TurboGrafix will run PC-98 games, pretty sure it won't actually.
I'd like advice on the whole PC-88 and PC-98 thing, see what options there are for them. Any really good games for PC-98 in English? And which system is better? Is there a better way to play the games on those systems?
Sorry, I really don't know anything about these things except for the Turbografix, I'd heard about it growing up, but never met someone who had one.
>>3973706
Maybe reword "Is there a better way to play the games on those systems?"
More like, "Is there a better way to play the games from those system?"
I don't know if games ended up getting ports or being remade for other consoles and perhaps it made something better or worse about it. Sorry.
Also, OP again, What other games would you recommend for these systems, /vr/? I'd like to see what other good games there are for it. Seems like a cool thing and the soundchip? soundcard? they have in it makes everything sound awesome. Both 88 and 98 seem pretty awesome to me.
>>3973716
PC-88 and PC-98 were Japan only. The TurboGraphix had some great games from Irem, Namco, and Konami. NEC handled the Sega ports, but some people like them. Naxat, Falcom, and Hudsonsoft had some good orginal games as well.
I really enjoyed Stranded/survival Kids. Are there any other retro games like it?
>>3973450
do you know there are sequels..?
The Muzintô Monogatari series of general public and adult games.
Don't expect any translations.

lol that screenshot.
You have to admit, the changes made for the western release were ultimately for the better
If it was released as is then it would've been easy to a fault
I never played the 3rd game because hearing about getting only 3 lives for the whole game spooked me out of it. Is the game relatively easy compared to the first 2 games? I have played those to completion.
>>3972805
>only 3 lives for the whole game
Its 5 continues for the game, not lives, and I'd say its between the first and second in terms of difficulty
The gameplay is great. The story is fucking retarded
Was Mr. Wright getting cheated? Why didn't Link tell him the truth?
What part of the wind fishs psyche did this represent?
>>3972442
The whalesex part.
>>3972426
>Why didn't Link tell him the truth?
Because he is a Mute Protagonist(tm)?
A live event yesterday unveiled more details regarding the all-new Brazilian re-launch of the Mega Drive/Genesis, which will take place a few months from now.
Recent tests have disappointed lots of enthusiasts that had pre-ordered the console. The sound quality was absolutely sub-part, and many games were revealed to not be compatible with the new console. Slowly over time, those things are getting fixed as TecToy gets the new console as close to the original as possible, using modern-available parts.
It's also been revealed that there WILL be physical cart releases, mostly first-party SEGA titles that TecToy has acquired permission for re-use. Most importantly, it was revealed that the new Mega Drive will have firmware updates through the SD card port. This enables the company to release customized firmware to fix individual glitches within each game.

Will this reduce the price of the mega drive online?

More likely to increase id say.
>>3972364
Also more likely to scam
What is the latest /vr/ game, i.e., the last game released before 01/01/2000? What about the latest piece of hardware?
>games on platforms launched in 1999 or earlier
>on platforms launched in 1999 or earlier
>platforms
Does this mean that stuff like Halo 2600 and Battle Kid count as retro?
>>3972293
I think if you look at how /vr/ is moderated and what most posters here tend to call out as off-topic, there is a separate notion of /vr/ games and /vr/ platforms. New games for /vr/ platforms like Halo 2600 or modern ROM hacks of /vr/ games aren't /vr/'s core content, but are not generally considered off-topic, either.
The last hardware with notable significance are the NGPC and Wonderswan from March 99.
There are a bunch of PC games noted as released 1999/12/31 but the dates aren't really reliable.
