Don't give advice if you obviously don't give a shit about the series

UPDATE: Found a dump of Remote Presence (Shuwa System, 2000), need to test it and see if it works.
List of missing games / still undumped:
- Zeddas / Horror Tour 3: Labyrinthe (I know, someday, somebody said that it was available on RW but that info was not 100% accurate as nobody could confirm that)
- Roly Poly 1 and 2 (Osamu Sato games, still not found)
- Obelisk: Project Oscar
- Blue Sango
- Noah's Ark
- Putle Story (JP Title: ピュートルストーリー - Interactive adventure)
- Pantos Story (JP Title: パントス ストーリー - Sequel to Putle Story)
- Kasei Keikaku 1 (火星計画 - Have 1 dump but audio tracks are missing T_T, game works)
- Kasei Keikaku 2+3 (Purchased and waiting to ship that one to me)
- Sequence Palladium 2 (JP version, already have Korean and Chinese dumps but sad to know the original language is not possible to find at all by now).
- Chipper/Strawberry Magic 2 English and Japanese editions
- Refixion III
Console games still undumped (in construction, if anyone knows more just say it):
- Delisoba Deluxe
Here we go again with old lost media!
You might also consider reaching out to the Game Preservation Society in Japan, they're an NGO that is dedicated to preserving as many Japanese PC games as possible. They may be able to tell you if certain things are in fact known to exist.
But beyond that, what other places are good to look?
17/07 UPDATE:
Have Sequence Palladium 2 (JP original release) dump already, got really lucky with that one this time, phew!
I'll test it straight and if it's OK, will be soon available through theIsoZone with 1 and 3 JP releases.

Yeah, have a contact of mine that went to interview them and I hope in the future they'll open more to people, as for now they're only accepting some scans donations and few more things, they're pretty busy archiving what they've got and that's why I decided to wait a little more till they're comfortable enough to take 'requests'.
About other places... I've been through a lot of 'googling' and the places that everybody knows of, but also patient enough to find any working links or purchase stuff and dump it. P2P is another alternative, even a week ago I went to eMule, and that's where I found that S.Palladium 2 (Chinese) dump.
I'll keep updating, so if anyone wants to join here we are on our quest!
I want a Loom sequel.
I played that on TurboGrafx it was pretty neat

Can we have a nice Commodore 64 thread?
Pic related was my first introduction to gaming. Got it in 1988 I think, when I was 5.
What were some classic games? I had loads of games but no sure if I played any of the classics.
Games I remember owning:
Batman
Rolling Thunder
Turrican
Toobin
Shinobi
Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja
Some game about ancient Rome/Greece where you were killing skeletons/medusas
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Hey /vr/, I've started looking into the Sega Saturn and was wanting some recommendations. I'm currently playing Burning Rangers (via SSF) and Panzer Dragoon (Real Saturn). Any other recommendations?
NiGHTS into dreams and Christmas NiGHTs.

If you haven't gotten an action replay yet, do that. Imports are the best part of the saturn library. Here's some cheap(er) games to start with:
>steamgear mash
>twinbee deluxe pack
>sky target
>clockwork knight 1 & 2
>dynamite deka (die hard arcade)
>layer section
>x-men children of the atom
>willy wombat
>virtual on
If you're emulating and not bothering with secondhand games:
>astal
>guardian heroes
>legend of oasis
>radiant silvergun
>three dirty dwarves
>blast wind
>elevator action returns
>guardian force
>rabbit
>purikura daisakusen
What are the cheapest retro games that every collection should have?

Ranger X on Genesis
For cart only you can get it for around $6. Hidden Gem, really shows off what the Genesis was capable of. Very fun and creative gameplay.
Super Mario Land for GB
SMB+DH for NES
Combat for Atari 2600
That's all I can think of but I'm sure there's a lot more
>>4123997
MK2 for either Genesis or SNES.
Street Fighter II Turbo for SNES.
Sonic 2 (yeah, I went there).
Super Mario Bros and Zelda (NES)
Pac-Man for NES (Tengen or Namco, they're the same)

When you want to go to it.
I need your help. There was a game on the ps1. I only ever played a demo of it. It was an RPG. the demo was set on a space station about to be hit by an asteroid or something and you had to talk to people to get items and get the shields up. I cannot for the life of me think of the name of this game. Help. Please.

I love you
Microsoft, the best publisher in the '90s.
All Games, Edutainment, Reference works welcome.
Currently playing: Pandora's Box, a maximum-comfy puzzle game. It's was largely overlooked at the time, pretty rare now and most definitely worth playing
Mind Maze, within Encarta
Now who didn't enjoy this?
Does anyone have experience in buying arcade machines (and maybe more specifically an MVS). One popped up for sale near me and it's sort of my holy grail but I have a few qualms about it and have no real experience in this.
The listing I am looking at is a Dynamo cab which I understand based on some searching isn't original but the guts are a real MVS. Should I not worry as long as the monitor is the right size as the real thing?
Depends on what you're worried about
>>4122501
Lots of experience. Only things you should worry about is how well/if it works and how much the previous memester is going to overcharge you.
I wouldn't pay more than $300 unless it comes with some choice mvs carts. A dedicated MVS cab shouldn't run you more than $500.
Also check the monitor and make sure it's in good working order too. Any issues with the monitor, hard pass on it, it's not worth the hassle.
Whats a good, relatively cheap tv that's good for retro gaming? I currently play on a hdtv and nes games are super blurry and snes games have huge black borders.
>>4122425
Any crt?
Do thrift shops near you still carry old tvs?
>>4122425
Look on the curbs on trash day or look on Craigslist. Sony trinitrons are good if you find them.
Looking for two particular PC games I used to play as a kid. Pretty sure they were released in the 90s as my brother and I played them in about 2001 and our older cousins had them before us.
GAME 1
It was a possibly British point-and-click sort of game. I think the aim was to collect colourful numbers to built a rocket. Some part of it was set in an attic. At one point there is a goose and a cow sitting next to each other. The goose says 'silly cow' and the cow says 'silly goose'.
GAME 2
Another definitely British game that has less of a storyline. There is a character who is a blue cartoon rabbit that looks like a clip art Bugs Bunny. There is a colouring-in part of the game, a part where you search for objects in a scene while the rabbit says things like 'you're getting CLOSER' in a really creepy juvenile voice. I also remember a scene where a mum giraffe and a child giraffe are in a doctor's waiting room. The young giraffe says 'mum, where's the ketchup?' and the mum replies 'we're here for a CHECKUP, not ketchup' or something.
Anyway, I was very young when playing these so sorry for the sporadic descriptions. If you can't identify these games please help me out and tell me where else to post this.
The second one is called Buns the Buttfucker.
So what system has the best version of this game?
I guess the answer always is the one you played as a kid.
>>4122219
Amstrad.
Really good of you to post the name of the game so people can discuss it.
