I caught Zekrom, Infernape, and Sharpedo on my 1st encounter
Why the fuck are the weaker shitlings (Cherrim, Carvanha) harder to catch? God fucking damn this is fucking bullshit I was able to catch Zekrom at 13% unlike Cherrim at over 30 fucking percent in my 10th try
Its called pseudorandom senpai
Catch Zekrom with 39%
Try to Catch Gogoat, escapes 5 great balls at 69% (itemless and super catch).
I'm on 3ds and can get my coins back for great balls. But still this was some serious bullshit. I wouldn't have caught it after the 2nd greatball and just wanted to see how long this bullshit would get
>Asked a question about a stage last thread
>Devolved into "3DS vs mobile" faggotry
>Question never got answered
Stay classy, /shuffle/
>Why the fuck are the weaker shitlings (Cherrim, Carvanha) harder to catch?
The idea is that because they're more common, you'll run into them more and naturally make up for their higher failure rate over a greater number of attempts.
In other words, they're harder to catch because they're easier to find. For the rare ones, it's the opposite.
I was the one that asked about M-Charizard for mobile Genesect last thread. Guide only mentioned Gengar, Aero, and Blaziken so I was came here to ask if Charizard wouldn't be good for an all items run. I'm hesitant to use M-Aero
Would it be a good idea to go after the event mons aside from Safari if:
>I only made it up to Mega Mawile on the main stages
>I unlocked up to Swampert on the Expert stages
>I caught all of the Pokemon in those Expert stages except Blaziken
Or should I not bother?
So, is there a certain way I should be using the M-Blaziken team? I know it's supposed to be good but whenever I use Mega Chicken, it's mega effect barely ever combos and when it does it is like a 2 or 3 combo. How do I get it to blow up the board like it apparently does (I've seen this happen like once)?
You make sure you run a complete fire team, you want Delphox for the Pyre ability, and you want to hope the Pyre activates the chicken's mega ability during it for the maximum amount of damage.
The thing with Blaziken is it's very random with how well it's going to do, sometimes it's completely against you while other times you get nonstop chicken combos.
I've caught it itemless using M-Aero, but that was on 3DS and I'm pretty good at timed stages. Haven't tried Charizard on it but I feel like if you're going all items it won't matter what you use, you'll be fine as long as you practice beforehand.
It's incredibly luck based. Best tip I can give is unless most of the open fire types on the board will cause a combo of Blaziken if swapped, don't make a mega match. It's like Gengar where it's more effective if you don't match it and instead combo into it with a lot on board.
I haven't finished S-ranking and catching all the new stages and I'm already under 20000 coins. I suppose preparing for Kyurem is the better choice right now, but I'm mad.
They should have waited another week for the escalation battle after an update so big. I hope we'll never see something like this again.
>OP doesn't have the HP graph.
OP really is a shit this time.
The graph is identical for 3DS and mobile.
>one minute to deal 55k damage on a 5(4 mon stage if you take away one with c-1) stage where the disruptions will hold your flow after the second half
Welp, not gonna even bother with stage 250-300
>Grinding Delphox, Arceus, and Regigigas on Ampharos and trying out Mega Fug.
>mfw all those pesky Flaffy icons vanish.
Also... Should I go with a Pyre team (Filler Mega, Don't have Blaziken or Zard, Delphox, Ho-Oh, Heatran.) or Double Normal (Lopunny, Arceus, Regigigas, Porygon2) for the escalation?
>mfw flaafy fag
>mfw my training experiene is better than yours
Fucking magic hit point, every fucking time.
Yeah, it's demanding a score that would assure you a 3-digit placement in a competition (which have nothing close to disruption faggotry that an escalation stage has). What the hell.
Sharpedo was a fucking bitch to find I must've tried the safari at least 50 times before I encountered him ONCE. That being said he's piss easy to beat and catch, but keep 3500 coins just in case
>see Victini Special Stage
>"Hey, maybe I could grind my team to be strong enough to beat Mega Mawile!"
>go back to Mega Mawile
>get my ass handed to me
for your information i'm doing this itemless.
Whoa, awesome! I just entered the code and got the coins.
absolutely shat on this little fucker today.
How do I Xerneas on mobile?
Do I have to shell out C-1, MS and T+10 to catch him? I want one for Sharpedo and I'm too far behind to acquire Gardevoir and Florges.
I've already tried Mawile, Gengar and Lucario as Megas. It seems that even a decent leveled Bronzong, Dialga and Steelix ain't cutting it.
