translation never ever
Learn JapaneseThough someone did start a translation project but last I checked in hasn't been update in months but I haven't checked in a while
is this the only squaresoft game that remains untranslated?

There are a ton, like Racing Lagoon.
Please put your nostalgia aside for a moment.
Which is better looking? 2D Capcom sprites OR the current 3D models?
>>4037413
They're both fine
As long as the art style is cool both can get the job done
>>4037413
The sprites.
No matter how detailed and fluid 3d models become they will never look like they've had the painstaking hours of detail poured into it that sprites do. I understand that technically there could be more work done to the 3d models, but they just don't look man made, they all look like their base is automatically generated instead of each character starting from scratch. This may not be the case, but it's what they look like to me.
I don't even like these games and I'll say that the 2D art in the Marvel Vs Capcom games has always been some of the most impressive visuals I've ever seen, but then I look at the 3D games and I think "Well now it just looks like every other 3D fighting game ever"
Did you know that Inafune not only created Mega Man, but is the reason Resident Evil was a success?

Don't trust that translation. They mix up the whole context.

Here is the Japanese original.

This is what Google Translate spits out:
>Everyone can make hits! "Rockman" "Onimusha" Birth, Charisma Creator 's Job Surgery that Made "Monster Hunter" "Biohazard" Succeeded
It seems to be saying the same thing.

The word order is important.
Which one do you typically? Also, what's your initial methodology when exploring a new area?
For me:
> Always center
> When given a left/right choice, always walk left until reaching back to start, then do one layer in / repeat.
It literally don't matter, RNGs don't work that way.

You can save state and repeatedly pick the same chest and your prize will be different every time.
http://www.the-interweb.com/serendipity/index.php?/archives/127-Toad-Houses-Disassembled.html
> So yeah, basically what happens is this. Depending on what Toad House you are in you receive different items. If the identifier of the Toad House you are in is between 1 and 5 you will always receive the same item (like the Frog Suit, no matter what box you pick, in the first Toad House of World 3). Toad Houses with higher IDs offer three random items. What item you receive is determined only after you open a box. So, in fact only the box you open is filled. The other two boxes are never touched. They are total smoke screens whose only purpose is to fool the player into believing he actually takes part in the decision what item to receive.
Okay, let's get this right once for all

Is there any consistent storyline in the Zelda series?
I'm just getting into this series, never having owned a Nintendo system in my childhood. I like the first game, but I want to jump around to some later ones. I assume I won't be missing much?
>>4036681
>Is there any consistent storyline in the Zelda series?
Yes.Ganon gets released/revived and a Princess named Zelda gets kidnapped, so some random dude in a green tunic named Link shows up and ends up going through dungeons to collect gear and MacGuffins to finally reach Ganon and fight him, using the Master Sword and Light Arrows to defeat him and free Zelda.
Then everyone lives happily ever after until the next time Ganon comes back.
No. There IS some consistent (and lots of inconsistent) iconography from game to game that some people notoriously including the authors of Hyrule Historia have tried to organize into a grand epic but I'm sure the original devs just did it superficially.
We should have a thread where we attempt to create the most ridiculous possible version of these for prolific game series like Point Blank or something.
>>4036814
Attempting to piece together a valid timeline from clusterfucks like Zelda involving timetravel and alternate dimensions, is just fun. Imagine doing it with a mess like the entire DC universe, and it's an impossible task, but I admire the dedication.
Where did Lavos go in 2300ad?
>>4036678
To another planet. It's what Lavos does.
>>4036685
Then what are the Lavos babies for?
>>4036694
So that they can keep feeding of earth and then fuck off to space and become more Lavos when they get big and strong.
Do you think Bubsy could of been a decent series if they didn't try so hard to combine Sonic speed and Mario platforming?
>>4036105
>could of
No.
>>4036105
Maybe. The 2nd game is not really as good as the first, they added a lot more stuff but it lost a lot of the platforming charm.
The 3D game was just terrible and killed the series, they should have done like Rayman instead.
You need to tell me which one of these three games has the best soundtrack.
2, even though I don't like Stickerbrush Symphony.
2 is also my vote

So Ive played plenty of zelda over the past 30 years, but i never played these two games. i just completed them both and they were really great.
i played ages first and then seasons and did the majority of the important "linked" secrets.
I think I enjoyed seasons a little more, but who knows how i would feel if i had played them in reverse order.
fuck tokays
Seasons might be the best GBC game. Ricky's the man.
Thought they were both pretty weak and boring, but they weren't bad by any measure. It really felt to me like they were just trying to push out new Zelda games for anything quickly to print more cash.
All jokery aside, is Sonic Adventure a good game?
>>4035964
It's only bad if you intentionally run into walls which youtubers do to make a "top lel hilarious video".
Was ok for the time. Games DO age.
I'll always be resentful with the Adventure series because it reminds me of the time Sega went down, went third party and Sonic went to Nintendo.
When pic related came out I was so infuriated.A few years ago I bought a Gamecube and loved SA2B and all the other Sega games on it, I stopped being a console war baby, but it still hurt back then.

None of the work, bro

What
Already tried Snes9x Euphoria?
Just found out Disneyquest is closing on July 3rd. I remember going as a kid and I remember it being pretty fucking hype. Shame it's being phased out in favor of normalfag shit. Anyone else remember it?
>>4035417
Noooooo!
I think that was their last holdout in the parks
Downtown Disney still has games at their EPSN/sports bar shit
The Contemporary hotel still has a small arcade with ski-ball and a few games
During the golden age, Disney had the best arcades
Disney World used to have an arcade on Main St and always had the newest in electronic amusements
I got to play this one (pic) in the 70s
It was massively multiplayer for it's time
>to make way for the NBA Experience
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
FUCKING NORMIES
>>4035417
I fucking remember it being so good.
Wish there were more places where you paid once at the door and all the stuff is free.
