It got worse in the manga, it pissed off a bunch of Buizels and Floatzels, some of them Pearl tried to catch in spite of the situation.

Makes you think, there were more repercussions to this than just some dying Magikarp.

>In order to get that kind of destruction as shown in game the explosion would've had to have an equal level of force distribution throughout the entire lake. Not only that but the trees on the edge should all be burned or at least singed from the force, or at least have the leaves and branches torn off. How the Lake Pokemon didn't sense TG in the first place is beyond retarded. I'm assuming the stairs were constructed along the lake's slopes: where the ground is uneven like normal water beds; but why didn't they just leave them as slopes and have you ride your bicycle through them is beyond me. You'd think that since stuff went down at the first lake in game the other beings of emotion would be warned or feel something off and would escape or erect barriers around the lakes, but no, not at all. For all intents and purposes TG should've been a minor disturbance throughout the game; then in the post-game they succeed in capturing Heatran and use it's heat to evaporate the lakes of water, and then afterwards they use a device to cool the area immediately creating heavy mist/fog around the entire lake. That way a mysterious cloud would envolope the area and people wouldn't go near it for fear of getting lost. This would allow TG to collect the Lake Pokemon without disturbance. Then you bump into Looker and he looks roughed up. He tells you that he saw TG at the lakes before the fog and they beat him up. He tells you to go to the last lake near Snowpoint before TG. You get there while Barry was checking out the temple and you inform him and during the explanation TG should show up and you, barry, and the Snowpoint trainers would fend them off. This should upset Regigigas from it's slumber causing the other Regi's to abruptly awaken and cause various sandstorms, blizzards, and magnetic changes around the world. cont

>TG flees and the lake poke joins your party and then you are told of a prophecy that you have to stop. You go and hunt down the regis and after you capture them by traversing deep into the desert in the resort area and digging, and using rock climb, smash, and strength you get to regirock, and after you help Riley in another metal cave structure at this point he tells you about Steven Stone, and he helps you capture Registeel. Regigigas comes to a stop in the middle of the ocean and you use dive to battle it and end up capturing it. As you resurface TG is seen opening a portal atop Mt. Coronet and enter the distortion world. You race to the top and as you get to the summit Cyrus comes out from the Distortion World with Giratina. He informs you that he sacrificed all of the TG to realize his dream and then he battles you with Giratina, Dialga, and Palkia. After you defeat him Arceus emerges and casts Judgement, sending the trio into their primal states. You have to help Arceus defeat them and afterwards Cyrus runs away. Arceus then leaves you a gift and reverses time to undo the damage to the world. You and Cyrus are the only ones that remember any of it. The game saves and you are back at home, where the game starts all over again. This time you give Looker the information and he stops TG with your help. You go through and get your badges once again, and after your battle with Cynthia Cyrus storms in and challenges you. TG lays defeated and all in custody and Cyrus is deemed insane and is locked away for conspiring to destroy the world. One of the people in Snowpoint retains their memory and allows you to catch the regis again. And the game ends there. I think this would be a much better retelling of Platinum for a remake but too bad GF would never do something like that since "People have shorter attention spans"
