I was debating on getting a New 3DS, I've made my decision.
new 3DS system (white color again)
2 face plates
2 games installed (red & blue)
pokemon home theme code
What the system does:
better cpu processor
customizable face plates
New 3DS has better 3D rendering so it doesn't cut/blur out at certain angles. Aside from that, it has a C-Stick (really a nub), rearranged the cartridge and stylus location, switched to a MicroSD mounted behind the battery compartment and improved cameras. The regular sized N3DS also comes with the ability to interchange faceplates (such as the ones that will be included in the bundle)
games are supposed to take advantage of the new C-Stick but so far, only a handful of titles have utilized it.
>Babby's first magic wand selection
>White pixels between the black outline and background
>People will still buy this shit
At least add a white glowy outline or something jesus fuck is this babby's first photoshop? Early sugi art doesn't have the cleanest outlines but how can you look at that and think that's ok? I hope that's just a promotional image and the actual thing is better.
Yeah, that is kind of lazy. That said, I've been playing these games since the originals, so having the box art on the back gives me a little inside mini-hype. It shouldn't, but hey, nostalgia.
This is the original art used back in the 90s.
To be honest, I prefer Sugimori's older style to how he draws today. Not even nostalgia goggles, just that they looked better back then, vs. his *GLOSSY GLOSSY* art style today.
>copy paste sugi art
>charizard's background looks like literal bloody smeared shit
>nothing noteworthy in the background at all or any other R/B art or references
not worth the payout for a new 3ds, put some effort into these things for fucksakes.
>using the shitty international box art as a cover
>not the superior Japanese one
I fucking hate nostalgiafags
It's already been possible for around half a year you dummy
I been in the market for a new 3ds since my gen 1 3ds got a fucked L button.
Been waiting for NA to get the smaller N3DS, since I like portability. (Also I'm a sucker for the SNES buttons.)
Pokemon plates are a nice bonus, and I had plans on getting the rehashes. So might as well.
Shame about that region locking. Come on Nintendo, it's the current year.
PLEASE excuse me for this incredibly dumb question, but what is the process of preordering? I have never bought/preordered anything from gamestop. When can I do it? Is it the better thing to do? Do you have to do it in-store?
they do but it depends on a few things:
>are they 24hr stores?
>do your stores participate in midnight releases?
>how fast do they stock their merchandise?
>what are their delivery/shipment dates?
my local 24hr Walmart stocks things every Wednesday and receive their shipments around 8PM and don't do midnight releases.
I was going to suggest contacting Gamestop CS but I guess they removed the phone ans chat options after the amiibo debacle
find out, it'll be the difference between no sleep and waking up early in the morning
>using Japanese release-only art on international release instead of international art
The Japnese version is using the exact same box art as its original release. That's more nostalgiafagging.
US isn't receiving that coverplate, only Japan and Europe
you can try and order it from GAME or Amazon UK but I don't think they've made it available on their site. Keep an eye on Nippon Yasan too, they already put up the 2DS so I'm assuming the coverplates aren't far behind
>tfw preorderes 20 from my local retailer and going to sell them to Americans on ebay for insane prices
There are two different handhelds, the New 3DS and the New 3DS XL, right? And while Japan had both, we only got the New 3DS XL, right? So is this new 3DS the normal size, or is it an XL? If it's normal size I'll probably juts go buy a New 3DS XL instead.
how did you get your preorder to go thru?
>"How to fake a GameStop..."
>"How to Photoshop"
>"how to fake a GameStop..."
>"how to Photoshop"
as in trade-ins? if you're a Power Up Pro member, they give you an extra 5-7% on trade-ins
just sell your old 3DS on craigslist/kijiji, you'll get more money there than through Gamestop
or even ebay, you'll get more money there.
>$24 for 3DS with stylus and charger ($30 for Power Up Pro)
>$32 for XLs with stylus and charger ($40 for Power Up)
>$80 for N3DS XL ($100 for Power Up Pro)
nothing has been said about any of the special edition 2DS
>going to transfer my stuff over to the 20th Anny N3DS and then sell my N3DS XL on craigslist for $150
I'm going to try to do this but I've never used Craigslist
Also, since red and blue come pre installed I guess you have to do a system restart to get your stuff back on it
>still no way to get a small black new 3ds in north america
I feel your pain
I used all my Nintendo club surveys and I wrote on all of them to please send the regular sized new 3ds and i called often
When the ac bundle got announced I thought the black wouldn't be far behind
no, just re-download the game from the eShop for free once you're done with the transfer
Craigslist is pretty straight forward, post your item for sale with a price, description of item and some pictures. You can choose to be contacted via email or phone (either call or text); phone is a lot quicker though. Once you come to a deal with someone, either choose to meet the person in a well lit, busy, public place (if you're in a sketch neighborhood, this is perfect for you) or have them come to your house (don't let them in, just have them call you when they arrive and do the exchange outside).
I don't live in the most safest of places (San Bernardino) but I've never had an issue using Craigslist. If you're still not comfortable with meeting up at a public place, take a friend with you just in case
I want one really bad, but I need money for textbooks
Why no Venusaur for Pokemon Green?