>went all items to beat and S Rank Deoxys
>beat it with about 20 moves left
>fail to catch it at 37%
>catch rate goes up to 70%
>Greatball misses, it doesn't even shake, as soon as Deoxys goes in the ball it comes out
>throw a second Greatball
What a fucking cunt, making me waste a Greatball
>trying to catch gothitelle
>can't beat it itemless even with shufflemove
I already S-ranked this cunt anyway, so I'll just pretend it doesn't exist and ignore the hole in my dex for now.
>can't beat greninja because all of my grass and electric mon are level 5 and i'd rather train whatever grass 3 muskeeter is called
>can't be assed to score enough S in order to unlock him
>even if i unlocked him, i have no M-Blaziken to kick his ass because LOL Mobile
>can't beat mr mime because no darkrai
i'm getting really annoyed and frustated at the game
>buy an Attack Power for Zekrom
>decide not to use ShuffleMove
>17% chance, kinda meh but it certainly will be enough
>buy Great Ball
I have so much salt in my veins right now.
>can't beat mr mime because no darkrai
Absol works decently for that stage. As long as you can get Mind Zap to go off once, it's perfectly manageable.
There are a good number of easy S-Ranks from 231-240 and 261-299.
yeah i ended up sucking it, abusing the shit out of shufflemove on a bunch of stages for easy S ranks, unlocked virizion and caught him on my second attempt with M-Heracross (i swear, he likes make the whole screen explode)
joke on you, i only like to use the pic because it perfectly express my feels toward the game and it's fanbase
>mfw S rank and catch no items or great balls first try
It's been a long time since this happened frequently. What is this feeling? Is it
>kyurem starts in a day, will drain a lot of coins and most hearts for the next 2 weeks
>not finished with new main stages
what comes after better not be too bad
So I currently have 97k coins, and have unlocked M-Ray but can't beat it itemless obviously. Should I go for the S rank now and go into the craziness of next week at less than max coins? Or should I just sit tight and wait for kyurem?
I want Meowth to have another stage. Even if it's not longer to allow for more coins, I'd still be happy just so long as I don't have to scroll back to 37 every time. Though if they made it have the mobile disruptions I'd just go back anyway I guess.
M-Medicham is correct
literally git gud, that's not impossible at all
for 300 you have to go all items and this makes it so much easier and hence matches will be everywhere
competitions on the other hand are designed to be hard even, if you go full items
On timed competitions you can buy C-1, DD and AP. On 300 you have all those plus the +10 which adds to the 50 seconds to make it 1 minute like the competitions and MS which only adds a bit as you will probably have candies on your Mega to Mega Evolve it fast. The only advantage over competitions is that you can use a Jewel or two to get extra time.
It's demanding a score that would assure you a 3-digit placement in a competition with similar parameters. And a competition would dump far less bullshit on you the moment DD expired than any major escalation stage would or has done.
I don't know what magical land you live in where the comparison is otherwise.
Its like they dont even try anymore
Europeans for example need to place under 1200 most of the time to get the candy. So getting the candies from 300 needs similar gidding gud. Its only fair
and not hard
>tfw want fairies
>stopped at Vivilon
>no M-Steelix yet on mobile
>have to use all items on Xerneas and two great balls at 74%
>Florges and Gardevoir are still far away
The newer stages have useful 70BP mons and I'm here grinding what 70-80BP Pokemon that I have before I move forward
I don't have enough S-ranks yet to unlock Genesect (which would be impossible without M-Chicken and C-1) plus the Musketeer trio which would be nice to have with their PO4+
>tfw you are just at deoxys from the main stages and only at heracros from the ex stages
will i ever catch up?
If you can beat Deoxys, probably. Other than megafug, everything after Deoxys is refreshingly easy. You could get it done in two days itemless without much difficulty.
It might take you a bit longer to S-Rank everything but there's nothing actually worth S-Ranking anything for immediately anyway since everything after Gallade is whatever.
First time for Mobile. Very interesting
>2 Mega Speed ups at 300
But also not bat shit insane.
>dubs of 33
>3 dubs in a row
>attempt to s-rank megafug
>fuck it, let's use all items
>accidentally gimp my team by removing goodra instead of homodeer
>dancing dragons never activates a single time anyway
At least I got the S-Rank, I guess...
I don't get it, why release Zekrom AND Kyurem, and not release Reshiram?
And why the fuck has there not been a M-Blastoise repeat yet? It's the only Stone I'm missing, because I was not gud at the time.
>15 levels into the escalation and I still haven't captured Kyurem
I know it's an inevitability since I'm aiming for 300, but watching it escape over and over again is SO INFURIATING.
because 10.5 just hit and it updated the NVer to 30.
10.3 and 10.4 had 28 and 29 respecitvely. But you could check in with 28 despite 29 being out.
