It ties into the "story" from this expansion. Half of the cards take place in the Red dimension and half take place in the Blue dimension. The Blue cards are all in a rural farmland, while the Red cards are in a high tech city.

There are are a few other cards like Chespin that we see both universe versions of. Like in the Blue dimension, Doduo is a mail delivery bird. In the the Red dimension, he's the mascot for the postal service.
