Is there any info online about Elder Gate? It's a playstation RPG directed by Koji Igarashi. ANd it'd god awful most bland shit ever. It was a total commercial failure, and Iga was banned from directing after that. Or so I heard. Any truth to this?

OP here, didn't want to clog up the OP with this question. Just looking for some advice.
Sort of a simple question too, about PSX on retroarch. For the record I usually use real hardware and copies of games from my collection, but the PGXP piqued my interest and I found a fork addition for mednafen/Beetle on retroarch. However there are issues.
PGXP for whatever reason is only supported, as far as I can tell, by PCSX-R and retroarch. Both versions seem to hardly work. PCSX-R loses its settings and PCXP capabilities after you attempt to tweak some settings. Retroarch seems to crash a lot after changing raw emulator options, and when you finally stop it from crashing after changing settings there are a mess of graphical issues (that I could see other people not having).
Anyone know of a fix for PGXP for either emulator? I don't really do emulation anymore, but for 15+ years of using emulators I know enough to know it has to be something simple I missed.