But with this update only NVer 30 can go online.
Kyogre came before Rayquaza came before Groudon.
Who fuckin knows, do you remember how they did the Regis?
Why is it infuriating? You're guaranteed to catch it eventually, you have nothing to gain by getting it earlier, this is the one time where it's fun to NOT catch something and see how many tries it can take to finally get it.
That makes sense, thanks for explaining.
To everyone not being able to check-in: Update 3ds to latest fw to get NNID access. You need to be on 10.5-30 E/J/U
If you can not update due to emunand or whatever reason...
You have to manually update your NVER to 30. (10.3 uses 28 and 10.4 uses 29). Only NVer 30 will access NNID. And yes this is only possible if you have an emunand to begin with.
Follow this tutorial http://pastebin.com/vWEFatcb
ALSO THE VERSION NUMBER FOR NVER 30 is now "480" and not "448" (448 is for 28)
If you have questions, come and visit us at /hbg/ >>>/vg/129869486
>implying you can escape from shuffle
good one senpai
What fw are you on btw?
If 10.3 or under: why havent you downgraded yet? There is nothing to lose. If it softbricks you can get easily to 10.5
If 10.4: literally makes no difference to not go 10.5
If 10.5: go play some shuffle :^)
It used to be M-Gengar, Arceus (for Double Normal) and 2 highest Normal Types.
- If Gengar is not effective and/or gets shut down by disruptions M-Aero or M-Blaziken. The mega really isnt that important. Just make sure it helps you keep the combo
- Also your 2 high BP normal types should be easily distinguishable. Thats why it might be better to use snorlax and lickylicky (instead of blissey)
Now it might shift to: M-Fug, Arceus, Regi and highes distinguishable normal type (snorlax/lickylicky/blissey)
I havent tested it yet but maybe M-Fug might be better than M-Gengar...
Also those teams are very hard to master and only for like the top100 players in the world.
Do not waste your items on this if you:
a) dont know what you are doing
b) dont have access to item save editing
The idea behind Double normal is that once it activates you make x2.5 damage instead of SE which is only x2
I don't know, M-Luke is doing pretty well for me. Kept beating Kyurem with 30+ seconds left. Then again, my Lucario is MAX
>3 stars for power of 5+ ice type
Also... Its a good idea to use those early levels (lets say up to 50) to grind lower leveled mons. Otherwise you might waste exp if all your mons are max
01 till 49 are fairly easy anon
I'm using Regirock (4), Ninetails (8), terrakion (3) and Emboar (7)
However I just hit 50 and oh boy itemless is a pain and I cant gid gud. what do
I rather waste my hearts on suffering itemless than to play with the cat to buy an easy win
also jokes on you since I'm a
However your calculation was right. A strong team and a single AP is enough to beat 50
board is like 41-49 but time is not 30s but 50s
You need to deal ~25k damage
I used M-Mawile toghether with Jirachi to get a fast Mega evolve. However after realising its rather unusual to get a early jirachi activation switched it for dialga since higher BP.
Also M-Mawile can easily combo.
Once he has 1/4 HP he spams a few barriers. nothing too bad imo
i tried this on one of the past escalations, you get next to no experience. all of stages 1-50(where you can get away with weaker stuff) felt like it gave me as much EXP as a single victini win.
You don't need a system update to get Kyurem, it's only for things that require the internet, so checking in for any future updates or the current Sharpedo competition. Kyurem was in last week's update, so you already have it.
Victini is 400 not 300
Besides, I have everything SE on worth training at max already, there's nowhere to not waste that EXP
M-Garchomp Ampharos becomes even better than it already is and basically nothing else changes besides Victini teams.
Might see fewer people using semi-shitmons though since without experience being wasted there's not much reason to bother training them.
all items with shufflemove and a strong team (around lv5) should be enough for stone and candy.
grind coins/level whatever
make your one and final all items run on sunday.
nope... check the OP
its a move based calculator giving you the best options for a certain board. It almost doubles your score if you are bad at this game/dont want to think so much
It does give more items, to be fair, Especially mega start and T+10 will help in this, and Mega Chicken slows down so you can match anyway. I have no idea if I'll be able to manage it, but I'm sure as hell gonna try it.
I caught it on 15, anon it'll come to you.
I've heard some people having good results with DN. I'm trying to practice for Double Normal myself. I've been winning so far but haven't hit any boss stage with it.
either mobile shitter (in which case HAHAHA) or cant read.
I said "icon that falls down". In the Titlescreen of the 3ds version, you can see various icons fall from top to bottom. And I saw Lucha Pikachu fall down, he looked like you would expect him to look like.
