I just finished X/Y
What the fuck was that?
>The lack of her in the story
>Just an actress
Worst Champion ever?
At least the theme is ok i guess.
What? You expected her to use a team of 6 pseudos?
What would they taste like?
I kind of like that she wasn't around that much story wise. It gave her a little bit more air of mystery as to who she really was, unlike Steven's shoehorned "lol I'm helping XDD" moments that made it obvious he was the Champion.
Why wasn't the battle like one of those weird black and white French movies?
What if she were a crazy failed actress?
...But Aurorus fits her style.
And it's not like all the champions have 6 fitting pokémon.
Don't do it, I know where you are going with this but don't do it.
DO NOT GROPE THE GARDEVOIR AFTER THE BATTLE!
Cynthia is weird, she really wants your attention so much so that she finds her way in other games
if the 3rd games of past versions are any indication, Her relevance to the plot line will increase in Z.
mostly because I predict Malva will become the enemy team leader and Diantha will get to work in hunting her former colleague.
also Korrina will take Malva's spot.
>Forretress used Bug Bite!
>Mega Gardevoir fainted!
Where will you be when she's demoted to only appearing at Pokestar Studios to play corny rolls like Brycen-Man's henchwoman?
I'd say the opposite, she stands out a ton.
As soon as I saw her I instantly thought "she's the Champion." And then I was correct.
She looks as a gijinka mega absol.
>Worst Champion ever
Any Champion or E4 member who's entire life doesn't revolve around Pokemon, and they have like, another job, actress, etc. are automatic trash. That's like an MLB star who also plays soccer or plays in a rock band.
Were they trying to go for like a " I'm so god at Pokemon I dont even need to try" kind of vibe? Cause it just seemed lazy to make her champion without any buildup other than
Movie star and friends of the professor and Lysander
Hope next game has a lot of possible candidates for champ and it's a real surprise for who's champ.
i think it's just that XY are rushed at fuck and didn't give Diantha any screen time doing anything.
I hope Z fixes that and give her character rather than bring in a new champ
who ,if it happens, will most likely be Korrina since she's the only other prominent character in XY
I don't dislike Diantha, I think she's fine as champion. Like a lot of NPCs from XY, they just need a little character. Korrina was good because her personality was fleshed out, doing that with the gym leaders and e4 members would go a long way towards making the game better.
Or here's an idea, AZ is champion and his signature pokemon is Eternal Floette. I think that'd be fun.
None of the Pokemon games have ever been rushed. First games of a generation are almost always lacking. Then they fix it in the third version or sequels and everyone stops crying.
unlike Max who only existed as a namless NPC sprite
Bonnie is an actual character in the games, nonetheless her becoming champion is too fart-etched
It's definitely a thing where having a preference for older gens can only stem from nostalgia. Having the resources to make every city and town aesthetically unique goes a long way to having a region you actually want to explore. Playing X and Y I never felt more motivated to keep going just to see what the next area looked like.
The worst champion hands down.
>the most anticlimactic champion fight ever
>has the personality of a carrot
>ugly as all fuck design
God damn, Diantha was such a missed opportunity for a french champion.
I would've been a bit more okay with the lack of story role if they'd just outright told you she was the champion as soon as you meet her. Then I probably would've suspected a bait and switch like with Alder and been surprised when it turns out there was no catch to it.
