Who is your favorite Belmont?
>>4027007
RichterLeon
>>4027007
I kind of like Richter's magnificent brand of unbridled wrath
Richter's original design is pretty awesome, story wise I think Richter's saga holds up the best too. Other than that I would say Simon is pretty cool just for how good the original and IV are.
>Hating one of the best platformers of all time because of a sound effect
This is, quite possibly, the most pleb opinion I have ever heard.
especially because hearing said noise means your sucking at the game, and the game has air tight controls. git gud
>>4026370
I don't hate Yoshi's Island because of a sound effect.
I hate it because it's fucking boring and bad.
>>4026384
I've got a hatchet with your dicks name on it
What's the most replayable PS1 RPG, Anon?
Mario is a replayable game. It takes about 40 minutes to an hour to beat casually. An RPG that takes 50+ hours to beat is not replayable. The genre does not lend itself to it. Unless you like the game, they're not replayable.
>>4021743
Your mom is not replayable.
Vagrant Story
Diablo
Chlorine Cross
Caught Alien fever. Has the franchise spawned any good retro games?
Alien 3 for the SNES and Genesis
AvP for the Arcades
AvP for PC
Alien Resurrection for the PSX
>>4017417
Alien 3 is pretty bad. AVP is pretty good.
>>4017412
Alien Trilogy on PS1
What are some good retro disney games?
2d and 3D stuff, nintendo, sega or sony console based games, please no > muh Alladin SNES vs GENESIS wars
Sega and Capcom's games are my favorites: Quackshot, Illusion series, Magical series, Ducktales, Chip & Dale, Goof Troop.
Even The Little Mermaid on NES is pretty damn fun.
Here's a obscure one: Donald Duck no Mahou no Boushi on Super Famicom.

Almost all 8- and 16-bits games developed by Capcom or Sega of Japan are at least decent.
Avoid games developed by Sega of America (Fantasia, Tale Spin).
I've played a few diablo clones - namely Marvel Heroes and the two Torchlights, but never the root series itself. Is pic related really as amazing as I've always heard it is?
>>4015026
Diablo 1 was better.
>>4015026
use the search famiglia
also, play d1 first, windowed and no HD mod, later try the patches and mods around
after play D2 without the expansion first for a unautistic and fun experience, when you feel like being a hamster spinning an endless wheel get into D2LOD, and save this for then:
if not online at battlenet ladder, instal "Plugy" to enable all ladder exclusive rare itens on single player, and edit yourself a charm for much increased chance of itens so you get to play with Sets and cool stuff before the sun goes cold. also edit an endless stamina charm or some weapon with teleport charges, but just use it for backtracking long paths because fuck wasting time, but be sure to not use it otherwise for the cool moments where you bite more than you can chew and you cant run away
>>4015420
>Plugy
also plugy gives you infinite "pages" in the chest (basecamp inventory), theres no sense in torturing yourself in singleplayer, the small chest was only viable when the game was teeming with online funplay
Post and discuss truly one-of-a-kind games. Explain what makes them so distinctive.

You first.

Read the file name

I don't get it. Both spellings are acceptable.

That still explains nothing about the game.
well shit, how did I not know about this?
looks interesting

Plenty of discussion about it in /doom/
Looks like a decent port, but it's still ironing out some issues.
>>4012893
>written in Java
Absolutely disgusting.
>>4012893
Not touching this until I get a three 1500 character essay by NESfag confirming it's worth our time.
What went wrong?
This one won't be as successful. We pretty much all agree that it was still right on fleek.
inb4 this post alone stirs up some contrarians
>>4011057
Nothing. My only gripe with the game is that there are so few zombie models. It's perfect outside of that.
>it's an "OP gets butthurt because of the CV sux thread and desperately tries to fight back" episode
Post terrible /vr/ related products
Too many to list, it'd be a -lot- quicker to list the not terrible ones.
In before someone posts any one Nintendo system.
At least post a better picture OP
>Stretches 4:3 native to 16:9, and you can't do shit about it
What's the best game from the Dragon Quest series and why its V ?
>>4017734
Well OP youre right so thread is over
good thread folks
DQIII because of the female Sage (which I named Jun).
>pipe house
What did Mario mean by this?
>>4031225
Obviously it's the house where Mario "lays the pipe"
Fuck you anon for stealing my joke
>>4031225
>it's a "the japanese use English in ways native English speaks find amusing" episode
Astute observation, OP, your post has been upboated.
Will it ever return
In theory, about 90% of the consoles have not even been sold to consumers yet.

What's the best SOTN version? I want to start this game but I have the following choices: PS, Saturn, PSP Dracula X bonus and XBLA. Wich one with provide me the best experience?
they all acceptable, bra.
saturn has the secret garden and kung fu maria
psp/360/ps3 has rondo maria and a new writing and voice work
the rest of the additions frankly don't matter
Saturn is also full of lag and bad loading times. There is nothing wrong with the Playstation original.
Maria mode is so short and easy I honestly don't see what the fuzz is all about.
Are there any retro sidescrollers where just touching an enemy doesn't harm you? I want to play one where they actively need to be shooting or throwing a punch for you to take damage.
Not counting fighting games, I know fighting games do this already. Also not counting Mario games, where jumping on top of them doesn't hurt you. I mean running up to an enemy side-by-side to them. So pic not related
DID YOU KNOW
