My only issue is I don't like how they automatically change back. I know it wouldn't serve any real purpose to keep them there, but I'd be okay with removing held capability and introducing an element where if you have multiple megas on your team, it'd be similar to a pokemon not listening to you if you don't have enough badges.

Megas feel somewhat cheap with them continually changing back.

I'd also add

-Only one stone per game so you can only have one unless you feel like trading around

I'd rather it be a permanent, "Ultimate" evolution rather than a spur of the moment super saiyan bullshit. Also I don't feel like watching the animation everytime.

We need more, but we need two megas per team so people don't have to choose only one out of however many. This would also promote more strategies.

I hope they do this in Z. They could just prevent you from evolving the second one if you're battling an XY or ORAS trainer online.

It certainly starts feeling that way.

I think Mega Evolution might become a cyclic feature similar to Battle Frontier and the like. Gen 7 will probably introduce a new gimmick like fusions, variants or whatever and GameFreak certainly won't want Megas to overshadow that new mechanic at least for the first entry. I can see GameFreak temporarily removing Mega Stones and only bringing them back in the third version, so Megas feel fresh again. They did something like similar in gen 5, when BW temporarily removed old Pokemon from the main story. It certainly worked as intended seeing as during BW2 everyone was suddenly creaming themselves over old Pokemon coming back.

Most megas are already practically a postgame only thing.

Charizard and Mewtwo having multiple Megas is absolutely retarded. Otherwise it's a fine mechanic. I love using Mega Mawile on my teams.

Maybe by Z the Mega Accessories will go into mass production and will be widely available for everyone. It would actually be a pretty cool thing to base the Zs plot around, but I doubt GameFreak is that creative
