Why does it look so bad? Grovyle was at least kind of cool and didn't have balls on its back.

Why the fuck does it gain a dragon typing? And why does it get lightningrod as an ability? Doesn't make any damn sense.

Lightningrod kind of makes sense when you think of the motif of the Hoenn Starter Megas. They all have to do with speed one way or another.

Speed Boost, self explanatory, Swift Swim increases speed in rain, and Lightningrod + Grass typing makes M-Sceptile virtually immune to Paralysis, a status that reduces your speed.

That's the part I hate about it. It isn't even well suited for that type. Charizard learned dragon moves up the fucking ass. It is as fire breathing dragon as fire breathing dragon can get. Sceptile is a just dinosaur lizard monster.

Same with Ampharos. Funny pun and all but it really wasn't suited for that type.