Nope. It was a yellow blob with yellow pointy ears and black tip, brown mask with white line in the middle (zigzag and some other symbol, couldnt make it out since it fell down fast and I was in shock) and it had the face of pikachu, which kinda led me to believe that this was lucha pikachu.
Every Pokémon in the dex isn't small.
Even if they added Lucha, He's not in the dex so he can't appear. The only way he could is if the icons that appear are based on what you've caught (it might be, I can't tell as my completion is too high) AND you hacked in all unreleased Pokémon.
So for this mega Sharpedo event; I played it yesterday and landed in the top 5000 and have since slided to 10k the past 24 hours. At this rate I should be fine to stay in the top 80k for the mega stone, but does it often speed up how far you fall exponentially, or should I be safe? I burned a lot of coins for all the power up cause fuck I want that stone and would rather not do it again.
kek mobilefag... questions like "HUR DUR AM I SAFE?!!?" are stupid to ask so early into the competition.
Just grind your mons to level 5, grind coins, play the game and whatever. Just wait till the last day and relax.
And only then you should worry and use items/shufflemove to improve your score
tl;dr: stop playing mobile
Hey man, I'm a teacher and I never have enough time to sit down and actually play my 3ds during the week whereas my cell phone is glued to my person so I can check my email.
Either way, thanks for the info.
I feel almost the same way. I don't agree that there are no megas worth of candies left, but timed stages aren't really my cup of tea so I'll stop at 50 or maybe 100 and go back to S-ranking the new stages I have left.
Stage 66, with MAXiken/Ho-Oh/Heatran/Phox. I-I also had to use an AP after 3 tries and a +10.
Stage 300's going to be rough.
just beated stage 50
first try, got him to 25% second try i just throw an AP+ and called it a day
team i'm using is M-Luke/Ho-Oh/Heatran/Dialga, not really the most "proper" team but it's the hardest hitting SE i own since they are almost leveled to max
i don't even know what M-Fug does, the description just make it looks like a lamer M-Mewtwo
you get rewards for beating certain level, mostly speedup for beating level 50,100,200 and 300
M-Fug description is
>Erases a Pokémon of a different type from Mega-Rayquaza (max 10).
M-Mewtwo description is
>Clears one kind of Pokémon with the same type as Mega-Mewtwo Y (max 10).
the only difference i'm seeing here is that mewtwo only works with psychic where fug works with "not dragons", as i said i don't know how he works other than this line of text that makes him sounds like he works like mewtwo
Mega-Fug is literally free C-2, since after activation it erases ten tiles of chosen non-dragon pokemon, and prevents itself from appearing in skyfall.
It's not lamer Mewtwo
It's Superior Mewtwo
Mega fug after being full candied puts Gengar into shadow.
Yes, but you get almost full board consisting only of two pokemon.
How big are chances that combo will not pick up?
And add to it that Fug is more versatile, since it's efficient for all types bar steel and fairy.
Do you guys think we'll get White and Black Kyurem?
You were able to catch all formes of Rotom at one point and the two formes of Keldeo.
50 itemless is hard to do anon.
I only managed it with an all-max team on my 7th try.
M-Mawile (all candies), Ho-oh, Tyrannitar, Dialga
AP should be enough for 50. May want to use a +10s if you feel unsure about gidding gud
Is after 50 alright or easier itemless? Didnt fail until reaching 50 itemless. Is it like usual escalations where around 50 and 70 there's a really tough stage to beat itemless then it's easy?
its all E Z P Z till 100
I could use my low leveled team to get some exp even. I only failed once since I realized to late I started already the next stage. kek
For 50 and 100 I had to use an all max team.
Like I wrote, 50 can be done itemeless if you gid gud. Otherwise need a AP (and maybe 10s to make sure)
And 100 I couldnt do itemless and went with an AP (the one the game gives you). Also if you cant gid gud maybe use a 10s just to make sure
suck it! just did it with M-Gengar10 Luke8 Conkledurr10 Machamp7 on second try (tried M-Medicham few times before, but that wasnt so hot)
you just gotta get the pummel going and not drop the combo once (ended up with 90ish combo)
good job senpai. I knew you could do it.
Maxed Fug is amazing anon. Its not as good as some might want it to look like, but it still combos like nothing. And there prolly wont be something better for a long time. Its similar to MMY in my opinion except with different types which makes it really great.
Saving up enough candies might take some time, since you need 20 candies
Only for first place, which is often filled by a Ditto, so thinking that the stone is never shown is far more understandable then thinking it shown for all 5.
Oh, a screenshot? I can take those too :^)
I was going off memory, because it's same spritesheet as Trozei Battle which had it. But it is in the OP, pkparaiso has it in the shuffle section.
