Ash can never enter into a relationship because it would mean the status quo was changed and maybe he can have some progression and closure in his fucking life. Same reason why he never wins.
Because of this he's a total retard and his relationships with female characters are one-sided and doomed to never go anywhere. He is literally written like that on purpose.
So it makes sense his relationships with pokemon are better.
What I don't understand is why does it hurt to make Ash win at least once? They stated in the anime that there's another league after the Pokemon League.
They could at the least have him lose in the Champion's League. He would still go on to his next adventure regardless of the outcome.
>Meloetta will never twerk for you
They actually are. Once they create an "iconic" character they are terrified of changing it and then nips say "wtf what happened to _____ DROPPED" which actually happens quite a lot.
This is the reason Gohan is a loser in DBZ while Goku is still the main character and he's voiced by the same woman who voiced him since he was 10.
Now I don't know if people actually fucking like Ash but look at how people even on this board talk about whether or not his redesign is better and bitch about Serena's haircut and imagine it with 10x the autism, and that's what Nintendo is scared of provoking.
It would mean some shit changed in his life, which means the plot would actually move, meaning there's pressure to have it go somewhere, and maybe it could actually end.
>You never could feel a bad touch of Gardevoir.
That's a good point about the iconic characters in particular. At the same time, Japan's pokemon fanbase seems less autistic if their favorite pokemon poll choices are anything to go by. If it happens maybe they'll get over it. Particularly if it's a reboot with its own feel.
