Are you sure it wasn't some other sonic game? Sonic Spinball perhaps?
>>

Maybe it was from Spinball or 3D Blast? That game has an amazing OST

I'm very sure it wasn't any of the spin-offs but I've listened through the OST's just to be sure and the song wasn't there either.

The song you linked is dope though

I never played it on the N64. Really liked the DS version though, except using a D-pad really sucks.

I know this is /vr/ but unlike Ocarina of Time, Mario 64 has not aged well at all.

It was huge for the 3D platformer sub-genre which is ultimately on life-support now but honestly, nearly every single game that released after it has surpassed it in nearly every single aspect.
Games like Mario Galaxy fixed the mediocre camera, streamlined the platforming, fixed the momentum-based movement.
Games like Rayman 2 were more inventive and did the same.
Banjo Kazooie had better variety in level design.
Unlike games like Ocarina of Time and Doom which still have their solid mechanics and inspired art direction, Mario 64 has nothing.

Why do people lose their shit at me when I say I don't like Super Metroid or Super Mario World?

They're just not my cup of tea, I've always preferred JRPG's on the SNES.

Is there any way to send games to a floppy disk from a modern computer? Like can I download the game, put it on a floppy, and run it in my Apple ii? Also, is there any cheaper alternative to a control stick?
35 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>4236742
Yes! Also it's quite easy.
http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/

Any questions?
Also, what Apple II do you have?
>>
>>4236742
You can but not bothering with the actual floppy best way to go. An analog stick, some buttons and a few other bits is cheaper alternative.
>>
>>4236930
Apple II floppy emulators are no less bothersome than just having your things on a floppy and uselessly expensive.
Just writing your own floppies with ADTPro (you can use both sides you know) and swapping between them is far easier, or if you have the memory, just mount floppy images straight from the computer over serial with ADTPro.

Cauldron 1&2 had such great artwork, as was usually the case with Palace software. Shame they never made the transition to 16 bit.

Jack the Ripper on spectrum & c64 is an especially morbid & gory text adventure by the kinky oddballs at St Brides

Why not play it in Dosbox instead? ChocDoom offers literally no advantages.

Got a Neo Geo Pocket Colour a few weeks ago, what are the best games for the system besides the obvious ones (Sonic, King of Fighters R2, Biomotor Unitron, Puzzle Bobble etc.)?

The library is small but gold.

>Dark arms:beast buster is a cool shooting game
>Faslei is a mech RTS
>Densha de go! 2 port is a cool port of the train simulator arcade game
>Melon-chan's growth diary is a cute and fun little game where you can watch a girl named melon-chan grow up
>Metal slug games are unique and aren't just ports
>Samurai shodown 2 and match of the millennium are wellmade fighting ports
>Cardfighters clash

Percentage wise, the ngpc has the most games worth playing than any retro system. The clicky stick is also awesome

Haven't had one in a couple years unfortunately, I've had to emulate them
