Gamefreak seems to believe that fossil pokemon should suck. Maybe it's like an evolution thing. If fossil pokemon were so awesome why would they have gone extinct. So it could be intentional.

Honestly it wouldn't be so bad if Defeatist activated at least when it had like 1/4th health or something. Like certain berries. Also Rock is, for whatever fucking reason, not resistant to Stealth Rocks, so it takes 1/4th HP anyway on switching in.

I don't understand why they made this pokemon suck, like for no apparent reason. Like I somewhat understand Slaking, but I find it hard to believe that GF actually believes Archeops would be broken with a good ability. If they do, that's pretty sad.

I mean sure it's stats are good, but it deserved better than defeatist

Losing 1/4th of your health on switching in by itself isn't bad. The fact that if you switch in twice your stats are cut in half, that's crippling.
