That's entirely true, though. I understand that not everyone has enough time to play Bike Simulator 2015 or is it 2016 now; after heading to college, I haven't had nearly as much free time as I once had. Besides, getting a shiny pales in comparison to everything you listed in terms of achievement.

I have four; the Gyarados from HGSS, a Shiny Dratini (gift from Benga in W2), the Shiny Haxorus from the Nature Preserve and a Shiny Tentacool (found it while looking for Feebas in Emerald).

I have quite a few, with notable mentions being a shiny Eevee (got it after several days of off-and-on chaining) and a shiny Furfrou (got it within maybe six or so eggs when trying to breed for a regular one).

Speaking of losing shinies, the only shiny that I encountered before Gen VI was a Blitzle in Black. I found it while training my event Zorua, so I decided to keep it out and weaken it with Fury Swipes considering how weak it was at the time.
