Virtual Console features removed. Lame.
When custom virtual console versions do it better than the originals
>presumable to be in an effort to prevent the cloning of Pokémon
We're not allowing you to clone Pokemon that are unable to be traded beyond the emulated 20 year old game!
>people seriously thought they would be allowed to have multiple save files
What, only got into Pokémon last year?
Isn't there a cloning method glitch or was that just GS? Either way, their reasoning is shitty when there are two different glitches that can get you any pokemon or unlimited items. I doubt they went through the effort to patch those.
where did i say this is a Remake
restore points is another Save option
Complaining about lack of multiple saves on a Virtual Console title that didn't have multiple saves is foolish which is why I said it isn't a remake so wouldn't have additional features.
You used to be able to deposit a pokemon, change boxes, and turn the power of when it said not to. The pokemon would both be in your party and in the box. It would also clone held items in GS. Multiple saves wouldn't affect this.
fags who believed gen 1 remakes allows trading via online connections btfo. fucking idiot cunt. i bet they also believe pokemon go is gen 1 only. so fucking cant wait till it get released so i can fucking smear my cum all over their faces.
Will there be a way to play the surfing minigame in Yellow?
Why would you need it anyway? You can save anywhere, and even if you have to leave mid battle just close the game and open later, it loads at the same point, you don't even have to save if you never reset it
Also the "multiple save points" argument is retarded, you can have only one restore point so it's the same shit
The 'restore point' is for games without a saving system or that only let you save at certain areas. Pokemon already let's you save whenever you want, so what's the big deal about it being removed?
It would even work between Save Files, so if you did it correctly you could have All Three Starters without trading.
Only downside is that the Cloned Starters wouldn't have your ID and shit, so you'd have to put up with them disobeying you unless you breed them with a Ditto.
People are actually going to spend $10 on this pile of shit? Holy shit I wish I was head of GameFreak. Just swimming in all that money must feel great.
Just inject the damn game when it comes out so you can get the wireless connectivity. Don't pay for shit that should be free as a courtesy to long time players.
I fucking love that cum drummer
Got any more of her?
Also on topic:
It could be easy to implement wireless support for other games so not only RBY but maybe GSC and others
Also the game comes preinstalled with the N3DS consoles so the legitimate cia would be easy to rip off the system
So if I'm reading this correctly you can have either option 1 with the standard saving feature that you use within the game, but opt out of the VC menu, or option 2 where you opt out of the standard saving feature, but use the VC menu.
I think a better way to go about it would be just combine both saves into the same one, so if you had a save from the standard way, and then used the VC it would overwrite it.
Also how does this stop people who opt for the VC option when changing boxes and trading both trigger saving?
This just raises more questions to speculate on until the game drops I suppose.
Thanks, sorry for the lack of Flo in my life, lost my old hdd contents a while ago; this should help me fill it up
Who said anything about both options? You have one save, the in-game save, that's it, no other options.
^not to that guy but anyone who expected VC features was delusional, you think Nintendo/Game Freak is gonna let you freely make back up saves, trade out Pokemon, and restore the saves? really?
I mean I know they're 20 year old games and that the Pokemon on them can't leave those games except for other gen 1 games but did you guys honestly expect them to break the spirit of the game like that?
I would, but if all my friends are going to fall for the meme, I'd want to trade and battle with them.
CFW and cias are the best
That's the plan.
Really? Then it should be trivially easy.
Ohh ok I went and re-read it and understand now, reading comprehension.
According to what I've read, the VC handles searching for a wireless partner, the rest is handled as a wired connection
Best-case scenario is that the games can be readily implemented without any change in the internals
We would lose restore points but gb games take little space so having 2 copies of the game with different ID's could be easily pulled off
>gb games take little space
True fucking story. I'm looking at every game I've ever loved from my childhood gameboy collection, and it can't even break 20mb. I was impressed the other day when I found out that the DS only had 4mb of RAM, and now it doesn't surprise me that the original gameboy only had 8kb. Either Nintendo's programmers were geniuses and used a lot of clever hacks, or gameboy games were dead simple. I'm inclined to believe it's the former, since I was reading on all of the programming wizardry they pulled off to make NES games run as well as they did. It's a shame that games are written as sloppy as they are these days because the end user's computational power is mostly considered unlimited.
I imagine it would've been hard as fuck for most of my colleagues in software engineering to program something as dead simple as an 8 kb game with yesterday's tech
Most of the people who work with me can't do anything without stretching their google skills
>can't do anything without stretching their google skills
Fucking pathetic. I swear that's going to be the downfall of this generation. Software engineering should teach efficient programming so that everything runs more efficiently. I can only imagine how powerful our current machines could be if we weren't so wasteful in our software.
I'm really ignorant and have no idea what I'm talking about, It's just sad that kids google everything and gluttonous software pisses me off.
>fixes in place to prevent cloning Pokemon
>can't trade them online or Bank them anyway
Who the fuck cares if I wanna clone Pokemon? The only people who'll care are my friends, who will probably WANT my duplicates of rare mons like Chansey and Kangaskhan.
Get your shit together, Game Freak. Security exploits only matter if the thing being exploited you know, MATTERS.
>fags who believed gen 1 remakes allows trading via online connections btfo
I never believed it, but I WANTED it.
Why would I buy a VC version of a game I already own, especially when it has NO connectivity with the recent games?
It could work, we know the 3DS has the ability to connect with Wii U from Smash.
I want a new Stadium game in general. Maybe even save it for Gen 7 with Gen 6 compatibility that way both games can have a postgame equivalent. Then patch the game whenever new Megas come out so it can be compatible with future games. The possibilities are there.
Every other VC game in this category has restore points, regardless of how many save files it has. It's still foolish, but not for the reason you're saying.
Restore points overwrite saves. So you can catch mewtwo, make a restore point, trade it over to another game which saves, and then reload your restore point, and boom two mewtwos.
The game has been out for 20 years anon, I'm sure it's been dumped by now
The main problem isn't the career or anything, it's the students themselves; they can't move an inch without consulting google and shit, not to mention most popular dev platforms already make debugging a breeze
which is both a blessing and a curse; goodbye 10+ hour long debugging sessions
For comparison, this image is about 4 times bigger than Super Mario Bros' rom size.
>who will probably WANT my duplicates of rare mons like Chansey and Kangaskhan.
Exactly, fuckers have to earn it themselves, stop handholding your friends you piece of shit. This is why the world is filled with fucking casuals that can't even catch all original 151,
>since I was reading on all of the programming wizardry they pulled off to make NES games run as well as they did.
Nintendo generally pulls off some amazing feats with their tech. It's pretty much the only reason why people buy solely Ninty games on Ninty systems.
Injects. Virtual Console games are really roms bundled with an emulator so if you know what you're doing you can take something like Link's Awakening and swap it out with Crystal.
