Xatu has a rather diverse movepool and a powerful ability, but its problem is that it has crappy stats all around and can't kill anything healthy without taking a great deal of damage in return if not dying. It doesn't really scare much off and is weak to Knock Off too. So this is a pokemon that needs support and for the opponent to be worn down before it can come in.

Sigilyph might actually pair well with it because it can Psycho Shift burns into the enemy, and the threat of switching into a burn also keeps people from freely coming in on it.

Aegislash would fit an "ancient" theme and its strong offensive and defensive capabilities would pair well with both of them although the problem is that it, like the other two, also has a Knock Off weakness.

Mamoswine is properly old and offers a great deal of power with two powerful STAB types and Ice Shard.

Cofagrigus and Bronzong both have applications in an "ancient" team and also lack a stealth rock weakness, but they're weak to Knock Off too.

Could put a dragon or Gyarados on there too.

Has anyone tried a mixed charizard y? I was thinking naive with a set of Flamethrower/fire blast, solar beam, dd, eq. Don't know about ev's yet. Has anyone tried something similar? I typically run modest flamethrower solar beam, dragon pulse, and roost as a type of wall breaker, but the mixed set seems like a decent sweeper.

With no vgc 16 thread i figured battle styles could be discussed here. While this isn't the return of weather wars, it is the beginning of primal weather. This being said, both kyogre and groudon would appreciate support that appreciates their weather. Swift swimmers like Kabutops and Swampert benefit greatly from kyogers thunder. Swamperts ice punch can help defeat pesky grass types too. My question is who is the best support in sun for groudon. Is it a solar powered mega houndoom, solar power heliolisk, or a chlorophyll abuser? Also can parasect be very viable in a doubles with surf kyogre?
