FUCK YOU GAMEFREAK
Why do Europe and Japan get these, while we only get some shitty plastic fucking faceplates? What did North America ever do to be Game Freak's redheaded stepchild?
Cry me a fucking river. Europe gets shafted so often by Nintendo (like the recently discontinued Nintendo Club points thing. America got games, figures, all sorts of cool shit, whereas Europe got DSi points and some fuckawful wrapping paper). It's time we got something cool.
We got Mario Kart trophies, a Luigi's Mansion 2 diorama, lots of OSTs such as Super Mario 3D World's, A Link Between Worlds' and Mario Kart 8's and more. The JP Club Nintendo was still miles better, but it was nothing like that anon described.
Be thankful we're finally getting the n3DS without having to buy Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer.
And what the hell do I need both Red and Blue for? I don't think it'll let you trade with yourself.
Would you really rather have a blue pack that only comes with blue and the blastoise plates and a red pack that only comes with red and the charizard plates? They're just trying to make sure you get what you want, and I'm honestly surprised they didn't split it up to get collectors and autists to buy two.
They could have, I dunno, let you download whichever version you wanted and thrown in some of the other VC Pokemon games as an extra instead of just giving you two copies of the same game.
For one, they are special - the colors, style, and buttons are different than ones you can buy separately. In addition, they come included with small collectible items that while not hugely valuable, would be nice considering it's the entire purpose of this set.
NIGGER IT'S FUCKING SEE THROUGH. SEE THROUGH!!
>People bitching about not getting transparent 2DSs alongside Red/Blue's VC release.
It's your own damn fault for not picking the Crystal Red/Blue versions back in November 2014, you know...
>have 2ds stolen
>see japan's special editions with vouchers
>green seems good, but that won't come to US. at least I can get yellow, which I want to replay
>US only gets n3ds with red AND blue
what the fug
Blame big-box retailers, they complained to Nintendo about having to keep track of a massive amount of special-edition DS/DS Lite/DSi SKUs and that caused Nintendo to release fewer special edition 3DS/2DS/N3DS bundles.
The whole idea behind the n3ds faceplates was that special edition systems would largely be a thing of the past. Then they fucked it up by only releasing it in the states as a special edition system.
that's disappointing. retailers seem to manage with other console's special editions and bundles-- xbox one had like 6 for this holiday alone; nintendo should have made it seasonal I guess.
I guess not getting my desired DS should be routine to me at this point after I got the regular turquoise DS because it seemed like the PokePark DS had no chance to come to the US; but lo and behold it came 6 months later
The smaller model has been available in the US for a while as a bundle with the Animal Crossing spin-off, Happy Home Designer.
This is the new bundle just announced, again with the smaller model.
>while we only get some shitty plastic fucking faceplates?
Actually, you get a single expensive bundle with two sets of shitty faceplates and both versions of the game for no real reason.
We get 3 cheap console bundles and two sets of faceplates on top of the two sets of Pokemon plates we already have (translucent Groudon & Kyogre and Pikachu)
