Why does GF hate grass types so much, /vp/? >almost no physically

Just make better Grass types. We know Game Freak can make really good Grass mons already, just make more that reap the benefits.

The resistances are fine. The abundance of common weaknesses is the only problem. Ground, Water, and Electric resistances are all amazing. If Fire and Ice didn't commonly accompany those types. And Flying wasn't the cancer of the metagame right now.

Really just take away some of those and we'd be good. Breloom would be amazing if it wasn't for Talonflame. Chesnaught could probably have a place in OU

Defensively it has really fucking gay resistances that makes it good. Ground resist is god tier. Electric and water are good.
FIVE WEAKNESSES is what makes it shit.

Maybe fuckoff the flying and ice weaknesses, give ice a defensive buff to compensate.

Chesnaught is high UU with a fair amount of use in OU.

Just because it has some issues with other things doesn't mean it isn't hugely effective against common things like Azumarill, Landorus and Lopunny. It's one of the few things who resists the Rock/Ground combo.

Ice's offensive properties are better used by non-ice types, but defensive qualities can only be used by ice types.

No longer rock weak and resists ground and flying. There its viable to run avalugg now.

Since almost every water type can learn Ice Beam, it should be balanced out by more grass types getting Earth Power and more fire types getting Energy Ball

Funny thing is, Breloom acts as a Talonflame deterrent.

Come in on something that you can beat out or Spore
If Talonflame switches in, you respond with Rock Tomb which is 90 BP due to Technician. Sash takes the BB and then youre guaranteed a dead bird AND a sleeping opponent, plus you can probably get at least one more mach or drain punch in.
