Were there ever two games with the same name on the same console? It sounds like a thing that could happen with more generic titles but I haven't heard of any such cases.

Quick thought, what would /vr/ think of a dating game for the C64, with all the waifus being old tech in waifu form?

I hadn't seen her before. She is pretty cute and I love her outfit.

Did it ever occur to you that the people who started this game wouldn't ENJOY the earlier installments you seem to cherish so much? That this game's style, design, and gameplay have left a strong first impression on people who experienced this before anything else bearing the "Final Fantasy" name that your precious Final Fantasy VI simply won't connect well with them, hence why they don't want to try it?

Anyone here actually like the Jaggie Graphics of the PS1?

>>
Yeah it's rather quaint.
>>
>>3973720
I used to hate them at the time and for a long time after

my feelings for jaggedy ass 3d graphics has softened

maybe it's just nostalgia or whatever speaking but I think a lot of those games look pretty cool

I'd love to replay fighting force

As long as it's not on the wrong aspect ratio like the OP pic, and as long as I'm using a CRT; I can tolerate them.

Has anyone tried using RetroArch on PS3? Any thoughts on the experience?

Can you use USB controllers, for example the iBuffalo SNES-style controller?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Everything runs fine except for the Jaguar core Nec systems and FBA are kinda buggy.
>>
haven't tried usb controllers but shader performance is pretty good, only bad thing is some like crt-royale, crt-lottes and ntsc don't work.
>>
What's the retroarch pkg people are using these days?

Fucking love Lords of Thunder, though it's definitely harder than Gate and the armors aren't well balanced

The PC Engine was such a good console, glad those Legend of Xanadu 1 and 2 translations are coming out soon

That's probably why. They don't bother with these unless it's on PC or maybe PSX if you're lucky.

I'll be getting a job soon. Got an interview with the zoo lined up, all I need to do is practice smiling and I've got the job.

But that's besides the point.

Because of this show I now can't avoid calling the systems "megadora" and "dorikyasu". They roll off the tongue so well.

I haven't played them all but the few others I've played (Soul hackers and Nocturne) are just like that where you get past a certain point and just enough options open up to allow you to get into a groove with the combat and enjoy the story more.

They are indeed. MTI&II are underrated and underplayed, even amongst Megaten fans. You're doing a good thing starting with the original, and MTII is even better.
>>
>>3971821
I played through MT1 like a month ago and plan on starting with the sequel soon.
Only thing that really disappointed me was how few demons you can fuse when compared to the newer games.

what are the strategies for this?

It seems like I cant get past the gray robots without getting fucked as soon as I make it to a new screen since they shoot fast diagonal shots

is there a specific order to exit screens so the enemy placement isnt against you? Very rarely, Ive had screens where there's only a few on screen far away from me, so I can plan accordingly and deal with them

Nah, it's pretty much just random. Unfortunately the 2600 version is pretty much the worst compared to 5200 or Vectrex. but you just have to learn the angles till you can fire as soon as you come around a corner.
>>
>>3970194

why was the artwork for 2600 cartridges always so good? it made the NES's laughable cartridges look like shit by comparison

In thread from before i already uploaded the "8-Bit Music Power Book"-CD:
>>3951137

Today i want to share the "KiraKira Star Night DX - Perfect Book"-CD. This time they also managed to make a clean CD, means the CD-Image should mount properly.

BIN-CUE:

Files Only:
https://mega.nz/#!4PpTDLSS!ieEaRmLJC4GwrywcU5HAspLtaf0ddimDEad809rV1EE

Hope you appreciate.

As mentioned before, when i get the cards to me, i will dump and share those too.

Anyway, this was also mentioned in the KirKira book:
http://progressivegames.wixsite.com/ys42/game

Sadly you can only download the Demo-NES-ROM file there. Hope the full version appears somewhere/sometime too.
